I wonder, that is the autofocus possible in the video recorder? Just like in iphone 4. I start the video record and where i tap the screen the phone is focusing there...

First of all, this is the development section of the Galaxy S forums. You are asking a question that should probably be asked in the General section.
Second of all, you should provide a title that is more clear, like "Autofocus in videoplayer". So everyone knows that this topic is about that.
Third of all, what do you really want? Autofocus or tap-to-focus. Autofocus is when your camera focuses on a point AUTOmatically.

upgrade to 10F maybe it help with the focus
Not a big fan of the camera neither, I can't figure out how to take clear pics. Many pics isn't sharp.
I have 3 different camera apps and none of them is good on inside photo..
I have the original app, camera zoom fx and lgcamera, where lgcamera is the worst. Only on auto focus the camera actually focus (original). Still I get pics that isn't sharp.
I'm on 10f... For me it seems like it got worse after the latest update...

i have lgcamera pro and the free version, images are hits and misses (sometimes it's good, sometimes it's bad). im using camera360 and camera zoom fx as well.
have you tried changing the focus mode to fixed, or other modes?
I start to think that the only good camera that LG had, was the Viewty I, Viewty II its not bad too... Instead of learn... they do worst.

Yes..
In the original camera app there's only auto and face reckoning...
In camera zoom fx it won't focus in fixed mode, macro and infinity just taking the pic with ones. Lgcamera is the same and camera360 focused a bit (macro)..

Oh, it's a phone?? Naaah, damn, thought it was a camera....
Well, o2x takes better pics, even my transformer prime takes better photos.. but besides that, I love the phone!

I don't think it's bad and I don't really have any problems with focusing. I just touch the screen where i want to focus and when it is focused I press the the shutter button (or volume button).
I also had the N8 (well 3 actually) and woow I liked that camera, though I had problems with the screen, pink tint and things like that. After the third phone I took the money back. It would have been very nice if the N8 was an android phone.
I love it too,i hope the next version will better than now:laugh::laugh:

I recommend u to use Camera ICS+, I purchased it and it works perfect for me. You may try the free version, which is Camera ICS, it is actually the google stock camera with some mods, but I personally think it is even better than the stock LG camera app, hope u enjoy it.:good:
I use lgCamera, both free and pro version can provide better pictures with ISO and focus control, but sometimes it cannot save picture properly (resulted in picture without thumbnail)

It is changeable. Current duration is set at 3 seconds. How long do you want it to be?
Code: .field public static final RELEASE_TOUCH_AF_DURATION:I = 0xbb8
where bb8 = 3000 (ms)

result is the final picture is blurry, and details lost although its tries to focus. its not just the visual part, seems to be a combo
Hello, I new in this phone. I now I use camera Zoom fx for take a picture, its very good quality of pictures. But in stock camera I am able to film just a 30min in HD quality... I want to film more then that. Can Anyone suggest me good filming app that I would be able to film much longer? Like till my memory is full.

I have CM7 nighties, so there is camera app, so you suggest me to use that app for filming? It film pretty good, but I am able to film just 30 in HD quality. can I extend that time? like one hour or two hours?
I tried LG camera pro app. it has a lot of options to capture picture and capture video. But I notice that when I capture video auto focus is not working, not on lg camera pro and no on camcorder (stock cm7) , just focused at beggining and then no focus ;( could it be cm7 bug?
It's not a bug of cm7 is a bug of the app.. However are you sure that with stock camera you can register up to 30 minutes?

i really ot tested but in quality section is written HD (30m)
Those written have nothing to do with the maximum recording time, the only limit is the free memory in your device

ok then But I still looking for solution about autofocus... because its not working for me while I taking video
For autofocus I don't know.. maybe is a cm bug, you should expect a fix for your rom or flash a stable version (7.2)

Hello guys, this is my first thread, so excuse me my poor english and tell me if i have done something wrong.
I spend a lot of hours looking for a good app camera who work with cm10/cm10.1 and baseds. I always get mad because a want one who have the same features of this awesome camera, but that work the video recording without this annoying sound and focus. I was look for a way to change that focus, but in the cyanogem app dont have the option to change the focus of the video recording.
So i have found The Snap Camera HDR, withone is paid, but it worth. The are tons of options and you can take a picture and record without change any option, only cliking the reffered buttons. THe HDR feature is the fastest that i've seen im my life. Take the hdr picture in less of 1s here using paranoid rom.
I will post the link to google play! You really shoud try it.

Hi! Really like your app, just bought it. I can help you with the spanish translation. (btw i'm a noob, so i don't even know how it's done)
Hi all, the thing is that i' m looking for a camera app that would let me manually adjust the focus because auto focus, touch focus wont work, because sometimes i catch the image perfectly but auto focus keeps refocusing, its not hardware related since i get the perfect picture but the next moment autofocus re adjusts it. Please devs think of this.

Thanks for replies, but I'm looking for true focus control, just like on new Lumia 1020. I have purchased FV-5 Camera but it doesn't provide manual focus control.
Same like my problem...
Yesterday, I recorded a video with the default settings on the stock camera. Fine.
When I save it on my PC, I watched it and then noticed it was a little bit slow. Then I checked the properties and it said the FPS were 15 and not 30 as supposed to be.
Is it normal? Having in mind that the video was recorded indoor, in the night, with a lamp as a light source (yes, low light conditions).
Thanks.
Maybe you have the slow motion function activated. Check that.

I checked that before, and no, I never enabled slow motion.
And sorry, I didn't know where this thread was, so thanks for getting me notified.
