I know there's a bunch of threads out there on the different cooked ROMs that are available. Being a noobie to this, I was looking for any insight how to go about flashing my very first cooked ROM. I have a Tilt2 that I purchased a little over a month ago with a couple tweeks I mustered up enough confidence to do: crud scraper and some registry edits via rescoe editor. Flashing a ROM seems like there's a whole lot more involved and with my limited knowledge may wind up rendering my phone inoperable for life with one or three missed steps.
Any insights as to the necessary steps .... in a step by step manner preferably .... would be very much appreciated!
There's a whole step-by-step guide in the sticky thread at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=550540
If you're not clear anything, then post up your questions over there, and I'm sure someone will help.
As already stated read the stickys and post in pre existing threads.
On that note thread closed.

Please someone, anyone, help me out.
I recently flashed my trinity to Bepe's Rom...everything went alright.
Then today I attempted to flash it back to LVSW's rom.
I've done Hard SPL, updated the radio etc...
when I flash LVSW or MUN rom's rom, everything seems to go smoothly, but when the device resets I still have Bepe's Rom.
Tried several times to no avail.
Can anyone help me?
Please don't cross post, you've asked this question on another forum and it's been answered.
This question applies to both upgrading and WM6 in general.
The question was answered after I had already posted in both sections.
I'm desperately looking for an answer, not chastising...thx for your concern, but perhaps its misplaced.
It is still cross posting.
By your logic, if I have a question regarding HTC home plug, I should copy the same question in every single forum on this site, because all the devices use it.
Cross posting is cross posting, whether it's done on 2 forums or 20, it shouldnt be done.
Yes your lorship.
By your rules I shall abide
Means a lot to you to point out the trivial...so I won't deny you the opprotunity. Dwell on the petty, to your hearts content.
I endevour to do just that, peasant, no go, leave your lord's presence, we have important things to get done, such as looking like we are doing work.
Any takers?

That's such a broad question. You could go WM5 or WM6. I'd highly recommend a version of WM6 that suits your needs best. Check out the Wizard WM6 forum here and read what's in each one and decide what works best for you. You may even want to flash several before deciding.
Please read up and do your own research before starting a new thread that covers a topic discussed in length already. It only clutters up an already cluttered forum.
P.S. Do not double post the same question across forums and/or create new threads for that purpose. Your other thread will be deleted.
Done that
I have already visited that forum and have tried to flash new roms but they all seem to be for G3's. Everytime I find one, I try to flash it and my Wizard bricks and I have to reinstall the original rom to save my phone. And I posted twice on different forums cuz I didn't know who would read it and who would reply. People tend to stick to just one forum that they're happy with and only post there. I was trying to increase my chances of getting a GOOD reply that was helpful.

You NEED TO UNLOCK your phone... there are no roms SPECIFICALLY for G3s or G4s.. you just need to CID unlock your phone... read the damn wiki.. People dont just POST anywhere in this forum... They post in the forum that co-insides with their issue,.
I am new and have just bought an unlocked HD running windows 6.1 and really want to have windows 6.5 on it with one of the Roms from here, I have searched and searched on instructions how to do this from scratch but I have read so much that I just don't know where to start, could someone please point me in the right direction, as I really don't know where to start, sorry if I appear to be stupid but everything I have read seems so technical and I would like to understand what I am reading, thank you so much...
Welcome to the wonderful world of Blackstone!
Have a read of the Dummies Guide:- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=505377
Once you get passed all the technical mumbo jumbo, it's really not that complicated. Good luck!
As krs360 says, it sounds very technical but it is really straight forward. Just read and follow each step.
You can also get more information regarding the various components of the flash files here
Thank you for the replies, I will try and understand all the jargon, I will read it over a few times, thanks again...Where can I download hard spl for the touch hd??
That's the best advice. This thread will probably be closed soon, so please post any further questions you have in this thread - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=505377
As above post. Thread closed

Please god, don't use this tutorial if you want to keep your device!
Use HardSPL for Rhodium, not Blackstone .
Also, MightyMike ROMs are CDMA.
this thread should be locked!!! if the stickies up top dont explain how to follow procedures, then dummies dont need smartphones!!!!
this seems like a shameless plug for those snotty geeks over at PPC!!!
Or just follow the steps in the sticky at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=550540 ...
Nice effort on the part of the creator, however there are items missing that NEED to be included for noobs, especially. dominicanman912 is correct in stating, if you can not use the stickie guide for flashing, then take your phone back and get a purdy little iPhone, because it's too simple to learn. c0nv1ct77 , if they allow this thread to stay open, I would advise you to add info on the differences between CDMA and GSM ROMs. Also, the HSPL version is incorrect, they will need Rhodium and not Blackstone. Some link posts to the correct information would also be helpful. Nice thought though, some do need a plan English help guide, rather than what noobs would consider "too technical".
after the constructive criticism.. i have decided to agree with the collective and am goin to try an close this down!!!
sorry for the ignorance
“If ignorance is bliss, why aren't more people jumping up and down for joy.”
XDA'ers, thanks a lot for wealth of info, but I figured out there is no clear instructions to process of putting a new rom, radio etc on to the device. Are there any clear instructiosn for n00bs like me? I'm new to Android, but not new to Linux itself,so anybody if could help with what are the steps and howto guides?
thanks
