Because apparently the general population can't use common sense, this is a video on how to apply: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-i4L0i7zk48
A .zip is linked at the bottom which holds all of the themes. Each theme has two separate versions, one using the Sense application icons, the other using the slide application icons.
The themes are of the stock Slide themes (Nest, Hoops, LightShow, Wildflower, Surf, Nature, and Palazzo) made from images by HTC (I only made them compatible with ADW).

2. For some reason I could not get the vertical scrolling screen to display the app background correctly so you will have to use the Galaxy S drawer unless you don't mind the select/press/normal images not lining up. *Problem with the Stock Launcher Code (Which ADW uses)*
3. Landscape is ugly, sorry, it just is.
4. When adding an app to the hidden dock, the right side of the highlighted dock does NOT reach the edges of the screen, I'll look into this.
5. Scrolling is low quality, it's just an Android thing.
6. The nature theme looks a little odd on the app bar.. thing. It has vertical lines and unfortunately, the way I understand .9's, they like to stretch. It was either have one really long line or lots of lines slightly larger than the original image. I chose the latter.

Good job broseph.
Wow... Good work J!!
You're such an effing swagger jacker.
Very nice looking! The only suggestion I have is to do something with the shortcut names in the app drawer...only the shortest names are fully visible, otherwise they're cut off (because of the border). Maybe there is no way to beautify that, so no biggie. Otherwise, beautiful!
looks great
thanks
looks awesome. thank you
Very cool! I installed it on my phone. Thanks. But I don't have clock widget with weather. How I can get it?

It's a widget that was removed from the market.
It rhymes with Dancy Fidget and can be found on the interwebs somewhere
Thanks for this you made aosp alot better to have. What settings do you have adw launcher at?

"Weather & Toggle Widget" has a skin that looks exactly like it also, you can download it and the skins (one for clock, one for weather) from the market, it does cost $1.99 though I believe. Totally worth it imo.

Ooohp, yep. I bought that a long time ago as well (Before it was Weather & Toggle Widget).
Also, the Nest theme s currently on the market, to find it you can search for either "ADWTheme Slide" or "pub:klinster". It is one version ahead of all of these themes (and as such has a couple of things fixed, including HDPI support and general fixes with the bubble).
Starting later today I will begin updating the other themes, and ready them for (hopefully) a market release was well.
not fancy widget
So i went ahead and uploaded a widget thats called not fancy widget it's not fancy widget ..............I swear it's not guys ......don't look at me like that. Also I can't for the life of me get the boxes in the drawer to look correct

Also, I'm not sure if Fancy Widget is considered warez or not...

I been using the one from the market everything is cool but the drawer boxes. i'll try the ones from the first page.
Palazzo worked real well using the slide version. It gave me a force close but i hit wait also want to note my settings which were already setup from using crazybirds theme (nest)
Drawer settings:
horizontal drawer yes
drawer columns to drawer row are all set to four
page horizontal margin is at 10
ui settings:
desktop dots unchecked
secondary action buttons checked
ab scale factor 10
everything else is set to default except background color in drawer
Okay I just checked the ones on the front page and the ones that say slide all work (i didn't test the others) but when I go back to the nest from the market it messes up the drawer boxes. Loving it thanks for your work can't wait till lyrical ink shows up

Well I present to you my second theme but kinda like my big first that I have been working on for a while now. I started once the 2.0 Icons became available cause I like the look and it made the phone seem more professional so I based a theme off that idea something that would be professional looking and still retain a style to itself
Aluce
: Disclaimer :
I would suggest doing a backup as this is still very premature and I want to keep a big focus on the style aspect so I am forever working on one app at a time. I know I should say all that I am not responsible stuff but I am sure that the people downloading these themes and testing know the risk so now with heads clear

1. set sensedock.png as your launcherpro dock
2. set your leftmost icon to go to the app drawer, then select custom icon and use the clearsquare.png as the icon
3. same as step two, but set the middle three icons to be the phone app. again, set the icon to be the clear square

thats it! just tap one of the three sections and it will take you there

then hold down each icon on the dock and set it individually

Works great!!! Thanks - I needed launcher pro, as you said, and at first all I found was the other one...it would be nice to port the HTC SENSE UI in its entirety to the phone. But, until that day happens, this is a great alternative and the UI is still quick, too, on the captivate. Now, could you point me in the general direction of where I could change the sound and image files of this awesome phone? Thank!!

its not likely that an entire sense ui port will ever happen, basically because senseui is for and by HTC phones, which bare a total of almost no hardware similarities with the sgs. (check this out though http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=737526)
you can look to the android general theme section for some bootscreens and sounds.
Do I have to root my captivate to do this?
All you need is Launcher Pro. Hit up the preferences menu after pressing the menu key on the homescreen and go to Appearance settings to change the dock skin.

personally i dont find that to be a really useful button so i assigned it to messaging
What's the all the ado about Sense?
So in a nutshell, is the appeal of SenseUI:
Customized dock
Useful widgets
Expose-like homescreen management
Am I missing something or does all that seem do-able in LauncherPro + (minus some of the widgets of course)?

