***Please Help!!*** $40US Cash Reward!!

Ok this is my second attempt to get an answer for the issues I'm experiencing.
Hopefully someone out there knows whats up and can give me a real solution.
I will pay the person $40US via PayPal if you can help me solve the issues listed below.
Here we go...
I can flash any rom or kernal successfully, however once booted I can not restore TIBU or install anything from market. When I click ok on download at market is does nothing, just allows me to repeatedly click on download icon. But never begins download. The second issue is if I try to restore backups using TIBU, they never install, just sit there as if they are installing, but never do. Also if I try to install any apps sitting on my ext-sd, they do the same as TIBU, just sit there showing they are installing, but never do.
Having said all that! If I flash to stock JF6, everything works fine, no issues whatsoever.
Now I have repeated this process at least a dozen times with no changes. I have flashed just about every custom rom with the exact same results. But again, flashing back to stock, zero issues.
Please do not suggest I run market fix, as this does not explain my other issues with TIBU or installing apps from ext-sd.
Others have suggested using android id changer after I have installed custom rom, the issue there is I can never install it from market after I have flashed custom rom because of the above issues.
Please help, this is driving me crazy and thanks in advance to those that know what's going on and can direct me to a solution.
NOTE: Yes I do a Master Clear & Clean Dalvik cache after every flash !! After flashing to stock, I can root and modify settings file under dbdata to allow third party apps with no issues. All issues are directly related to custom roms only!
Up for a Cash Reward
Maybe an obvious question: Have you tried clearing the data and cache for the market.
Settings
Applications
Market
Clear data
Clear cache
I had a similar problem (apps would download and fail to install no matter how many times I downloaded) I also only had my problem with custom ROMs.

Obligatory flame about not reading the post.
Please try the below steps as they are so it would be easy to debug.
1. Backup ur data from internal SD to PC
2. Use one click to come to stock (don't root or install any stuff here, except enabling USB debugging)
3. Connect to computer, and mount drives
4. Quick format the internal SD on windows (if u r on windows; telling this cos I use windows)
5. Copy the ROM in my signature (dilligaf's 7.x) onto ur SD card
6. Reboot into recovery and install the ROM (do not use TiBu or do anything else at this point)
7. Go to settings and add ur market linked gmail account
Try connecting to market now n see if that works.

Uninstalled an app, now get 'insufficient storage available' when i try to re-install

I installed FPSE, and then uninstalled it after having problems, but now I cannot install either the version I downloaded, or the version from the store. Both tell me I have insufficient storage space available, even though I have well over a gig free.
Also I am able to install other things.
Any ideas?
I am using Gingerbread 2.3.6, rooted..
Just redid the procedure with Odin to root, just in case that might clear something, but no...

Use some Root Browser to check your system folder to see if you have available storage space. Sometime the old files are not deleted and they fill up the storage space. If this is the case you need to format the system folder before you can install anything.
I had the same problem too, after I uninstalled N.O.V.A. 3 and can't install it back. But other apps has no problem of installing.
SD maid from Playstore might help here^_^.
Contrary to the name, it clears cache and left over data and logs from the phone internal and external memory.

If you have another Android device, you can force the app back on your phone.
1) Install app on other device
2) Make Titanium Backup of app on other device and send it to your phone
3) Open Titanium Backup on phone and go into preferences; change restore location to external storage
4) Restore app backup from other device
5) After restoring app, go into Settings -> Applications and move the app from SD to phone
6) Now app is installed on phone just as if you installed it normally and you can change your Titanium Backup restore location back to default

Try to clear cache and data from the store.
Easy, uninstall the app first, then go /data, search the app name, like "titanium" or the package name, sth like com.xxxxxx.xxx, should have that name.odex or any other, delete it, but make sure its correct name of coz, after u deleted the file in /data, u can install it again
But yea, like the above user say, it usually appear in crack app, if so, do the purchase mate

You must have some leftover file for previous installation, serch and delete of that will allow to install again.
I had this problem the other day trying to install apps with titanium backup and the play store, both were getting this error. I fixed it the same way by going into the data/app folder and deleteing the .odex files in there. I had two in my folder, one was 'com.kermidas.TitaniumBackup-1.odex' and i cant remember what the other one was. I think when an app is uninstalled or modified, it sometimes leaves a .odex residue file which causes the error.
Here is a simple SOLUTION :-
Install lucky patcher now press the menu key
Choose troubleshooting now click on removes fixes and backup now u can install the application

Q&A for CM10 roms on the Samsung Galaxy Exhibit 4g (n00b friendly)

OK so I know how crowded some of the forums have gotten, so I made this, for every question asked here I will update the op and next three posts with all the questions and answers. Basically I am trying to get ring of having to search hundreds of pages for an answer. So please be kind here.
Always remember to do a search of a question before you ask on xda. Not saying you need to search every single page of a forum, but don't ask a question that was answered 5 pages ago.

