ok so did the one click root... make long story short.. i had one click for awhile now.. but i had to reinstall it when i had to wipe data.. so then after i did, i wanted to unroot and see if it worked.. it told me failed.. so i rooted again (pressed the root) button and it said i was now rooted.. even tho i already was.. i then, unrooted and turned off the phone to see if that would work as well.. i rebooted and now my phone is STUcK with the nexus logo.. it wont go to the next part which is the mixing color one.....i tried to nandroid restore and it says there is nothing inside them..
when i unrooted did it delete my backups!?!!? omg i dont know what to do... anybody know what i can do?? i wiped data/ factory re set and its still sitting here on that logo... i can pull the battery and still go into fastboot/recovery...
PLEASE someone help me.. i dont care if i have to start all over, i want it working! lol

I have the latest clock work recovery...

Download and flash a Rom.
You may have f'd up your current Rom files. So if you can go into recovery, just download a new Rom from here..put it on your sd card and flash.

^what he said

just flash a stock root rom. that way you have a clean nand to work from.

what do you mean?
when i opened rom manager and choose the rom i wanted to install it asked if i wanted to wipe and backup or something but i know i check both. then i install the zip in the recovery boot menu and rebooted and no luck. then i tried another rom and wiped before installing and still no luck.
At the very top of rom manager, you must flash 2.5.0.1 recovery. Did you do this first?

So you flashed the clockworkmod recovery, booted into recovery and made a nandroid of your stock rom. Then, what rom were trying to flash?

This exact same thing happened to me. What I did to fix it was pull the battery, then wipe everything (dalvik, data, cache), and then rebooted. My phone was able to boot then.
I'm having the same problem with rom manager. I just rooted my desire using the unrevoked method, then ran rom manager. I did install the recovery mode first, then backed up the rom. How my desire is just rebooting to the htc screen. How do I get out of this?
Many thanks,
Joe
dumb question, but how did you wipe everything?

Hey, that's exactly the same issuing I'm experiencing now. Did you solve it? And if yes, how?
Well, a few hours later I solved it by restoring a backup and then booting went well. Also described in a thread on androidforums dot com (I can't enter the link here due to not having posted enough messages) .

I don't know if this helps, but I'm pretty sure nandroids are specific to which recovery they were created with, I read that somewhere a few days ago. If you did not have clockwork before, I would try getting the recovery you used to make the nand, install that recovery and then restore the nand. Then try the whole wipe everything and get clockwork and go to town. If you haven't tried RA/Darch 1.7 recovery, I would recommend it, I personally like it better than clockwork, it seems faster, and simpler to use.
Exactly What "Il Duce" Said Will Fix Your Problem, Same Exact Thing Happened To Me, What I Did Was Go Back To Previous Version Of Rom Manager Then Flash Alternate Recovery, AND Regular Clockwork Recovery, Should Be Good After That!

Stuck in boot screen after CM update through Rom Manager

Got notification to update to the latest CM, clicked ok on everything, phone rebooted, now stuck on boot screen.
Can enter CWM but nothing functions, cannot choose update from SD or anything.
Please help..
(Did search, probably not good enough, but nothing came up. Am also new to the Rom Manager thing. Please don't flame if this is answered somewhere already..)
Did you make a nandroid backup? I always make one 'just in case' before I update.

Thanks for the quick reply!
Am not sure I did; I think it asked me if I wanted to back up the current rom and I think I clicked not to. Either way, I cannot do anything in CWM, what ever I choose gets stuck at the little hat with the arrow and I have to pull the battery.
It's not a big deal (I hope at least) to revert back to an original image, as it's my back-up phone so I don't use it daily. Hope it's easier than that though..
I would say reverting back to an original image via the passimg trick would be your best option right now (unless your bootloader is unlocked?)

It is unlocked. Any magic trick..?!
EDIT: I can enter the options in CWM. Being used of the Atrix I was pressing the on/off button instead of the trackball to choose. Ffs.. Anyway, I tried wiping the data, no go; still stuck on bootscreen
I would try restoring a backup if you have one. If not, just do a wipe and clean install...
Unlocked bootloader could've been used to install a new recovery, though that now looks it was operator error... xD

You're welcome!
I have all the beer I need, but thanks for the offer!! xD
I have kind of the same issue but I am still stuck..
I have an unlocked bootloader and rooted atrix, everything was fine until I installed gingerblur through the cwm ( I chose to install from the sd card ), once I did that it finished what it was doing then I used the reboot feature through cwm. My phone is now not moving past the motorola dual core screen. It still says unlocked at the top left and I can still enter cwm and fastboot. I have read alot about trying to flash through fastboot, but I am sorry I am a newb and do not know how to flash through fastboot. I am desperate for help... any help would greatly be appreciated.
If you can still access recovery, I would try a full wipe and instal again...
Thank you for your response... I did as you said and wiped everything... found a .zip file for android 2.3.4 gingerbread and installed that through cwm. I now have a new question... what is the best way to create a nandroid backup?? I went in android recovery mode on the boot screen and proceeded to backup through the menus and saved it to my external sd card... the only problem is that when I tried to restore back to the backup I made before it kept giving errors while trying to install the backup file. Any ideas how I can successfully create a android backup on this ATRIX 4g??

You can start by going to the atrix forum and not the nexus one.
Sorry... just downloaded xda app and new to it.

PLS, URGENT HELP NEEDED!!! Oo

hey guys,
things first:
c5303, .201... rootet, LB...
so tried to do a "advanced restore" only of "system" with CWM... then tells me "error"... want to reboot... tells me "no root, wanna root via CWM?"... i say "NO", cause i once got a problem throught that...
phone reboots, GETS STUCK at "SONY"... nothing more, nothing less... no way to get into flashmode, or any recovery, doesn't do anything?!
what to do now??? i'm freaking out here, because not even "flashmode" wants to get activated?!
any one able to support any assistance?!
thx in advance
E: ok, good thing, FLASHMODE working now!
what to do next? is it possible to flash an old backup (by CWM) with this?
E 2: just reseted my phone... flashed everything new... hopefully i can restore an old backup now Oo
Possibly a recovery issue. When you tried to restore system, it might have formatted the system partition and then couldn't write to it throwing out an "error", so you ended up with no ROM and no recovery.
Since you can enter flashmode, option is to flash a ROM ftf with flashtool and root again. Because you're with locked bootloader, might have to start again with Android 4.1.2
Try newer versions of recoveries. They don't seem to have problems in restoring.

I also had similar experience some time back with CWM. But no issues with recent Philz recovery (plain CWM not using much now.. ).

No worries. Who wants a broken ROM?
Yeah... now i have twrp seems better than the cyanogen mod recovery, more complete.
Keep in mind that you can always freeze or uninstall the updater altogether. This can be done with your app manager of choice with root access to system apps. I completely uninstalled the updater as you can see in the screenshots

I need help to unbrick my phone.

Ok so, I was trying to update my rom and managed to get my phone stuck in a boot loop with no backup on the phone (I pulled it off thinking I could put it back on in recovery). During the rom install I did a wipe witch turned out to remove the rom file as welll. So I have been trying to move a backup onto the phone but have not had any luck. I have a stock rom and odin but no idea if it's the right one. I have been trying to reinstall the firmware but that is not working either. I'm running out of ideas on what to do. I have no idea what the status of the phone is right now because I'm sure I have messed it up more by trying to fix it. At this point I want to just get the phone back to factory status so I can move files back onto the device.
If you are previously rooted. Just making sure... if you flash the latest twrp.. it'll let to plug into your computer and access your memory.. so you can put something on it to flash. But only do it if you have previously rooted.
