[Poll]Which ROM is the best that you've ever used in HTC Buzz: Wildfire?
My first customize rom was puzzlerom but this rom is very bugged, the kernel isnt working good and had a loot of freezes. Now I use cyanogen mod 6.1 and I' m very happy. This is great rom with updates. Cyanogen's rooms are the best because I have wildfire, my frend have G1 and we both using cyanogen rooms. I never using openfire and I cant say anything abaut this... This is my opinion

Cyanogen would be my fav if it had flash in it... for now.. wildpuzzle 8.0.10 since 11 gives me lots of network dc problems..

Id go for OpenFire for now. Until CM gets the sim PIN fixed. Then id permanently switch to that
I do not get it - what is the point of "Whats the best..." poll threads?
You should probably understand that every single person is different, likes and prefers something else.
Imho Wildpuzzle 2.1 1.0.1 and Openfire 2.3.

Cm6 no need for flash imo, watching the youtube videos is enough for me anyways
I am going to let out a secret here............
...........
...........
there is..... NO SUCH THING as the best of anything. EVER. There is a Majority, and a minority, AND in between, BUT there is NEVER EVER a case for the best of anything. We ALL have different needs and tastes.
Want to Know MY favorite rom? Stock. Its runs near flawless, EVERYTHING works and there are no major bugs.
Want to Know ^^Kevins^^, CyanogenMOD.
Neither of us are right or wrong, it just so happens that our needs are fufilled by that particular rom.
Flash EACH ONE, play around with it for a few days and then try the next and you will find one that just 'feels right' for you.

rarrrr internetz!!! the poll is asking an opinion? which is the best rom you have used.....personally the best rom i ever used was the private beta preview of w[ildfire]ndows 98 with added blue screen goodness. available only to me in my head. second best is openfire, but at least it tries.
This poll is just for voting your favorite rom. I don't want any arguments happening in forums :X

all roms where full of bugs.anyway.the best rom is cyanogen.but as i said:every rom is full of bugs.
they shouldnt do it with the chinish version
The best rom i tryed when i used my wildfire was handsdown Openfire.
Fast as hell stable and smooth.
if you ever have force closes you only have to run "fix permissions" in rom manager + reboot.
Meh cyanogenmod, wins alot of votes only by the name.
VillainROM for Wildfire!
Openfire 2.3 combined with SetCpu, cant get any faster than that
Stock - v.stable and has sence and resolves clockwork charging issue (I'm not rooted) and I couldnt get wildpuzzle to boot

What charging issue?
Well, to be honest, i went back to stock rom, just using another kernel that's rooted, and gives me oc capabilities.
I did it because even tho the devs are doing a great job on these custom roms, they are still flawed, some minor bugs here and there, but it adds up, and i can't just fix the issues my self, maybe some can, but i can't.
I've tried WildPuzzleROM 2.2 Froyo v8.0.11 & CyanogenMod 6.1.0 RC2
i liked wildpuzzle best.
My vote goes for stock Rom , then comes OPENFIRE fastest and stable too

Hi there !
I got my first Android (HTC WildFire) so can imagine I'm noob to these. I rooted the phone everything works fine now. I tried the CyanogenMod 6.1.0 (Stable) for HTC Buzz it works great but the main problem is the Location services is not detecting my location(India). GPS was enabled. Then the next problem was HTC take atleast 5 - 6 mins to reboot everytime. The Live Wallpapers just says it's loading and I left there for 30 mins still no improvement. So went restore the backup before i installed the ROM. So I wanted to know is there a way to fix this so i can use CyanogenMod If not then could you suggest me a ROM that has HTC Sense in it. I really like the features.
Thanks in advance,
Shyam
If u want sense... stock 2.1, wildpuzzle 2.1 (more performance than stock but more bugs) or modaco's 2.2 are the way imo.
As far as non-sense roms none do it for me, I guess I'm a sense whore lol
Sent from my HTC Wildfire using XDA App
Thanks Mate ! In your opinion which is good ROM without HTC Sense ?
I had a hero before wildfire and it was always between cyanogen and vanillainRom. I learnt then that I really love sense so since getting my wildfire I've stayed with sense based roms so I can't really say. Just nandroid and try I guess
even the most talented devs were noobs once... so there's hope for the rest of us!
openfire v2.3 has worked well for me, although im also looking for a 2.2 rom with sense that actually works

As the title says why don't everyone chime in here for a minute and say what ROM and maybe even what kernel you are running and why you chose that particular one.
I will start.
MicroMod Gingerbread ROM (at the moment),
some overclocked kernel,
and I am running this one because I have ran about everything for my N1 i can find in here and this one is good.
Running MM GB ROM v.20, with stock kernel.
Reason? I can't wait any longer for the OTA

CM 6.1 cause I'm to lazy to try all the different ones out there.
enomther's TheOfficial Nexus1 -> MIUI(0.12.31 with Wildmonk's kernel)
for enomther's, I needed app2SD+ badly when I tried custom ROMs, and it works OK to me.
for MIUI, I just wanted to try something different.
GB v.20 ... its almost the full port of GB and its smooth as butter
Cyanogen Mod roms ONLY, since day one of having my first android device.

