is there any way to save new contact directly to sim not phone? right now, it only allows me to save to phone only...then, i have to copy it to sim and delete phone contact.
is there any way for me to just enter my contact name when i send sms instead of going into my contact list(showing sim contact only) and select them. i mean when i type them in, it doesn't work. it says "invalid contact".
for example, i have a contact name "John1" on my contact list but when i type "John1", it doesn't work, when i select "John1" from contact list, it works.
thx in advance.
I don't think there is...

Hi all,
I bought the Touch Diamond2, and have noticed this really annoying problem.
I have a list of contacts (that their names were modified in Outlook 2007, and then transferred to my phone), that whenever they call I can see their number but not the name associated to them (above the number it displays: "(unknown number)"). If I choose to add the number to their name (which is already there - it just asks me to update it), then their name appears if they call. After I add it, it seems like the same exact number - no change at all.
Another thing is, if I enter a number manually that is already stored in my contacts, it doesn't show the name of this contact. If I select the number from my contact page, it does show the name and picture as it should.
Am I the only one experiencing this? Is there a setting in the device i'm missing?
Please help,
Thanks
Hello!
I also have the same problem, because of the indicative of the country, already send an email for the HTC, to try to decide the problem. I am waiting a reply of them.

Hi
I'm trying to add a mail address from a received mail to an "old" contact; when I tap on the address i can choose between "Send email" or "Save in contacts", but the save options let me just save it as a NEW contact.
Same thing happens when I try to add a number from an SMS to an old contact...
Is this a bug? Is there a fix?
Thanks!!!!
Does it work if you turn off TF3D?
Hi!
Annoys me as well, I guess that this is one of the great features that the designers over at HTC came up with.
Actually you can do it for SMSs from "unknown" numbers, by tapping the SMS (from a unsigned number) in the TouchFlo SMS tab you will get a contact page for that phone number. If you then slide the tab selector left to the contact card icon, you can hit save at the right soft button. Then the contacts list will open and you can choose an existing contact to add the number to, and even choose what kind of number this is (work, office, private, etc)
The problem is that if you hit an email from the TouchFlo email tab the regular winmo messages application is launched instead of the TouchFlo messages application used for SMS.
The ideal situation would be that emails where handled in the same way as SMSs

Hi guys,
I can't save contacts, when i typing numbers on dailpad which is not match on my existing contacts while there was a button appear like "Save To Contact?" where i press and then it ask to save new or save in existing contacts. if i choose new contact usually a screen appear and ask contact details, after entering detail then i press save. the screen disappears, after that i check out on contacts that was not saved. in case i choose existing contact option, the already saved contacts also disappeared.

Hello:
When I'm editing details of contact at the phone book I see that the person have a connection with whatsapp and I can see the nickname that I saved him at the beginning, and now I want to change this nickname - how do I do it?
from the phone book it not editable, from the whatsapp there is no access to this information.
what is the way?
Thank you,
You have to rename the contact in your phonebook. There actual name that linked with the normal phone number. Then refresh whatsapp

i did "Separate" at the phone book and it's disappear and i cant "join" them together.
i changed the name of the contact in my phone book and then there was 2 contacts with the same number and different names so i "join" them together.
how do i refresh the whatsapp?
In the whatsapp contact list hit the option button next to your home buttom and a refresh option should be one of the options, refresh contact list.
I understand you and i tried this and it didn't succeed (the old nickname still stay at the phonebook) so i uninstalled whatsapp and than install it again.
Thank you anyway
That's weird, I'm sorry I couldn't help. You did mean contacts nickname not your nickname on whatsapp right?
I mean when i'm editing contact at the phone book it's shows that he connected to a contact from whatsapp (same contact and jt' right and good) but the name of the contact that the phone book shows from the whatsapp is the first name that i typed when i saved the contact at the phone book.
Thank you
When using the microphone in android auto to call a contact using voice (assistant), I want to verify that the right contact was recognized. As for now, it dials immediately and sometimes I am not sure the right contact was chosen (especially if the language is not English).
Is there a setting for this - so google assistance will ask if the contact is correct?
BTW:
if a contact has a line and a mobile number attached to it, it asks "call line or mobile". In this case I can verify if it is the right contact. But this is only a workaround and I am not going to insert a dummy line number for every contact I have
Thanks in advance.