By using Bettercut, I was able to use custom icons and remove the labels.
Thanks to jfritz2 @androidforums (link here: http://androidforums.com/t-mobile-mytouch-3g/187204-icons-cyanogenmod-icon-pack-2-18-11-a.html )
I placed my icons on the left and right edges of the screen, given that 99% of the time I am using the Xoom in landscape, allowing easy access with my thumbs.

I've found that Desktop Visualizer absolutely works with Honeycomb, although it's not available through the market yet. If you can find a copy of the app, you'll find it allows for custom sizes for icons and images placed on the homescreen.
UPDATED:
Using ADW EX, Desktop Visualizer, Widgetsoid, BW, and Pulse, along with some stock widgets.
The device pics take me directly to the XDA Forum for each applicable device

What toggle widget is that?
A few other things to note...
When searching for icons, I recommend using 256x256 pngs, the standard icons do not scale well in Bettercut or DV. You'll notice that although the icons are 1x1, they are scaled larger when removing the labels.
As for the wallpaper, I'm sure ou noticed my lack of originality. The truth is, I love this wallpaper. I use it as the wallpaper on my Honeycomb themed G2, my laptop and even my Xbox360.

No issues but when I was trying to set it to one screen only, it force closed on me a couple times. Once I got that set, no issues so far. I like the swipe gesture on the application drawer icon. It brings up your last 16 recent apps instead of the 5 limit using the honeycomb one.

I just ordered a new LG Optimus Black since my HTC Desire seems to sabotaging me, lol. I've come around a few images for inspiration, and i want to know how to get them. Haven't yet decided if i want want to tweak the original rom, or go for CM7, what launcher and so on.
1. First pic, fond this among the screenshots for Beautiful Widgets, but what i am looking for here is the launcher, bottom icons and their frame. I might want to use other shortcuts, but i suppose it's easy to make a custom icon for that:

"lightbox_share": "Share",

"lightbox_new_window": "New window",

}
2. In this pic, i'm looking for the neat notification bar without childish colors and with the elegant font used here. BTW, do NOT want the orange default color, hated it when i tried MIUI on my desire. They should be green or blue...
3. Can't seem to find the image atm, but i want some sort of notifications on the lockscreen about missed calls, new sms, new email and new gmail. not icons, maybe just text, and a red circle with a number representing amount of notifications. As far as i understand i can customize a lot of it with minimalistic text, but i probably need something else. I also want to display time, date etc, but not a lot of icons and shortcuts. And a nice discrete unlock bar of some kind.
4. Calendar widget. I like the default one in Sense, but i also like the look of (cal widget?), just plain text on transparent background, no clumsy frame around it. That might also be neat to have on my lockscreen, unless it becomes to much...
I have already purchased SwitchPro Widget and WidgetLocker Lockscreen, dunno if i can use them for anything. Is Better Cut a app i would need? I know this might be a lot, but i have a vision of how i want it to look, and i would really appreciate all feedback which could help me along the way
First pic, it's GO Launcher.
Yeah, first pic is definitely GO launcher EX, and second pic is obviously MIUI launcher.
Well, you can try both.
Now for the lock screen things, you can use widgetlocker, lockbot etc., and /g/o locker that comes with GO launcher. Just try out all of them and see what meets your needs !
Another thing, if you flash cyanogenmod, you will have a lot more options like in notification bar you can put as many buttons as you want; plus, using Theme Chooser application, you can try many amazing themes ! This device's hardware is quite capable of using every customization without any lag, and blazing NOVA IPS will give you the utmost realistic effect of your theme for sure.
Okay, can't say more. Check the homescreen pic thread in heme Section and see the other user's modding..
Thanks for reply I've been looking trough a lot of homescreens for inspiration and themes, but I want to put together my own "theme" with a sleek proffesional look. Not sin Harry Potter or Star Wars look I guess I have to play around with it...
But is it doable to grab the MIUI notification bar and use it in another launcher?

