I had the places app on my home screen yesterday and now it somehow says when I open it, that I don't have that app installed. The icon is still there, looks like a place holder icon. So, how do I get it back?

I don't want to sound condescending, but you shouldn't start a new thread for this kind of question. Instead, post it in the KaosFroyo thread. Also make sure to search before you post anything.

Sorry, at most forums I visit, creating a new thread would be the best way to get an answer instead of adding it to an existing thread. I guess this place is different. I'll remember that next time =]
Also, I did a search, came up empty. I'm not new to the internet.... I search then ask. That's why I posted here. Thanks.

Here's the RSS feed version of the boards. Sorry.

awesome! this app is very useful. thanks
BTW, there is a number at the end of each forum URL that corresponds to that forum. If you put a , and another number of another forum, it will merge that feed into another forum feed. So basically I merged all of my favorite XDA forums into one feed.
can you do it for specific threads?

I don't know if you can mix and match threads but you should be able to use a single thread.

Dude, are you serious? Here's a suggestion: http://forum.xda-developers.com/search.php
I wonder how many threads you have 1, created that have been answered previously and, 2, created multiple threads on the same subject (i.e. motoblur).
Download ADWLauncher and try any of the HUNDREDS of FREE themes in the market. If you don't like what you download, uninstall and try a different one. S.I.M.P.L.E.
dam sorry guy

Lol yes.
@g4ess; look man I know your new to this stuff, we all start somewhere. Just for these types of things - search. If that doesn't work, I.e. can't find the answer then search. It really can't hurt to try something like a theme because you can just uninstall it. I didn't mean to be harsh to be honest. If you're unsure of something the best thing you can do before posting a thread is search and XDA is NOT the only resource out there. That being said I hope you find a theme you like, in my experience I haven't found any themes that don't work on the aria. If you're gonna use ADW, search the marker for ADWTheme and you'll get 100s of results. Johnnybueno is a good dev from what I've seen but I'm pretty sure im using one of anderwebs themes. also, that doesn't mean there aren't any good themes by other devs in the market!

For some strange reason my calculator is missing the multiplication symbol and I'm not sure why. When I press the blank space, nothing happens (attached a picture of the problem). Any ideas on how to fix this? I've tried re-installing the calculator.apk but that didn't seem to do anything Thanks in advance!
Wrong section, please move to Q&A section.
My apologizes for placing it in the wrong section. Silly me!
you can get a calc app from the market or reflash your rom.
The font you have installed probably doesn't have the character

good eye, I didn't even look at the screenie, I bet money you're right. disregard my last comment, odds are since dpeeps is probably correct nothing will show the (x) symbol.
Thanks! Didn't even think about that. I figured if it was just the font then I'd probably still be able to press the button/hear the action when I press it. Hopefully ya'll are right though. Thanks again for the suggestion
Im new to the android scene and I was wondering if someone could tell me how to create themes

Sup guys. I saw a thread about an app that let users choose different lock screens. For the love of me, I cannot find that thread. I have searched in the Captivate, i9000, and Android forums. I have also searched Google. Man, I just cannot find that thread. If anyone knows which thread I am talking about, please point me in the right direction. TYIA
I have used Lockbot for such a purpose, if you're talking about an actual app, not a system mod. It's on the market.

There are multiple apps available on the market and in the
"Themes & Apps" subforum. Just click on themes and apps, when all the threads pull up, search lockscreen
Not sure about the forum you are referring to, but I use widget locker app and it works great in case that helps. Tons of customization.
