[Q] Flashing Kernel fixes WPA2 issues? - Nexus One Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So i was reading some forums and found that someone fixed the WPA2 Enterprise issue by flashing P3droids kernel. Is there any truth to that statement? Has anyone one else found a way for froyo to connect to WPA2 Enterprise?

[Q][MIUI] GPS Fix!

Well the topic says it all.
Having trouble getting a fix for gps.
Used all the apps. Changed the NTP server. I even changed the SUPL server and the port and still no fix.
Using Latest GB MIUI whit latest Etana kernel v2.
I saw at the miui forum that other ppl have something similar but still get a fix.
Me none at all.
So is there a way to fix this?
Best regards.
P.s. - Sorry if my spelling is bad or that you didnt understant my question.

Issues with hidden sid wifi

Although I've added an hidden sid network, the tab cannot connect to it. I have to unhide the sid to make it connect... is there a workaround for this?
I don't have this problem with HTC Sensation, it can connect and it can also detect hidden sids with some wifi apps, my tab nor does connect, nor does detect with the same app...

Which ROM? Which kernel? Is it Honeycomb or an IceCreamSandwich ROM? Someone out there might help you with more details.
I haven't had those issues and my SSID is hidden, although I am using the AOKP ROM. I remember the stock 3.1 firmware having some Wi-Fi SSID issues, but they were kinda rare.

[Q] ICS - Someone got AdHoc working? Driver revert, Is it possible?

Hi folks.
Do you guys know if there is a way to make possible use of AdHoc wifi Networks on any ICS Rom?
Actually i was using Kingdroid and I was very satisfied.
But, AdHoc Enalber doens't seems to work on any ICS rooms actually.
Also if it is not possible via apps or something like this, would it be possible to revert the driver only? I guess any driver from GB could work.
Thanks anyway
Best regards,
Marcus.

ICS Stunner and vpn (xauth psk)

Anyone tested the new version 1.6.26 to use a Xauth PSK VPN?
I can connect to my Palo Alto using xauth psk..but then no packets get routed. With my Asus Transformer stock rom it works fine, so it is not a issue of the Palo Alto Firewall.
Just let me know if it is working for you...so i know i got the problem or it's a problem of the ics stunner rom.

Wi-Fi not working on CM11 Nightly.

Hi,
I installed today a CM11 from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/optimus-4x-hd/general , and I have an issue concerning Wi-fi connection. Basically I can put password in, but wi-fi shows it is saved and secured with wep and there is no connection at all. It is strange for me because on Paranoid Android for P880 wifi works just fine. Anyone has any tips?
Welcome to the forum and thanks for your report.
First of all, could you please let us know if you're using the Official (maintained by Demetris) or the Unofficial(maintained by laufersteppenwolf) CM11? The link that you provide does not lead to a thread.
Also reporting such problems would be best to be posted on the specific threads of the ROM, accompanied by some kind of log.
I had a similar problem earlier this year when I was switching between a lot of ROMs.
Do you have your WiFi set up to block any device with an unregistered MAC-address?
If so, check if the MAC-address on your phone changed after flashing the new ROM.
For some reason official and unofficial sources can have different addresses.
