So my internet went down last night. So I wanted to tether but for some reason my PC on windows 7 didn't work - connected but no internet connection while my MacBook pro connected with no problems.
Any ideas?

Wii doesn't support Ad-Hoc
The closest people have gotten as far as I know is
IS to a Router that rebroadcasts.
But I am not sure anyone has gotten it working 100 percent.
I gave up on getting mine to hook up.
Anyone successfully tether their N1 to an Xbox360?
My Xbox does not have wifi else it would easier.
I tried USB tether but the Xbox did not want to see it but I may have missed something.
No normal internet at my house either as I use the N1. The laptop connects to it fine.
What you do is teather to your laptop, then teather that to your xbox via ethernet cable and then in network connections, bridge the ethernet adapter to your teathered phone connection. So essentially it will go like this. Internet -> phone -> laptop -> xbox!

Ahhhhhhh, I did not think of that.
Thanks, I'll give it a try.
3g isn't fast enough to load all your games properly I don't think so why bother?

I normally get about 100kb per sec download rates with the computer with it spiking up to 500 from time to time.
I think it will do it.
Has anybody been able to connect to Internet through USB tethering apps such as EasyTether (Paid version) or PdaNet?
If yes, is your phone rooted? are you getting LTE speeds?
Thanks

Not to sure about usb tether. Wifi tether is working fine on d3rp rom with generic jb/ics wan 0 selected. And yes with 4 g
I've been successfully using Foxfi on my One with bluetooth tethering to both my tablet and my laptop. I assume USB tethering would work too but haven't tried it. You need PDAnet Tablet on an Android tablet, or their Windows client on the laptop, to make it work. I had a connection problem with my laptop that was fixed with a reboot (as advised by PDAnet tech support, who were very responsive).
My phone is NOT rooted.

hi all,
I don't seem to be able to copy anything from my HTC One via the USB cable..
When I connect the device 'usb debugging' is enabled on the phone, and the device shows up in Windows Explorer. If I browse the folder structure, it will hang.
If I connect the phone, wait until 'usb debugging' is enabled, and disable it, the phone reconnects, and I can browse with more success, and even copy a few files, but anything more than a few and it hangs again.
I've tried doing both of these with the HTC Sync app, and guess what.. it hangs. This is the same on two different Windows 8 PCs, with the original HTC cable.
Is there a known working driver or anything that I should be aware of?
Thanks, as always, in advance.

Some people have had issues on Windows 8, but not me. Install the latest "HTC Sync Manager". I think the version is something like 2.0.61.
Yeah I tried that. It managed to connect and start syncing, but then hung. Think I'll try the wife's Windows 7 laptop, maybe it doesn't like Windows 8.

It's fine for me. Stay away from USB3 ports.
Its not usb3 either, as my laptop doesn't have any USB3 ports :/

No problems on my laptop (win 7 x64) via usb 2,
Also working with desktop pc , same os and via usb 3.
Would suspect your problem caused by HTC driver

Seems like a Windows 8 issue. Works flawlessly on my wife's Windows 7 laptop...

Hello everyone,
So I used to have a evo 4g and a windows vista PC. I remember stream music from my phone to my PC speakers without touching the PC( except after setup). I've tried doing this with my win 8.1 desktop and win 8 laptop and my one. I can't get it to work and Google has been no help.
Has anyone gotten this to work? Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
