Weird Problem

Guyz..i have a very weird Problem..I just got my New Hima.when i got it it had WM 2003..then i checked everything..especially Sound all was fine..then i started Partioning but it didnt happen so i flashed anyway to Wm 6.1 by shekhar..there the problem arose..
the device became slow like hell..then i flashed to mine Wm 6.1 and it was the same result..
then i tried to flash 3 Wm 5 ..one by Helmi..one by shekhar and one by llbasha..same result
BUT the MOMENT i switched back to WM 2003 every thing was fine..even the sound..i used Hima DOC restore to have 14MB back and now every thing is set..but i cant flash Wm 6 , 5 or 6.1

What do you mean without camera?? I didn't think they ever made a PH10B device without camera unless it was created for corporate environment, in which case I imagine other hardware is different. Perhaps you can post a picture, front and back of the device.

i cant believe it, there is a himalaya without camera? cant seem to remember if ever there was one. maybe that is a modified himalaya, a test kit, one of the first, beta unit. can you post pictures of the back?

It is a ghost of PH10A sitting inside PH10B.
Oweida has especially arranged this device for you so that you can enjoy two devices at a time...

Ather, your Himalaya is the original hardware model. The main difference, if not only difference, was the touchscreen hardware. Did you notice if it was a very dark screen on original phone?
This information definately changes thnigs. Your problem will likely have to do with the touchscreen.
Further, what is your bootloader number? V1.03 or V.104

how to flash new ROM
1. Your device has to be spl unlock. You can get the program here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=483465
***follow the instructions....to spl your device
2. To flash a new ROM you need .nbh file and CustomRUU for Jade. You can get it here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=441865. Put the nbh file in the same directory after you unzip it.
Remember to do step 1 and 2 YOU HAVE TO sync your PPC with your computer!
And, remember to say a thank you note or donate to the developers that brought us these nice tools and ROMs.

Hi, I am interestedin trying the lean cut version (with NO Manila and NO Messenger). But, please, what your opinion about this version, regarding speed and battery life??
Is possible to disable the new WM 6.5 today screen?

WM 6.5 shows alot of promise, but I've had to remove this build from my phone - its too buggy. It was too unreliable during calls and would drop them or crash during almost every call I made/recievied. It was generally OK when not calling, email, internet and SMS where OK.

Pls stick to 6.1 since 6.5 is still in development stage and people manipulate it.. so if u want a stable one just go for 6.1..

Agree.. since its just a beta build..

There seems to be two "phone dialers" in this ROM which might be why I had problems during phone calls. I noticed that when the calls droped a different phone UI was displayed to the stock jade phone UI. WHen phone calls were OK and worked it was the stock jade phone UI that was displayed. Sometimes I'd asnswer a call with the stock jade UI and it'd drop, I'd look at the phone and the new UI would be on display. Is it possible that theres a clash of dialer software? I'm a complete noob so probably way off!

I'have never seen this software But your screenshots are giving me a good clue on the Chinese menus. In the mean time, as I am checking your screens with my mobile, somethings are shown differently here. I will try to do some screenshots and send you back.

Those screenshots look irregular on my mobile as you see, I don't know why but you can see the difference with your screenshots. Maybe because of the language, from Cn to En. Anyhow, have a look pls.
I managed to find most of the programs of your ROM in En but you have to change some DLL because some programs like Efficasoft CeleTask are still in Cn even though I downloaded and installed En versions. Perhaps it takes some predefined values from the chinese dll or exe somewhere in \Windows.

maybe the issue is in the MUI files that come with the dll?
i have solved celetask and resco explorer installing my own cabs, and now they are in english (but they are A DUPLICATED SOFTWARES, not the same with english traslations, so i have to replace the links in start menu)
i see the issues on the advanced settings and menu or dpad selectors, but never find a cab for them, so i keep it as come ^^
some of those features are in the 6.5 rom for vox and excalibur (s710 and s630), maybe in that sections there are someone could help us?

Well, as I mentioned in the other discussion, I have a Vox with WM 6.5 from FireBurned. Just tell me how to implement those files in ccwav ROM because simply copy+paste doesn't work. It says it can't replace ROM files (whatevere is inside \Windows).

dear ccwav, today opera has released beta 3 of opera mobile (NOT mini) and it has support for the non-touch winmobiles (no need of fake cursors^^)
if you are planning a new build for the wings, try this cool app

I could suggest also RSS HUB, is a "must" for our mobiles In the mean time I am going to test latest Opera. I was using the previous version with fake cursor and it seems cool.

also the " Skyfire " (tested on my s730) works perfect

Skyfire sometimes shuts down unexpectedly on my S730. Otherwise, is a great browser. I prefer it over latest Opera. I like the start page

Even for me, the English Version works quite OK. I don't have any hang ups or what so ever. Except after one reboot, I didn't have WiFi at all. I had to reboot again to view my WiFi under Connection Manager.
One bug I see now, perhaps it existed earlier as well, on my second keyboard I can't use Caps Lock or Fn option. The two small led look inactive. Is anyone else experiencing this?