and thats a fact, you can brick it... I've already tried to edit framework-res.apk from cm7 to add the icons huexxx made but I was unsuccesfull, although the icons can be used with stock rom and nova rom [both are froyo] but can't with cm7 [GB] maybe thats the trick
Just picked up my handset from the post office, and the first thing i want to do is to make a complete backup of it, then it's time to "**** it up", lol
Ok, edit the framework, might look into that. But let's try to attack this from another angle. I don't need the whole dropdown notification bar settings, just it's appearance as it is there on top of my homescreen. Do i need to edit the framework to change the color/image, font and icons in it? I hoped it was just some xml and imagefiles to edit. Or is there a selection of styles for this part in other CM7 themes? My biggest issue with MIUI is the orange color they put everywhere, and on my Desire MIUI was way slower than the stock 2.3 rom.
EDIT: Or another turn of events, i could install the MIUI ROM/Launcher, but somehow replace the ugly orange colors. I suppose i could replace the icons in the bottom launchbar...
I've gotten so much further now But there are still some things that i want to change. Like in this picture, what widget is displaying weather info?
I've downloaded Beautiful Widgets, and i am so not happy with it, so i'm thinking of making something on my own with Minimalistic Text and a weather widget, just need a simple but nice widget with transparent background. I also need a lot of time to figure out Minimalistic Text, it has great potential, but is a pain in the butt to set up, lol.
haha you're right MT is such a pain to set up... I'm sure I saw that weather widget before, where you get the image?? maybe at the thread of "post your home screen" or something like that?
Ok, this is where i'm at so far:
I'm pretty pleased with my lockscreen atm, might fiddle more with it later, but as you can see, the homescreen needs more work, lol. The weather widget is Beautiful widgets, one of the few that are actually 100% transparent. I think i might change it for a combination of Minimalistic Text, and hopefully i can find a widget showing just a moon/sun/cloud, and get its data from the same source as MT, so they will match... These are the apps i'm using atm:
- GO Launcher EX
- GO Launcher EX Notification
- WidgetLocker Lockscreen
- Super Status Bar
- Minimalistic Text
- Missed It!
Also, what does the icon in the upper left corner mean? looks like <D].
Hi! I recently discovered the ssLauncher. It is a really nice and customizable launcher. It is design seems to be inspired by WP7, but it has more similarities to the WP7 APPS than the launcher itself. It has a clean and simple style and you scroll sideways to get to more pages/ catagories. I made this thread so we can share layouts and ideas, similar to the Launcher7 thread.
ssLauncher is avaible free in the Android Market here
I can start with my current homescreen

Great thread idea. I've played very little with the launcher but love its capability doing text-label "icons".
Subscribing to see the potential.
Used to have to use desktop Visualizer just to do the label icons themselves, without the slick panel animation that ss does.

It works for me with both png and jpg. You have to apply a shortcut style which has the icon shown, select style and scrolldown to see them

Nice one, good idea to just hide the navigator completely Gives it a clean look
Updated my layout a bit and added the zips for my layout for any1 to use
I'm the developer of the launcher.
I have found this thread yesterday and linked this on the ssLauncher blog, "chyk-ss.blogspot.com". (i cannot use link )
And i would like to give some tips to share your theme and layouts easily.
Tips are here, "chyk-ss.blogspot.com/2012/02/share-your-theme-and-layout.html".

Still a work in progress. I tend to not use it like a magazine. What drew me to it was the ability to basically put anything I want anywhere plus the grids to line it up.

Where can we posts request/feature?
I need a quick access to the page because i have a lot of label.
What do you think about a quick scrolling label on the top(right and left) to go to a page.
Thanks a lot for this nice application. It's my favorite launcher.
Sorry for the off topic.
loving this launcher but can someone please explain what the "padding" feature means/is. sussed the rest out, just not sure what this means. thanks.....

No, there isn't, but I use pages as folders instead. You can put the apps you would've put in your folder in a page, then you can create shortcuts to the pages. I personally just swipe to get to my "folders "

If you look at my screenshot above, all those icons link to seperate folders using the app smart shortcuts.
If you click the shop icon this pops up

how did you make the icons that size bud because when i try to make anything bigger than 128x128 they shrink back down to 128x128 on my screen...?, I have all my folders sorted but I'm not sure how to make the custom icons. nice little folder application by the way, cheers....

I have my grid size slide bars for height and width all the way to the left I believe that is 5. My icon size is set to 100. I then set the icon and resize it to whatever I want making sure to only have the clickable area exactly tje size of the actual icon. I can screenshot it for you later if need be.
