Btw did you updated to the last kernel?

Thank you for helping me out.
I have updated to the latest kernel. I am using TOPA210

Can anyone please help me. I have tried everything I can think of, but no luck. I see that some people get sound.
Please help me....thank you

I have the same problem and im using the same device hTC Pure from at&t ...

TOPA200···isound work great!!

I also have topa 210 (Pure). I have found a way to ge a ringtone, but you would have to do the procedure after reboot. Also i have not found a way to get notifications or alarms yet. Hope I don't have to
1. boot into Andoroid
2. Open media scanner (You should be able to play music from your sdcard now!)
3. Using Astro file manager, navigate to sdcard/media/audio/ringtones
4. Select a ringtone you want to use (you can play it first).
5. Hold the File down until menu comes up
6. Select music options
7. Select set as ringtone
8. Enjoy!
If you look to see if your ringtones are selectable, they wil NOT be there. It will still say Silent, but the ringtone will still work. Try it out.
This is for Astro, but it may work with other programs

Can not set ringtone

Hi,
Big problem :-(
I can not set any small mp3 as a ringtone. I have done hard reset and it did not help. Phone is clean and every time I try to set file as an mp3 I got msg:
I was not possible to copy file to My Doc/My souds.. (even when file is there!)Make sure you have enough free memory, etc...
What should I do - I had those file as ringtones while back with no porblem. I am running original software and currently nothing else :-(
Should is change ROM? I am no expert with this so I do not even how and to which one :-(

Copy the files into the "My Documents" folder in your SD card. If there isn't one, make one. Then select the ringtone in your sounds and notifications menu.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
You're welcome, glad we could help.

How to fix non looping Ringtone?

Anyone know how to make ring tones loop?
I say this as I am using the Incubus froyo build and when I set it to the Digital Ring (not a custom ring tone) , it only tones once.
This, as you can imagine is quite annoying, anyone know why or how to fix this? Others must be dealing with this problem.
This was talked about before but I'll have to look for it, from what I remember you need to open it in an audio editor and there's some kind of "loop" tag that is set to false on Digital Ringtone. I'll see if I can find the post (unless somebody beats be to it)
EDIT: Here's the post
and HERE is an archive with all the files already looped
Use Bell phone its close. Sorry I don't have a better solution.

Thanks for the link. I remember this being an issue in the past (I have used Android since the beginning). I remember putting the media folder on the SD card and the phone detected automatically.
This is not the case however with my version of froyo. I put the media folder on the SD card with all the audio and the phone isn't detecting the additional ringtones. Is there anything else I need to do?

Download 7zip (google it) and you can open .tar/.tgz files with it.
Download the build you'd like to use and open with 7zip.
Replace the media folder with the new one.
Flash the new androidinstall.
Or here's an androidupdate with the new media. (Haven't tested though)

[Q] Move ringtones to internal memory

Hello, I would like to move my ringtones to the internal memory because I've noticed that since I started using Swap, It delays the ringtone from starting. This is what I observed, Randomly the ringtone starts after 2 or 3 vibrates, other times its not at all and uses the stock beeping ringtone (I guess since the SD is being used, it cant go in it and get the ringtone) So bottom line, My ringtones take a few seconds to ring after a few vibrates. I already know that I have to convert them to .ogg, but does anyone know another way to make the system pull up the ringtone faster?
I would like to know that myself. Im sick of having my default ringtone going when i selected a custom one for one of my contacts. whats the best settings for the ogg files too as this may be helpful to us both

Alright... So you wanna do this, here is what you will need:
*ADB Installed and working
*Root Manager of some sort
*Format Factory -This is freeware, so it's not warez.
1st, Download and install Format Factory. This is the program I use for everything. If you have one of your own preference, it can be substituded.
**Do a custom install, as this will try to install adbars otherwise. (You have been warned.)
2nd, Open Format Factory and click "All to OGG".
3rd, Select your ringtones and click "ok". On the next screen, click "Start"
4th, Open your Root Explorer program, I use Android Commander
5th, With your Root Explorer program, navigate to your newly created OGG files (normally found in Documents/FFOutput on your PC) in the Root Explorer.
6th, Move these files to /system/media/*** on your phone. And you are done.
Please note: ""***" represents the respective folders. i.e. "ringtones", "notifications", etc.
Hope this helped you. Click "thanks" if it did. - Any questions, ask.
EDIT: DO NOT change the OGG settings in Format Factory. They work fine at default. Once you get used to, and comfortable with doing this, then play with the settings to get your desired file size and quality.
I tried doing what you said, but although I successfully managed to push the files, they still don't appear in the ringtone/notifications menu

did you make sure the phone looked for new media, or restart ya phone? i had to do it with mine
I was going to say that I had checked the phone after restart and they still weren't showing up - but I double checked again and now they are. Thanks! I'm not sure how to check for new media, though - is there a procedure for this?
Been trying this using ES File Explorer but keeping getting a message that paste failed. Any ideas where i'm going wrong.
I have S-Off and root
you can try this, it a little easier if you have the tools but yoo have to reflash the rom so be sure to backup your apps, contacts blah blah blah...
1. unzip the 'rom.zip' file, open the folder and look for the system/media/audio folder
2. now you can add & remove ringtones, notifications, alarm sounds that you want or dont want...
3. zip the rom file back up
4. sign it with an auto sign program... (very simple to use)
5. flash rom and enjoy your customizations
6. restore your backed up contacts and apps...
(you can also remove some unwanted stock apps to save space, be sure not too remove system required apps though lol)
Cheers Idrifta, ended up getting it to work using Root Explorer.
o nice!!! haha good to know... better than my method lol
The following worked for me.. Check this
I followed a link and it worked for me on jfltetmo running on cm11-m9 and having twrp v2.8.4.0. I explained the steps in my answer here: How to install a ringtone into internal memory?. All the credit for the steps go to villo-2.

[Q] In-call volume

Hello, I hope someone can help me.
The scenario is the following:
I've got a optimus black (Obviusly) flashed with the lastest cyanogenmod (cm-10.1-20130221). The problem is the in-call volume, it's as low I can't hear anything if I'm in the street so, I searched posts related with this issue, I found and tried:
-Volume+ --> It was the only which worked but, unfortunately the earphone boost is very slight, so it isn't enough.
-Increasing the volume steps --> This does nothing for my purposes, no earphone boost.
-AudioHack 2.1 --> This neither worked.
So, after I've tried this "methods", I saw in other models (I don't now if in mine is possible) a way in which you modify a file to gain more volume. This is the post I'm refering to:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1722136
Is this possible in optimus black?
Thanks in advance.

I've done all that you say in your post, I think I'm doing something wrong because when I reboot my phone it doesn't goes further the lg logo. I'm going to explain you how I'm doing your steps.
Scenario: cm-10.1-20130221 with google apps (Last version)
-I use the default file explorer which comes with cyanogenmod (In root mode)
-Then I go to /system/
-After that, I open the file with the default text editor which comes by default with cyanogenmod and at the bottom of the file I write "ro.config.vc_call_vol_steps=5", and then I save the file
-Finally I open the properties of the file with file explorer and I set rw-rw-rw
am I right? If not, say me the way you do this or the step(s) I'm doing wrong.
Thanks a lot
In CM you don't have to do that. In CM, the calls are good

Yes, I realised of that yesterday. I was doing some test aaand after seeing the thread of your response, I'm giving a try to IZS. It manages very very well the resources of the phone, cool theme and so on...The only that worries me now is the manage of the battery but anyway thanks for all .
