I would like to see what other people’s home/lock screens look like.
How do I take a screenshot of mine? Is there an application for that somewhere?
If someone could point me to the best reference areas I would appreciate it.

Hey churapa, there are apps for that, but the Android SDK is the easiest way. Just enable USB debugging, open ddms from the SDK\tools folder, make sure you can see your phone, and press Ctrl+S.

Here are some I capture of mine. Flashed with unrevoked team method, then installed attn1's Liberated B05 (thanks guys for a great job)and live wallpaper.

It's an apk called "free memory", it manages apks and frees up memory space according to your settings. It's freeware and you can google for it.

I have not attempted to connect my phone to the PC yet, what are the apps that can do this?

First, you have to root your phone:

Second, flash the room of your liking, I personally prefer attn1's Liberated B05:

Third, install whichever apk you wish, just read the forums, that way you'll learn hands on the job, believe me, it's the best way to go.

i would post my girlfriends homescreens but she has a MyTouch and is to scared to let me root her fone and all lol

i changed a few things i was juss bored had nthn else to do so i switched up my widgets n added sum n took off the live wallpaper got tired of my battery only lasting half a day

Which themes are you all using to get a black notification bar? I've looked and can't find any.

My notification bar came black wen I got my Aria... Check to see if you have android 2.+ I kno my lil sister had a HTC Hero with android 1.6 on it and the notification bar was white but wen I updated it to 2.1 for her and it changed to black so I guess that's wat it is.....o Yea n unless you got a custom rom that changed it... But im juss s noob so ill admit dat I might b completely wrong lol

if you are on the cyanogen rom you can turn the bar any color you want.

Under cyanogen mod tweaks and settings for the notification bar.

[REQ][THEME] GR-12 Look (Would be THE best theme out there)

Would any themer out there be able to port the way this ROM looks into a theme for Community ROM 1.3 (mostly the status bar and pulldown)? It would be nice if other components such as the touchwiz 4 launcher and gs2 live wallpapers were put in the theme since they are found in the ROM also.

The only 3 screenshots available dnt seem themed at all 2 me (besides the notification bar n pulldown area n we have themes w similar pulldown n same notification bar).... Not tryin 2 be mean or anything but I dnt c anything special that a theme already developed doesnt have

The thing I like the most is the grey status bar with the green battery icon and white signal icons. I am not aware of any theme that resembles it optimized for the community rom...

But for the people who like touchwiz this would be great. Or would anyone at least share exactly where the status bar background is located in the framework?

I'm with ya, I like this look a lot. Too many themes out there that are way too busy for their own good. Thanks for sharing! Maybe one day I'll learn to do this all myself.

If that is all you are looking for, the the UOT Kitchen will do it for you. Trust me I did it yesterday.

I tested it extensively yesterday with the fascinate, and only a few things wouldnt change, the status bar changed every time.

This does look really good. I love the icons.

I agree with the OP. Was looking at captivate roms earlier and wish we had this on the Fascinate.

We just need to find a themer willing to do this!

Hello, this is my Black Infinitum theme. It's meant to work on HDPI devices with CM9, but can be easily modified to work on every 4.0.3 rom.
I need help to port it over other devices and roms, it's pretty easy and i'll do most of the job

Porting it over Samsung rom's is a total mess, not a port but a totally new work.
This is REALLY easily portable to every HDPI CM9 or AOSP rom out there.
@The benefactor, you can, but it takes a LOT of time

There is one in this theme, you could just pull the images out and replace them in your systemui.apk

May i port it to galaxy ace? Ive got experience with it and i dont care about resizing its easy to do xd

[Q] [slimICS] status bar colours.

I am on slimICS, i wanna change the colours of the icons on the status bar to resemble the ones on the samsung galaxy s3, any way do do that?
and by icons i mean the clock colour, the battery and the network.

Try the TouchWiz theme chooser theme, you can find it in the General Android Themes section, PM me if you can't find it.

[Q] [REQ] SGS3 stock Apps and Widgets that can work on I9000

I found Gamehub app and widget that works.Working SGS3 weather is only form CM9 addon with specific touchwix-UX version that is also included in the add-on
Also S suggest app and its widget is working but says "your device or country is only available for limited service" maybe because I live in KSA
Didital clock widget also don't work (shows black transparent tile but doesn't show digits)
I just want to know that which SGS3 apps can work on our SGS like video,videohub,camera,samsungIME and other apps
If someone can make them work on our SGS it would be awesome

EDIT: SGS3 lockscreen port would be really cool

I have a Galaxy S3....what do you want and I'll see about copying them?? BTW the music app is out of the question as it requires the S3 framework lol
