is possible to completely remove the vibrations in the nexus..please help me, i don't lie the vibrations
Settings->Sound->Vibrate->Never
the phone keyboard vibrate!!!!!
Haptic feedback!!!!!!!!
There is always the option of opening the phone and removing the vibrator. It's in the bottom piece and fairly easy to remove.
All the options to disable vibrations are done from ur phone. If it's the keyboard thats vibrating, look for keyboard options and it should be there. Explore ur new gadget buddy. It's worth it!!!!!!
Btw Pistuk, using !!!!!!! Sounds like ur screaming at us!!!!!!!

turn off the haptic feedback for the keyboard. Its in the settings for the keyboard.

On my previous WinMo device there was an app that made the phone vibrate every time the screen was touched. It gave a nice tactile feedback when using the device.
Is there a similar app for android?
The app SpareParts has a setting called Haptic Feedback. I turned it on and restarted my phone (might not be needed) and when typing on the keyboard it vibrates and when pressing certain buttons it does also (like holding the end key). So it doesnt do EVERY key press, but some of them.
SpareParts is included in many of the ROMs on the site, but im not sure where to get it as a apk.
Spare Parts is also available on market.

Spare Parts gives only an uncustomizable and long vibration while pressing the screen.
What i'm looking for is an app that gives you for example 10ms vibration for press and for release, anytime and anywhere, not in just VK
any clues ?

the only vibration you get from SpareParts is long pressing the screen/buttons. it has no effect on the vibration to the keybaord. the keyboard has the option in its own settings.
this is off topic but you know what would better than tactile screen taps? if you could change the way SOUND screen taps. i have a jailbroken iphone and i use the blackberry storm keyboard sounds on my iphone. its very nice and wish i could have that on my g1 being that it is my #1 phone.
This is an awesome idea. I would like to have this also
Hello.
I asked this already 100x,but I got no answer,so I try again.
Is there a way to disable automatic rotation when sliding the keyboard out?
I hate it.
If I need,I can do it manually(maybe 1% of the time I need landscape) and the rotation is unwanted slowdown.
Can someone modify the sensor driver or show me another way,how to achieve this please?
I'll be soooooo lucky then.
Thanks.
?
How do you use the keyboard if the screen is not in landscape mode ?
I doubt there's a know method, because you're maybe the only person in the word who don't want the landscape mode when using the keyboard..

Mostly I am using keyboard for ICQ for really short messages.
Few words I want to write will take 3 seconds normally, but with rotation it takes 20.
It makes me no problem to write "Hi" when notrotated screen.
If you screen rotation back and forth takes 17 seconds,
then there's something wrong with your ROM...
Anyway, I'll try to make a little app for you, but I don't know if it's going to work...

Please don't solve this. I want to solve just a simple thing - rotation disable.

I have the perfect idea.....if you don't like or use landscape and you don't want the screen to rotate......DONT SLIDE OUT THE KEYBOARD.....lol.....i'm sure you know there is an on screen keyboard to use in portrait mode when you want to text or instant message. Pretty simple.
I do find it very weird that something like that would bother you, besides the fact that the rotation can lag at times. You should have got an Iphone or something without a keyboard.
I couldn't find any way to make Windows stay in portrait mode, BUT... when you're in landscape it will stay in it! I mean, screen won't change to portrait, when keyboard will be closed. So maybe you want to stay in landscape instead? I've written tiny app to change rotation back and forth...
1. I bought TP,because I USE keyboard(One more thing that leads me to upgrade from Himalaya)
2.Thanks,that I know. Maybe the driver has hardcoded the angle to rotate(270dgs) and I want to change this angle to zero(or in a better way to disable it completely),but don't know how.
I want to use portrait instead of landscape, because is much comfortable for me for 90% of time and apps. I can easily switch to ls by pressing a button.
I love my Xperia. I installed the haptic feedback for the touch screen (which really helps alot) but to make my Xperia 100% it would be great if someone could tell me what I need to change in the registry to my make each key on my keyboard vibrate when I press it since the keys dont move much when pressed and therefore I always need to check whether what I pressed shows up.
I know there was a registry entry that could be done for the MDA Vario years back but i cant find that thread anymore.
Someone... please let me know how or a small app would be even better. Thanks everyone!

How you do that? I mean to install haptic feedback on xperia?
if you install "fingerboard 2.0" you get haptic feedback. much better keyboard than the standard one too...
Haptic feedback on our xperias keyboard is quite a good idea i look forward to seeing the outcome of this thread
I don't mean to sound negative, as different people have different requirements...
But, the whole point of haptic feedback with on screen keyboards is to create the illusion of a normal hardware keyboard which by default gives feedback when a key is pressed.
Why someone would want haptic feedback on haptic feedback is beyond me.
Haptic keyboard
What I mean is, when using the physical keyboard (the actual keys not the touch screen keyboard) I would like a small vibration with each key pressed. That is clear enough to understand i think

NO Lolz.
This is not haptic. This is vibrating hardware keyboard. Haptic is when the whole phone vibrates if you press the ON-SCREEN keyboard.

Haptic (wrt phone/pda) is just a word for the response given when something is pressed, regardless of what it is. He's perfectly right calling it a haptic keyboard. "Haptic" is not a word that's limited to describing keyboard/touch/stylus responses on a touchscreen (that said a keyboard is haptic by it's very nature, as the keys click, but it's pretty obvois what he's asking for, and while not to everyone's tastes, not the worst idea I've heard in a long time).
Vibrating keyboard
well, instead of writing back and forth about the name, does anyone have an idea how this can be done, the vibrating of the hardware keyboard when each letter is pressed = haptic feedback? THANKS!

Generally, yes. In the borders of his question, no.
The fact is out X1 keyboards they offer very little feedback from the buttons aka not a big CLICK as such.
And sometimes with people having multiple presses of the key problems etc im sure vibration when typing on keyboard feature can help this
you dudes know about a program that can make a click sound when pressing HW button like fingerkeyboard ? that would also be nice
^^ use built-in software, go to sounds and notifications and check hardware buttons (either select soft or loud) in the sounds tab

omggggggg thx
Does anyone have a tip on how to have the hardware keys vibrate when being pressed? Thanks!
Anyone have any suggestons? Amazing how some people are quick to point out proper terminology and write again and again regarding haptic or not haptic but no one is able to come up with a suggestion to the actual question
like some1 allready stated, "finger keyboard" ?
best touchkeyboard imo anyway

Slide it closed and don't open it.
There you go... disabled.
Now you can go ahead and use the virtual keyboard.
Step 1. Slide closed
Step 2. Wrap in duct tape (so you can't open it)
Problem solved.

Haha that's good.
Problem is when i use the space bar or the g key
it keeps going as though i left it pressed.
Even when i close the keyboard or reboot it still happens
And makes it pretty hard to use the phone since the search
Bar keeps popping up.
My question is, is there any command lines or anything of that type
To disable the physical keyboard?
*bump *
Anyone?
Disconnect the keyboard's ribbon cable.
There, no physical keyboard.

My device is rooted and im able to do operations that needs su permissions
I really searched but didnt find anything.