MM desire HD with redstar 20110112_0141 just trying something different normally run cyanogenmod..... I change every week or so
stock miui, because nothing else comes close when it comes to user interface and efficiency..and weekly updates are the ****!! **** Gingerbread..yawn
Miuimod 2.4.2 running wm kernel... 20+ hours of battery and I get 12 down from wifi about 3.5-4 down on 3g and honestly I haven't experienced lag yet...

Hi,
I am a new owner of a Nexus One, and I would like to install a new rom in it. Which one do you recomend?
Thnaks.
As enomther is gone (havn't read all the posts lately on his thread) I'm on cyanogen 7 RC4 currently (since 2 days) and I'm really pleased for now. Nothing that bad happened and I got most of the features I liked from enomthers rom. I'm not sure if it's right but it seems to me that cyanogen is currently the way to go (at least for me).
Maybe this thread isn't located right here, has nothing development related, general would be much better I think.
try this one http://www.evervolv.com/
great rom, fast, stable, works great for a day use without wonk
you can flash with it darktremor beta 4 and a new kernel from inetersecraven
Reading is your friend. And as far as time go try them till you find one you like. Simple.
Also wrong section. Should be in general. This has nothing to do with development.
If you want sense than use MODACOS Desire_port... of you want gingerbread use cyanogen rc 4! Very stable and fast!

Use MM HTC Desire HD v1.7 ROM, it is by far the smoothest ROM and the best UI using HTC Sense. The ROM can be further modded and tweaked to maximize your Nexus One.

The thread of MM is VERY confusing! Which is the neweset version, the 1.7 final or the 2.14? Is it based on desire or desireHD? Is it possible to get the stock look of htc sense? Is that ROM smoother than MoDaCos original desire port?
Stock ?
No-one prepared to stick up for stock Gingerbread ?
I am, was on custom ROMs all of last year but now dropped onto stock 2.3.3 & enjoying the speed, stability and features. You can always add themes and apps to change it around.
I am struggling with the Radio - it takes a long time to pick up the GPS signal, need to look for a Radio fix somewhere.

For Desire HD port, the v1.7 is Final and you can flash just that.
For the earlier Desire port (non-HD), the v2.16 is the final version.
Flashing either one will give you the stock look of HTC Sense by default (except for the 3G and battery icons) when you first boot into the ROM. The theme and skin is basically changeable, so you have choices of stock look or another theme/skin.
Yes, I have tried MoDaCos and ALL the other ROMs and have compared them for almost 1 week non-stop. The smoothness of Desire ported ROM cannot be beat. It may not be the fastest ROM, but it's very smooth and stable (and you get the beautiful HTC feel). One main thing I like about HTC Sense UI is that it's got many useful phone functions when you use it as a phone on a daily basis. Let's face it, the best smartphone should also act like the best phone. I am currently on MM Desire HD v1.7, and if you want the stock 3G & battery icons back, there is a guy that posted a modified framework-res.apk that can be flashed to get the stock icons back. Everything works in the ROM except for HTC Locations which I just cannot get to work. Built-in WiFi Hotspot does not work, but there is Wireless Tethering included in v1.7 which will provide you the same function. Also, make sure you flash 5.12 radio for the best signal performance.
Good luck!
So... you made me curious
So the Desire Port (2.16) is smoother than MoDaCos ROM and the desire HD port (1.7) is even smoother than the desire port (2.16)?
Do one have to create an ext-partition o sd-card?
The only thing that bothers me is that HTC Locations does not work

Hi,
The 5.12 radio isn't exclusive for Korean models?
Thanks.
I'm looking for a more stable ROM for my G1. I've been running it on the Chromatic Dream for too long, I want something that can make it a daily user again without lagging/much lagging and without draining the battery. Thx in Advance.

well those are some pretty high demands coming from a junior member... j/k
lol im not going to say 1 rom is better than another because it depends what you like in a rom, but to be straight forward with it... Froyo is the way to go, there are many different kinds... stock froyo, themed froyo, even sense froyo!! but i believe the most stable/un-complained about rom would be Froyo by laszlo... hands down this rom is just... almost perfect, so try that and other froyo roms till your happy
happy flashing and good luck!!
Thx for the intel. I downloaded the ROM by Laszlo this morn; I'm hoping to have it flashed on my G1 this weekend. And again Thx.

I also wanted to know since my G1 is already rooted do I have to flash another custom recovery and re-do adb. Couldn't I just load the new custom ROM on the root of my SDCard and flash it?

Where can I find laszlo's latest rom? The only one I could find was discontinued in march.

yeah the sad truth about laszlo's rom is it was discontinued, but is still the most stable... lol and yes you can just put a rom on root of sd and flash to your device... but be sure to wipe data

As long as you do a full wipe via recovery first, that's the preferred way of installing new ROMs...
This phone must have over 100 roms in total, you should be able to pick one from that batch...
