How to beam photo out? Without using file explorer?

Hi,
Any ideas how i can send my photos out using bluetooth directly from the album? instead of going to file explorer?

Use "Pictures & Video"...

When im at Photos & Videos, I only saw "Album" and "Slideshow" at the left and right bottom screen..
Please kindly advise.

No offence, what with you being senior and all that, but as a reply, that's not very helpful. It would seem pointless to bother giving a reply to an obvious newbie question if it didn't help. I am having a similar problem, and your answer didn't help me at all.

in my "Photos & Videos"
tab and hold contex menu got beam file
same deal with
clicking the lower right button called menu

You are probably in HTC Album

I'm sorry about that. Hope you managed to get it working by the post above this one. It's very hard to participate on the knowledge of other users. Doesn't hurt to fiddle around, no offence...

Recieve pictures etc by bluetooth problem..

I tried to send stuff by Bluetooth to my Htc Magic, but my Sony Ericsson c902 can't send any stuff to it.. neither can my pc. have i missed something? do i need any app or is it any setting i neet to change on my htc?
i have made htc discoverable and have both units paired.. but can't get it working anyway.

Any one knows the plan of Bluetooth support on HTC Magic?

Try bluetooth fileshare (search in market) seens like it works to send and recive file via BT

tried searching for "bluetooth", "bluetooth fileshare" and also "fileshare" and find nothing

scan the barcode with barcode scanner. App found with search tag "bluex" sans quotes.

Anyone got an idea if it may become available for NON-rooted HTC magic phones??

I just got my HTC Magic. I cant BELIEVE that it doesnt support obex!!! Very very dissapointed

BTW i cant find the bluetooth file app on the market.. i even tried scanning the 2D barcode. But when entering the url in browser it still says "not found" in mark..
I need this app badly. A phone without bluetooth file receive/send ability is useless!!

Could it have something to do with your network operator? Where in the world are you? It may be worth turning on ' allow unknown sources' to see if that helps.

Version 1.0.3 can SEND files without root acces recieving still needs root.
Tested on my non-rooted magic and it works we're getting there!

Bluetooth is so painfully slow. I haven't received my Magic yet, so I didn't try this, it's a theory.
If you usually send files back and forth from one or two computers you could just setup a FTP server. It's really easy with the FileZilla server. You could then use Wi-fi to send files. Maybe there is a good ftp client for Android, I'm not sure.
Of course if you need to send between phones all the time you're out of luck for the time being.

I am living in Sweden, and i use 3 as operator.
i tried to turn on "allow unknown sources" but still no luck

I´m new in Android and in this forum.
I´ve bought "Bluex" (BlueTooth Fileshare) and I can receive photos but I cant send any file.
Where can I find a tutorial about how to be root in my HTC Magic to perform send an image through bluetooth?
I think that there should be a topic about that but I don´t find it.

Does anybody have Youtube.cab file handy?

My Youtube app that originaly came preinstalled wasn't connecting, maybe because I have my Verizon wireless Imagio flashed to cricket network, Well anyways I tryed to installed the Youtube app again thinking it would work, but installed an older verion, which worked just fine apart from rotating to the right hand side of the phone. so I uninstalled it. and now I dont have Youtube on my imagio...
please help

The problem is that I downloaded the youtube.cab file from the youtube site but the when i start the app it displays upside down when in the resting position using the kick stand, The new youtube version 2.2.15 isn't ment for the imagio. i have a unlimited everything with cricket, but when I got my imagio flash to cricket they didnt enable the multimedia message service (Picture messageing) on my phone so even if i go to the link and follow the steps and they send me a link to download the cab i cant download mms, if you could send me the cab or give me a direct link for the imagio youtube.cab, it would help....
P.S what is the version of youtube app the comes preinstalled with the imagio???

You should have stated that from the start. They will send you the cab through a text which will include a link. If you have a data connection you will be able to be directed to that link. If you dont have data setup then you have no need for a youtube app.

Dude I do have data, but even if i didnt theres always wifi, thats the good thing about the GOOD OLD IMAGIO...

Ok, i've searched but none found, so there is some app or method that "transform" G1 into Webcam? A sort of app that permit to recognize, from pc, the G1 Cam

First of all, i have already read the post, but the solution (screencast/screencamera) is non suitable for me.
In the first post i wrote: "A sort of app that permit to recognize, from pc, the G1 Cam" this mean that i ask for an app that make able the pc to recognize the g1 like a normal usb webcam.
I've serched in xda forum, in google, but i haven't found any information about this kind of use.
Writing an app that make this, i think, means that probably the progammer must write the pc-usb-android driver, and apk for redirect the cameraphone to pc via usb ...

Just tried app mentioned above, called USB Webcam.
does exactly as it says, but the frame rate is a lil too slow.
but, it does work.

[Q] TV Remote IR codes

Hi ppl,
I don't know if this is the right place for this, but I've already googled a lot and found nothing about. I've a Slingbox Solo, and I need to program it to recognize a remote from my new Internet+TV+VOIP provider, Vodafone Portugal. I wasn't able to find nothing on the web until now.
But, I was able to program the HTC One TV app to read the remotes and control the set op boxes
Now I have to find a way to convert the ir_data that I've found on a SQLite file on the phone to a JP1 format that Slingbox recognizes.
Does anyone knows what I'm talking about and can help me with this? I will be very, very happy
