Alright well i have tried every eclair rom to date and none of them have a working facebook sync. All the facebook sync does for some stupid reason is sync all my contacts with a shortcut to MY OWN facebook profile... I dont know why it does that, but i heard some people have theirs working. Anyone have suggestions on how to fix this because the only thing holding me from upgrading to eclair is the facebook sync problem...
Hi all,
I have a couple gmail accounts set up on my N1. Whenever I send pictures by GMail through gallery it uses the wrong account. How can I change it?
Thanks.
edit:nm, i just realized it uses whichever account is currently open in Gmail.
Would it be possible on a rooted Milestone to run the Froyo version of Gmail? It's got a few nice enhancements like quick switching of Gmail accounts.
I recently switched from Perception 10.3 w/ Speedmod kernal to Andromeda 1.2 with the built in Ursa minor kernal.
I'm really liking this switch as my battery life seems to have improved significantly. But there are a few things I'm mssing that i've noticed. The big one is in the facebook app, i no longer have the option for push notifications or to sync contacts through the facebook app (i can still add a facebook account under settings, but this doesn't allow me to only add info to contacts already in my google contacts).
The facebook app installed is the latest (1.5.1). Is this an issue moving from froyo 2.2.1 to 2.2? or some other issue I haven't figured out yet?
Thanks!
Hi,
I haven't found any support for Exchange peak, off-peak sync support.
is there any way to put it?
thanks,
Hi,
You need to have Froyo 2.2.1 where the exchange email account has a "sync schedule" option.

As far as I know, that doesn't exist in 2.2.1. I'm running Doc's rom now (which is 2.2.1), and I don't have that feature. I've never seen that in stock Android (including Gingerbread). It does exist on 3rd party Exchange clients such as RoadSync as well as on the HTC Sense e-mail.
If I'm wrong, and I can do this on my SGS, please do correct me, because I'd love to be able to! I have a license for RoadSync, but I hate the UI

I use the seven email client, they call it beta but it is 100% stable. Its free and can schedule. I came across this program as it is the company that supplied samsung with the social hub email client. This is a nice unified inbox for me with the ability to work with synced folders.
I'm using Darky's Rom 9.3
The exchange mail client in it, has the setting to schedule your method of getting the emails ("push" or "manual") according to your schedule ON/OFF peak. There's a bug though --- the roaming setting is defaulted to "manual". I can't seem to change it.
So for Froyo 2.2.1 -- such on/off peak setting exists.

Did you try in 2.2.1 to set up a new exchange account in the stock email program ?
I did not have this peak / off-peak in 2.1 Eclair neither in 2.2 Froyo but was happy to finally get it in the stock email program from 2.2.1 JPY stock Froyo (I also had it this function in the custom ROMs I tried : Darky's & Doc's).