It`s means Only rom size is 256MB can use this Rom.

i just installed the test and it is lightning fast compared to alcalines rom.

Sometimes Wifi can't work.It`s seems the wifi driver bug in wm6.5 and I had try to fix it but fail.

Since our machine has super limited ram, its kind of PITA to have modern apps running in our device like EzInput, TaskManager, etc which require to running in background as service which consume RAM. Just keep in mind, this machine is still not power enough for us to have full windows mobile experience (Kaiser use same processor but it runs better with more ROM & RAM). Thats why HTC only limit it to run SnapVue because they limit the RAM & functionality on WM side.
We need to close other running apps to run another apps to free up ram.

Very good ROM, almost perfect, much faster than wm6.1 and wm6.5, very stable, no problems at all yet. Well, one problem I have, where do I find Internet Sharing? I have installed XP in vista side so I cannot use HTC Control Center and can't get 3G internet connection without Internet Sharing in wm-side. With USB Tool I have connection to wm but no Internet connection? Is there only shortcut missing to Internet Sharing and if so, which file in windows directory is internet sharing?

How to Change start up tone?

I have file "BootupHTC.Wav" in Windows folder.
I want change it to Windows XP startup.

That's so funny because I actually use the Windows XP startup for my phone and the BootupHTC wav for my S2U2 unlock sound . I use the program JWMD IconChanger 2.9b. It also gives the option to change the animated and non animated boot up pictures to. Press the thanks button if this post helps .

Haha I forgot my BootupHTC is different, it's actually the Windows 7 startup sound renamed, I found in a XDA thread along time ago. I forgot JWD is for 6.5, Why not just flash your phone to 6.5.3 it is better than 6.1 anyway . Maybe you can use the tool "Total Commander". Rename the XP startup sound to "Bootuphtc" and then use total commander to place it in the windows directory using the move file function( Just a thought).

I think 6.5 have some error but cant fix

What error? I've been using 6.5.3 roms for the past year and 7 month's now with no problems and " Will never go back to ****ty 6.1 ever", If it wasn't for 6.5.3 I would not be using the X1i right now it would of got sent back in the mail, that's how bad 6.1 was for me. It's a simple as this if you want stay with 6.1 that's fine but you will never get a solution to your problem if you flash your phone to 6.5.3 then you will get a solution to your problem and alot more. I can do the same exact things on 6.5.3 that I could on 6.1 and whole lot more .

So.. Can you send me your rom and how to do it

I have heard good things about x826 Rom series( People say it's the best Sense 2.5 rom series) but I'm not a Sense 2.5 fan. I have used many Sense 2.5 roms and came to the conclusion that it's not worth the frustration( Freezing and etc.....), my phone memory, and my ram. I use SPB 3.5.5 with hardware acceleration and like it way better than Sense 2.5 and have never had problem with it yet . Test it out and let me know what you think about it.

I'm glad everything went smoothly involving upgrading, . This what I meant about Sense 2.5 in my previous post it's not worth my internal memory and my ram. You think 63 mb is bad for ram give it a 30 min to an hour it's going to drop even lower due to WM Ram leak issues.

Like I said I never have used 826x before and I don't like Sense 2.5(I uses SPB 3.5.5 Hardware Accelerated) so my answer is not going to be biased . Also about my pic I a use alot of different programs that affect my internal memory and ram so my stats won't reflect what yours will look like in this rom, you would most likely have higher numbers than me .

interesting, that isn't so much better than an (optimized) sense 2.5-rom... always thought it'd be more. (4 days since last reboot and heavy use)

Well your Sense 2.5 rom is different than the rest since it's combined with 2 different ones. Also before I installed anything after I flashed my phone I had about 120-122mb free of ram which is big difference, when I used Sense 2.5 roms Touch it, Energy ,MaxSense, and etc...... I would start off with like 75 mb and then it would drop from there. Also I'm using optxperiabeta02 because the "Microsoft Sound boost" app doesn't work with this rom( it's actually made my sound stop working but luckily I fixed it). Optxperiabeta02 uses my ram so my free ram would be 95-98 mb instead of the 86 mb shown in my pic. You are lucky or your rom is really that good, I have never been able to accomplish 4 days no reboot or freezes with any Sense 2.5 rom I have used lol.

with 826x,i have only 80mb free space of ram.and when i used shmessenger (free chat on yahoo) it freezed shmessenger sometime about 10s. but it's very low weight. so i think a reason is processor.i use WiMoSpeed and up sucess to 614,4 But it isnt a solution. Do you know?
New Q: How to up CPu Speed to 710mhz (like sign of Viper89) :-/
My X1 work good at 614mhz. if higher = freeze

It really depends on the rom what determines how high you can push it, I have stopped using 710mhz because it's unstable I use 652mhz now. That's weird you can't push it past 614 mhz, it's probably because of the rom or sense or both.
