I have had my tilt for about three weeks now. video is slow and sluggish,
is there anything wrong with it or is that just the way it is. when you move it lags and takes a while for the video to catch up and focus.
and is there any help out there to replace the lcd..
Thank you. I have already broke it and got a new one on the way.
Dude... Look around man.. Come on... Look at the stickys' look at the titles of all the posts..

I think everyone else around here is reporting that the video is SO fast that the battery actually catches fire. It must be your phone. I'd take it back and exchange it for a RAZR or something.
I bet the video will look better once you install the new lcd.

You need to take out your Windows Mobile 6 CD, connect your USB cable to your device and computer, place the CD in the CD Drive and wait for the wizard, reinstall your OS, just do a complete format and reinstall.

Ok guys no need to lose temper =)
Your problem is what every Kaiser out there has. It is related to the fact that HTC didn't include proper drivers, so if your video is big and not properly converted it may be slow and sluggish.
Just read some sticky posts at the top or go to htcclassaction.org for full info on the problem.
thank you
Thank you for the information

I like this, vid quality could be better, but I haven't really gotten a chance to mess with it cause I'm at work, but first impression is good.
Funny that this is available today, I was literally thinking of something just like this last night, then bam, here this is. Sweet.

So what brand of videos does this use? mp4, 3gp some other proprietary format?
The videos suck. I can't find instructions on how to use your own. I don't know what half these songs are!

Hey guys. Sorry to bug, but i did use the search option and check through the forums before posting this.
I installed the soak OTA and I am unhappy with a few things about it. I am very much wanting to go back to the original stock (pre soak / ota)
I was wondering how i would go about doing this or if someone would be super awesome and willng to help.
I appreciate any help that comes my way. thanks guys.
As far as I know there is no way back at this point. That was part of the reason for all the warnings attached to the post.
Unless something has come up in development that I have not seen yet you may be stuck.

Yeah you are stuck. Although the leak is apparently the same as the new ota, which is coming shortly. The buld numbers and all that good stuff matches exactly. So, you woulda been stuck with that anyways, unless you refused the update

the OTA has made the video record mode an absolute nightmare. the phone used to record at a minimum of 20 or 19fps in extreme low light. now it shoots as low as 12fps. unacceptable.
there has to be some kind of program and image or what not go get this thing back to stock.

thats not quite how it works.
No seriously, try doing a factory reset, or at least try another camera app. I can't seem to reproduce the issue you are having using the stock app - the frame rates I'm seeing in low light are more than acceptable and no different than well lit video.
The update has been a major improvement for me and I think you're out of your mind (or have something else fouled up) to want to go back.

Your SDcard is probably fragmented or has errors. Try switching to internal memory for taking videos and I'm sure everything will be fine. I'm positive that the OTA/leak has improved the phone's overall speed so, chill . . . there's no reason to roll back.

I've tried that. saving it to internal memory and SD the phone now records at a much lower fps in low light than pre ota. i've tried it in dvd, 720 and 1080. what would once record at a minimum of 20fps now is 12.
It seems like after the update youtube wont give me any option to select anything higher than 1080 even on the cideos that plays 2k before now is gone . Can somebody confirm this and us there any work around on this?

Looks like they removed the 1440 option. Its gone for me too.
Yep ... it's gone!
Reinstall the earlier leak? Glad i kept it.
I had crash issues with a new update like a weekago. They probably removed that to fix the issue. Install the YouTube apk that had it before it got removed.
Not even worth downloading the old APK.. at this time. 1440 videos are so rare at the moment. Besides, the new update fixes the resolution selection bug. So I'm happy with the status quo . When 1440 becomes more mainstream I'm sure it will be back. For now, I have no need for it.

yeap .. same here
The widget is gone too. Why did they removed the widget?
Yes, but not for long

Heres an older version https://www.dropbox.com/s/k1z2y730k9cmqdo/youtube-5.9.0.10.apk?dl=0
Has any found a video that even plays in 1080p, let alone 2k on the YouTube app?
No matter what video I watch 720p seems to be the highest option available.
Same here. YouTube recently pushed an update earlier this week that removed the other resolutions. 1440p works on desktop via phone browser but is very choppy.

Why did they remove them? Do you know?
Interesting, I've just noticed that myself. Probably Google doing some tests again like they did before. As soon as the ROM's start pumping out we'll also get a modded YouTube app at the least.

Thanks this worked. Although not at first. I had to unistall the current youtube update for it to install. Afterwards i still needed to clear cache and data and reboot my phone to get 1080p and 1440p to show up.

Anytime ... yeah and make sure you disable auto update from playstore ....
While I have been able to select 1080 & 1440 using your methods, it appears the resolution is now stuck on 720 regardless.
Take a closer look and see if your selections of high resolution actually are, because mine are not. Looks like YouTube/Google put the gabash on high resolution for now.

Mines fine. Usually if I change resolution, I select it during a video playback but I have to exit out ouf what's playing and restart for the resolution to stick.
And it sticks no matter what, even if I restart my phone.

It doesn't make sense, the Phone is totally capable of doing 1080p and 1440p but Youtube won't allow we viewing it. My iPhone 6 Plus does 1080P without problem, I think event Google is admitting iPhone is better, so I will agree with Google to sick with my iPhone, Google made the App for both, and their own App on their own operation system do less feature, unless they have hard time to deliver that video, otherwise it makes no sense. Google makes me think Apple is better now.
I'm not sure why google went this route for android either. All my devices defaulted to 720p. Although on the note 4 the 720p is actually sharper than the 720p on my note 3. I'm assuming it's due to the better screen on the note 4.

I just tried the earlier mentioned method but I still don't get 1080p or 1440p. Weird thing is even after installing the youtube .10 version it still shows me .9.13 I don't know why I have disabled auto update and I clear cached and Data before and after and did two reboots no luck. I do have the latest update for my tmobile note 4 though. Any suggestions or help?

I was having the same issue ... this is what I did .... I personally use Root explorer Pro .... go into app or pri-app and delete youtube reboot your device and uninstall all updates from youtube .... reboot one more time ... Now install the App that I uploaded reboot ... go to youtube and see the differences .. weird is that I didn't had to delete cache, Just reboot the device .....

Do i need root to use root explorer? i don have root and i don't plan on rooting it yet seeing all the people are experiencing lag on there phones after rooting it.
root has absolutely nothing to do with any sort of "lag"; its what you install or delete/freeze after rooting that could be contributing to any "lag"

The thing is my device is new just came out. There could be warranty issues along the way. I really don't want to trip Knox flag. Anyways I bought this phone full price at a tmobile store attached to my line. Would I be able to call tmobile for warranty exchanges?
Do they care about Knox flag tripping?

You should worry .... I never had ... I have had so many phone rooting since the G1 and never had device issues .... Just pay attention to what your doing to your device and you will be ok ... Because you can kill a phone less than 5 seconds ... Its simple .... Its up to you if wanna take the chances on Rooting .... Also rooting the phone doesn't make the phone slow its the Apps that you delete ...
im gonna give it a week. if all goes well with the device and no warranty issues i will root the phone. i understand the concept of rooting but with other phones you can return to stock. with this phone it sticks which creates a little caution with me naturally.
