[Q] Which CF-Root for XWJSD

Hi,
My question is simple but I still cannot in Development forum, in CF-Root thread so I'm asking here... I have installed XWJSD on my SGS (GT_I9000_XWJSD_XXJPY_OXXJS6_Sbl.exe from Ramad's topic) and just recently found out it's crucial to backup the /efs directory.
I was lucky to do a couple of flashes without braking it, but I wouldn't want to push my luck any further. To do the backup I need to root my phone and CF-Root seems to be the easiest and safest option. Unfortunatelly I'm not sure which file to choose... Is CF-Root-XW_NEE_JS8-v1.3-BusyBox-1.17.1.zip going to be fine? It's for JS8 not JSD and I'm not sure what XW_NEE stands for (my Product Code is XEO).
If not CF-Root maybe someone can suggest another solution?
I also have another question (for the ease of my mind) - Can the /efs be damaged by flashing a kernel (like CF-Root) with Odin?
Best regards,
Crocodil

[Q] Rooting P990

Hey just wondering is it possible to use an app called "gingerbreak" to root the P990 or do i have to use superoneclick?
And sorry for posting in the wrong section!
On some firmware its working, also z4root have been reported to work but also depending on firmware.
For rooting I would recommend doing with adb. Its more work but it pre-pairs you to solve problems that might come from "playing" with the device.
Rooting_the_LG_Optimus_2X
Okay thanks for the help
SuperOneClick includes the Gingerbreak exploit, so you can't go wrong with it.
i use superoneclick & use the psnetuer for the exploit.

Safest and easiest root method

Before telling me to find the answer by myself, I just want to said that I have already done that.
I know there is a lot of guide and a great variety of rooting method but I just want to ask some questions because I don't have any experience on rooting nor flashing.
What would be the easiest and safest method to root a i9000M on 2.3.3?
I have read about SuperOneClick and also about Doomlord zergrush's method. Which one's the best?
Also, will I lost my files if I root?
Thank you very much for your answers
I have use the SuperOneClick method several times without any problems and have never lost my data. However, I would recommend backing-up all the data before proceeding.
flash a root kernel (like cf root, to begin) with Odin for me is really simple and safe!
Realy, man, flash in Odin root-kernel - it's time-tested.
Is there any chance to make the phone not working if I do it wrong? Or will the software just send an error message?

[Q] how to unroot 5839i?

I rooted my Galaxy 5839i following the instructions from a thread. I can't instal CWM, I can't find a thread with full explications!
After many hours spent reading all kinds of threads, I understood that 5839i = 5830i and I have to "treat" my phone as a 5830i.
Question: I have to unroot my phone (how? - help me) or I follow this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1551156 (i.e. root like a 5830i, cwm, etc)
Thanks!

[Q] How to delete files that are flashed?!

Hello there, I'm just new to the forum and i'm here because I need your help!
Okey, let's start from the beginning.
I want to root my SIII mini ( GT I8190 ) because I saw a site that enumerates the benefits or good things that you can
access if you root your phone. So I searched and searched and found a guide. I followed all the instructions and ended bricking my phone or having a problem with the
firmware thingy thing that I cant explain because I am not smart as you guys are. So I almost messed up the whole thing but
luckily, I fixed it by, I dunno.. So let's continue, I tried and tried searching for how to root my phone and I found the one! But when
I went to recovery mode, I can see the logo, the whole logo but I think its stuck and I think it is because of the files that I flashed
from Odin ( which is 6 by the way, 6 files ), So I want them to be removed!!!
PPPPPPPLEASE HEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPPPP!!
THANK YOU!

download stock firmware and flash it with odin and to root your device download VRoot for me it is the easy way to root my device I'm new with s3 mini so I see that it is the easy way to root it
When you flash with odin you fully overwrite one or more partition on your phone, that means that you lost what was there, so "delete some files" wont change a thing...
It would be useful to know what you've flashed, but probably you just need to flash a stock firmware.
You can find a stock firmware at sammobile.com, just search for your model (exact model, fw is different for N/L/T variants) and region (if you live in europe any fw starting with I8190XX is ok. You may follow this guide for instructions and troubleshoting: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2159660
Anyways there's a very easy way to root an s3 mini, just follow this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2147852
THANK YOU!
THANK YOU everybody for your help! THANKS!!
