maxomus , thank you for reply , what i mean is :
i want to partition the SD card so i can save the Apps in the
SD card .
how can i ?
Not sure if I follow you, are talking about apps2sd or having them backed up on your sd?
Sent from my phone.
as you know , if i want to save the apps in the SD card , the SD card sould be
partitioned then the ROM can save the apps in the SD card .
the SD card now is FAT32 but the partition should be in lunix format .
u can do it from recovery
You just need to create an ext3 or ext4, you can do that through recovery on your phone or something like gparted on a desktop.

Hi
I partition my SD card in nAa-11 recovery (256 SWAP and 768 EXT, 7 GB free), and now I can't restore it to his original condition - 8GB. Windows didn't see 8GB, just 7GB and I can format it, but it always shows 7GB as the total available space.
Any ideas, guys? I have to remount dis partitions in terminal emulator, or what?
You need to use a Partition Tool that supports Linux partitions, like GParted.
EDIT: A more easy way is repartitioning your SD from Recovery, setting SWAP and EXT to 0.
Use SDFormatter V3.1 and make sure you select format size adjustment ON option. A quick format should be ok.

try to mount your sdcard to your computer using a card reader, then re-format with GParted (if you're using Linux) or Mini Tool Partition Wizard (if you're using Windows)
Not sure if this is the right place to ask this question, but:
I partitioned my memory card into 2 so I could install apps to sd card using Link2sd. The first partition where all the data was being saved got corrupted and had to be formated. In the process I have lost all the data that came on it originally. I have tried using the Android File Recovery, it does recovers all the files, but the directory structure is lost.
Is there any way I could get the data back that was there originally?
The partitions on card are in Fat32 format.

Calm down.
I think there is a disturbing file on SD card, thats maybe a virus from your computer.
check one by one the folder in your SD Card. There will be file thats make your SD card memory descrease.
If there is no file that make SD Card memory descrease
try mount you SD card using Card Reader to connect into PC
check in your computer space left of your SD card.
I think the problem is in the SD card it self, because rooting and unrooting cant be descrease the memory value of SD Card.
is the SD card still 11GB on your computer, then Backup all file on the SD Card, then try to format your SD card on your computer. after that you can move your backup file to SD card again.
and mount into phone again
correct me if I wrong.
hope this can be help you

I partitoned my 8gb sd card with mini partition tool
6.xx...gb as primary fat32 and 800mb as ext4 primary
now after using it for some time..now i wanted to do a fresh repartitioning
so i formatted the sd card using cwm recovery...
Now I inserted my sd card into the laptop sd card slot..(using adpater)
Now the mini partition tool only recognizes 6.5GB as primary fat32 but its not showing any 800 MB ext4 partition
So wat do i do to get my the whole 7.xx GB memory back??

it is partitioned correctly with primary as fat 32 6gb and a second logical partition of 512mb running ext2/3/4 all ofthem will not allow the rom to mount the sd card anyideas?
ok found the issuen i think it is detecting the ext3 partition as the main one and trys to loads this up first bu can as its ext not a fat32

Go here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1117100 . You can partition your card directly from within the program. Your card will be wiped, so backup your data. Also, better to have your antivirus program disabled.
Or you can install the nobodyAtall CWM 3.2.0.0r3 or the nobodyAtall CWM 3.2.0.0r4 from that program as well, there's an option in the Advanced menu for partitioning.
CWM 4.0.1.5 and XRecovery don't have options for partitioning.

have tried that but none of the options will work on my device
well finally got the dam x8toolbox to detect my phone and partiton the sd card ait was working fine till i took sd card out to add files back on to it and back to square one the phone wont mount the sd card as it detect the sd-ext partition first and tried and fails to mount that as storage
Without digging deeper into it, maybe you could just not take the card out and just use the USB to transfer the files.
What OS are you running on your computer?
Maybe u are using Linux swap that's why it is unmounting the SD card. & both partitions must be primary (not logical)(ext2/3/4)

Make the ext partition as PRIMARY, not as LOGICAL partition (as suggested in the previous post) This the problem source. (The logical partitions have different partition numbers)

okay i think i did somthing wrong really, when i inserted it on my phone, it located the big part which is the fat 32 as internal memory, and then the small part which i set as ext2 became the sd card. now minitool partition wizard can detect it again.. im gonna try to fix it
Delete both the FAT32 & SD ext partition using mini partition tool. Then right click on your SD card & select create & then FAT32. Now select the full disc size ( by either moving the slider or by typing in the partition size to be created manually ) . Now select apply. Unplug SD card & replug. You card must be detected by the computer. Put it back into your phone, reboot to recovery. Then, advanced ---> partition SD card. Select your desired SD ext size, I recommend 512 MB ( more than enough to store apps ) & swap size zero ( swap kills SD card ) . Wait till the process completes, do not press anything. Once done, reboot. Your sd card is on the verge of dying away now. So don't use partitioning tools any further else they'll kill your SD card like they killed mine. Recovery is always your friend.
