I made this to work with my Kaiser running VaniljEclair RLS7c
I was thinking about making another version where R2D2 shoots a laser beam at an apple but it needs a lot of work, I'll probably try with it later
How to install:
on WM devices with Android installed instead of WM (Kaiser, Vogue..etc)
Unpack the attachment, and copy androidupdate.tar to your SD card. put in andboot folder
Now you have to Install the update: I quote this from “How to replace Windows Mobile with Android”
Place the SD card in your phone and power on your Kaiser. When you see text on your screen hold down the D-pad. D-pad is that button in the center of your up, down, left, right buttons. Keep holding down the D-pad until you see something like this appear on your screen.
Click to collapse
Choose install update: you will see then some lines and then word Installing.
When finished, choose quite, or soft rest.
You’re done enjoy your new boot screen
For Android HTC devices:
Extract the contents of androidupdate.tar, you will see bootanimation.zip, then you might follow the instructions here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=623960
I wish I can explain more here, but again I don’t have Android device. Just a HD2 and my old Kaiser.
I got the R2D2 picture from this site
http://www.members.shaw.ca/david.p.z.888/star_wars/r2-d2.html
And the loading animation from this awesome place, it has tons of customizable loading animations
http://ajaxload.info/
I have also made R2D2 splash screen for Kaiser, I'm not sure whether it will work on other devices or not..
Thanks a lot for zenity for providing the programs to make splash screen
Make sure you back up your data before messing with your deivce
I hope you like it

Thanks Duke, lol, I'm just gonna download and install these both on my kaiser.
Your just lucky, I keep all sorts of stuff on my HDD, some of it's bound to come in handy someday, ( packrat mentality, you should see my attic, well, if you can get past 15 years of stuff that I may need someday.....).
Just a quick note, the Kaiser IS an android device, just not a Native android device

Lol
I was like you. but my HDD failed couple of month ago, and I had to start from scratch, and many of the older stuff aren't available online
The kaiser is definitely an Android device, and I'm loving it. my only wish is that if it had a flush screen.. that would've been very nice.
I can't wait for a similar android for my HD2

New HTC Home Icons, Clock and TSK

Hi All,
Been kinda scarce around here lately, since I was checking in today to see what's happening i thought I would share some stuff I put together. The tsk is based off a wallpaper I found at deviant art I think it was from Ken Saunders from mouserunner, The images in the icons i just picked up off the web and tweaked them to suit my needs.
I know everybody is going to manilla 2d but personally I'm going to wait till all the bugs are worked out by the genius's around here before i switch.
Enjoy

What's the name of the program that's at the very bottom of your phone. I like it. It looks like a continuation of the HTC home plugin.
Do you know if you can customize those shortcuts or anything of the sort?
its battery status (now home screen plus plus ), and yes you can pretty much do anything with it if you can set up an xml file.
can these be loaded with HHC (HTC Home Customizer)?
sure, just drop the file in the correct folders in program files, htc home customizer, and then choose whatever you would like.
OK, thanks.
btw i get an app execution error about a missing file from HHV V1.0Final so I will have to revert to 0.8 i guess
hmmm, I have v1.0 and it seems to work just fine on my device, I actually copied the files right off my phone , zipped em up and posted , let me know if there is anymore trouble.
great stuff, thanks
could you remind me of the name of the lower icon bar today plugin ?
thanks,
battery status/ homee screen plus plus, your welcome im glad you like it
call me an idiot but how do i install these...i found the current files and tried to copy paste and overwrite them but obviously they're currently in use so it says access denied

use htc home customizer, I tried to upload it but somethings not working, you'll find it if you do a search.Install it then find the files folder in the program and drop the icons in the icon folder, you can then open up hhc and choose the icons. Hope that helps

‡‡ GTX WelcomeHead ‡‡ May 3rd, 2010 ‡‡

ABOUT
Since no one made any WelcomeHead images I decided to throw a couple together. They are both dithered so they should look nice on larger screens. I have a VGA device so the dithering just looks like a single color. You will have to let me know if they need to be changed.
To install simply download and install the .cab file of the WelcomeHead of your choice. Then soft reset your phone and you will see the image appear for a few seconds while WM loads. If you want to revert back to the original simply install this .cab!

