Hey,
I'm a owner of a x1 and i'd like to flash my xperia!
BUT every time i flash, there is one problem: the layout of the keyboard is always QWERTY!
Are there rom's with Azerty layout? or can you change the layout in a rom?
Please let me now! Thanks

Hello,
is there anyway to get an english rom with a german keyboard layout? I know the question may sound strange, but i would like to have this combination.

On the ftp site there is a keyboard sectiion, you will find a cab to change hardware keyboard.
For software keyboard you need resco or solved, do a search as we have a thread on keyboard.
Oh, that's nice. I will have look at the server.
Do I get you right, that i can change the hardware layout of the keyboard although the ROM has a english layout?
Nase
yes ... u can change keyboard layout to german (or something else) when u have installed aother rom language ........
just copy the cab file to your My DOcuments Folder and double click it ... after a soft reset the keyboard language is chaged ....
That is wunderful. I always thought that isn't possible to change the keyboard layout.
Now only my new MDAIII has to arrive and that i can start upgrading to another ROM

Hi. I'd just bought HTC touch pro2 and I believe it's for the german market. It has qwertz keyboard. It was flashed with WWE 6.1 ROM ( as far as I can see it's official ROM not cooked) When I press y key it turns out z, symbol keys are all mixed up... I tried keyboard mapping software, but got messed up... and gave up. I need help...some people on other forums suggested that I can flash it with german ROM, but I don't speak german. Anyway, is there a way to fix it in my present software (except keyboard mapper) or can you tell me what to do...maybe I can try cooked ROM in english with qwertz keyboard view? If you can reccommend me any... Thank you in advance (sorry for my english)
I'm using a german Touch Pro 2 called MDA Vario V. When I'm using an english ROM (mostly energy ROMs) I change 2 Registry-Keys and my Keyboard works right with qwertz-layout and all symbols.
change in
HKLM\Software\Tegic\eT9\Ime\KeyboardLayouFiles
eT9.Rhodium.wwe.kmap.txt
to
eT9.Rhodium.0407.kmap.txt
--------------------------------------------------
and in
HKLM\HARDWARE\DEVICEMAP\KEYBD
change
"CurLang" from value="1033" to value="1031"
hope it helps
greetings

Qwertz/qwerty problem solved.
Spikee Thank you very much for the advice. It works great!!!
I have tried these Regedits on my Vario V as well, and while it does fix the Y and Z
issues, there are still some problems. The only way to fix the issue is to replace the included eT9.Rhodium.0407.kmap.txt
file with one that is from an actual German TP2/Vario. Only then did the keyboard act the way to should.
Seems the stock eT9.Rhodium.0407 file from the WWE ROM is not fully compatible
with the T-Mo DE Vario, which has certain KB mods. You can find links to the replacement
file here, just search around some more.
yes, this solves the problem. thankx
hi

i've flashed my x1 with a dutch rom, but it has AZERTY-layout for the keyboard, my phone has QWERTY. can I somehow change this? Or has anyone got a dutch ROM with QWERTY layout?
not really worth a new thread, already tried some searching...?
Mod edit: not rom dev related, moved to general
yes i did, and haven't found any usefull things that work for me, so i started a new thread...
I would associate AZERTY with Frensh roms, not Dutch ones
which one did you flash? something like this should be described in the rom des
q: are we talking about hw keyboard or sip?
for hardware read here
best
it is a belgian phone, and here we have azerty and also qwerty, both with dutch software on it. But the belgian ROM that i can find is azerty, not the one with qwerty...
edit: it appears to be a ROM with dutch language and franch keyboard layout, the value in the registry was 1036

Click to collapse
so did that already solve it or not?
yes it did! just look up the right keyboard layout code, change it in the registry, reboot and it is all set thank you very much!