This simply changes the colors of the original WelcomeHead to match the GTX style.
Download .Cab
I swapped the default Windows logo for a GTX styled one and added the "GTX" text. Kept the color scheme from above WelcomeHead.
Download .Cab
If you would like to see more, or want a custom logo in place, let me know!
another nice one
Well I installed it on my GTX Energy ROM, and it's just stopped the OS from loading, I can't get past the Energy ROM splash screen, I have taken the battery out 5 times and it still hasn't booted up. I need to hard reset now.
*Edit* Okay, 7th time lucky and it loads, I think I'll be removing this little addon...
*Edit edit* Yup it did destroy my phone, I had to hard reset in the end.
cant open the download page
simple, n nice welcome head, love the design but cant download it. help help

Seriously!? Wow, the .cab simply copies the welcomeHead.## images over to the /windows folder...
If it would work better I can simply attach the .png images and you can copy the correct resolution on for your phone to the windows folder.
Very good ! Let me try it!
Here are the windows logo welcomeheads...simply copy to the windows directory for whatever resolution for your phone. If you are unsure of what resolution you need just copy over all three - your phone will use the one it needs.
Also, best use resco explorer or totalcommander to copy and don't forget to say yes when asked to overwrite existing file.
and these are the gtx logo welcomeheads....follow instructions from above post!
...Cab removed? Any mirror?
sorry but i have seen better startup images (ill be honest)
good try though
download
you will need to rename them to animated.gif and welcomehead.png

[MAR 04] [BOOT SCREEN] Contextualize This! MultiOS Device Startup Screen

Greetings HD2 brethren! I present to you YABS (yet another boot screen...lol)! I call this the 'Contextualize This!' Edition. For the last month, I have been using Windows Phone 7 Series; shockingly inspired by the highly contextual graphical user interface. I find myself pleasantly enjoying my experience with this new OS therefore I whipped this baby up on Photoshop. Let me know what you think. Also, I took the liberty of packaging a bitmap image of the boot screen in case anyone wants to make modifications before flashing (for examaple, I have my boot screen show my name and contact information in case my device gets lost). Please note: if you wish to modify, you will have to recompile the *.nbh image).
About the design/modifications:
New 'HD2' Logo. The number two is represented in its roman numerical form (e.g. II) with the 'HD' marker centered between these two pillars.
Monochromatic...'nuff said.
Foreground is composed of random text/characters; the basis of this theme.
Modified the Win Mo 6.5.x logo (simply put '6.5.x' in the lower right quadrant) and Android logo (It is now waiving! )

The Wars - HD7-B3 Conversion

Decided to have a go at my first bit of dev (if you can call it that ), by converting a game designed around SDK2 and bringing it to the Streak7's Honeycomb screen, It is similar to Cartoon Wars for the iPhone but nowhere near as good.....But it passes the time and can be quite addictive on the hardest setting!
I decided to do this as my youngest lad loves this type of game (as I do too ) I could not find a version other than the ones designed around a small screen device, although the original runs on the Streak7 it displays a small game, also it was an excuse to learn something new
The original game would scale up when the LCD density was set to 160, but this version scales up & lets you keep DJ_Steve's recommended 106 density setting for his HD7-B3 OS, I have not tried it on any other device other than the Streak7 or any other OS other than HD7-B3, so feedback would be appreciated on other Device/OS combo's.....Although I don't expect it to work on anything else other than Streak7-HD combo
The overall process was time consuming to say the least, mostly in the latter stages of fine tuning the .png sizes for paticular images, too big and the game wouldn't load, too small and it left empty bits of screen everywhere.
The programs I used to help me achieve my goals where:
APKTOOL - by Brut.all - For the decompile/recompile of original .apk (must have tool )
.XML Editor - For the obvious
IMAGE CONVERTER PLUS - A brilliant program for batch image conversions that can be profiled to your specific needs
AUTO-SIGN by Dave Da Illest 1 - Which enables you to sign your recompiled .apk (does what it says on the box )
Anyway, have a try for yourself and let me know your results

....As I expected TBH, I rekon the original would work just fine though, but posting that would of been outright piracy IMHO, this is more of a screen mod of the original that is based around the 106 LCD Density setting of HD7, I could of created a few drawable-XXXX folders for the different res, but then this just takes the file size to rediculous levels.
Many thanks for taking the time trying and replying anyway, much appreciated, button pressed!