Request for Help: CWM Clarifications for CM10 Install Prep
(UPDATE 11/29/12 8:55PM: Updated to include a complete installation list based on the advice I received from this and other threads, which worked flawlessly. This process assumes an upgrade from a stock ROM. I don't know if there are any differences moving from another custom ROM. Note that these instructions use CWM. Some developers prefer the newer option of twrp instead of CWM, found here.)
Thanks for opening up this CM10-specific, newbie-friendly thread, tazmaniondvl! I've been lurking through the CM10 thread for the past few weeks and have finally decided to take the plunge and install it. Since I've been unable to find a tutorial that meshes cleanly with the Exhibit-based CWM 6.0.1.2 package (found here), I compiled the below list of steps.
Thanks to all the developers taking the time to build these Exhibit packages, and helping us enjoy our phones even more!
Prerequisites:
Device is already rooted
Battery is charged.
There is sufficient(?) room on the SD card and internal memory.
The thread found here has the latest CM and gApps downloads.
Installation:
Download and install the Exhibit-based CWM 6 package. Verify CWM recovery is working.
Download and place the latest Exhibit-based CM10 and Exhibit-based gApps packages onto the External/Internal SD card.
Backup all user applications and data (contacts, call logs, messages) to the external SD using Titanium/Go Backup.
Make a list of all user applications you critically need at restart (backup/restore programs, preferred browser, basic utilities), to ease the reinstallation process.
Reboot to Recovery.
Select Backup from CWM menu to create a ROM backup.
Under the Wipe menu of CWM, choose to wipe the ROM.
Under the Wipe menu of CWM, choose to wipe the cache.
Under the Wipe menu of CWM, choose to wipe the cache/dalvik.
Install the CM10 ROM.
Install the gApps package.
Select "Fix Permissions" under the CWM Advanced menu.
Reboot, and enjoy the bliss that is CM10.
Download the apps used to backup up user data, and perform the restore.
Reinstall all applications from the Play store directly, rather than restore from backup.
Hi there.
Very green noob here. I just flashed my virgin Exhibit II 4G to 11/26/2012 build. I'm still restoring apps but everything looks good so far. One thing I noticed is that now my connection shows as 3G instead of 4G. Do I really have a problem with my data connection or does this ROM exposes T-Mobile's fake 4G for what it is?
Thanks for all the great work!

Task Manager
Hi again,
I'm new to using custom ROM, now that I have played more around with the CM10 ROM, I got question: in the stock ROM, they have a task manager which I get used to as a habit to run that and "Clear memory" from time to time (since we all know how the stock rom is laggy and stuff), but i can't find the task manager in CM10, where can i find that?
I don't like the ones in play store as they seem to be a bit complicated (that can kill system processes?), is there a way to get the stock or stock-like task manager (is that touchwiz task manager btw?) in CM10?
I read the CM10 thread, and someone posted this

Can I download and use that even it's not for our phone??
Thank you in advance.

So i have looked over the link of what you have posted, i have not tried that or seen anything like it. However if you would like to try it, download the zip and flash in cwm or twrp, then go to advanced and fix permissions.
EDIT: Just flashed it and it works just fine. Just actually have to click on the app itself instead of holding the home button like on 2.3.6

[Q] Something wrong with Play Store or my phone?

Hey guys, I have a problem with installing apps on my LG (market and non-market ones).
It basically says when I install them that I have INSUFFICIENT STORAGE AVAILABLE (error); with non-market apps the same and that I need to remove some apps.
I have 6.43GB of Internal Memory left, and 19.6GB of External Memory. It's very strange because I CAN download some apps (even bigger than the one that I can't), but other ones got that error.
Have any ideas? Maybe someone with the same problem?
p.s. I have no ROM installed; I rooted it 2 months ago..

cuz lucky patcher is the issue actually, patches that it had done.
when it patches the app, it creates patched .odex, which you need to manually delete when you update/reinstall the app. i had the same issue, but unfortunately i lost track of the thread with the fix. if i find it again, i'll post it.
edit:
try this: "Troubleshooting->Remove fixes and backups (to update app)" in lucky patcher.
i manually removed these .odexes, but this should work too. good luck.
edit2:
found the manual solution: http://kacnje.blogspot.com/2012/10/android-error-insufficient-free-space.html
sretno!
Just launch Lucky Patcher, the program will delete those files automatically. It works for me.

****, you weren't supposed to delete all of them, just the one from the app that wasn't installing. you need those other .odex files for system to function properly ><. do you have any backup at all? if not, you'll probably need to flash kdz file again (good news is, i don't think you'll lose any of the data or settings).

Just search for it in the General section, I bet you will find what you need.
Shouldn't missing .odex files be rebuilt automatically on reboot? At least that's what's happening after a factory reset (which, amongst others, also deletes al .odex files), and after a wipe of the Dalvik cache (which does exactly that: delete all .odex files).
Being stuck at boot, as you write, try this:
Boot into recovery
Select to "Wipe Dalvik Cache"
Reboot
After the next boot, the entire Dalvik cache should be rebuilt. Of course this requires a custom recovery to be installed (stock recovery doesn't offer to "wipe dalvik cache"; here you had to do a factory-reset, which would also delete all your apps and data).
I used this method:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2069723&highlight=flash+kdz+files
so I updated my firmware and now have 4.1.2 JB and everything works fine :victory:
thanks for helping! :good::good:

[Q] Uninstalled System APPS Problem!

Hi there guys!
I have the following stupid problem that is described below.
The problem is about mistakenly uninstalled system app trying to clean up the device from useless apps. This happened on an rooted SGS I9000, Gingerbread 2.3.6 XJW4 (or XJW6 do not remember exactly the build).
So the uninstalled app were maybe the google framework gsm or google services framework application or something else. And after uninstallation my profile for gmail dissapeared, in general from the phone also. But I could still restart the device and it was running without any issues, just no profiles.
After all, I tried to reinstall the missing app using several versions for com.google.android.gms, downloaded from the internet, but after installing it, the device started throwing errors and stop working crashes. I also tried to add the profile to the gmail and it was successful, but no messages were loading at all... Then I restarted the phone... and everything ended here.
The phone started looping the boot screen with the logo, reboot after reboot and nothing happened. I do not have any backups. The device is rooted and I have installed clockworkmod 3.0.0.5. I also tried to make a backup using clockworkmod, but the internal sd card was almost full. The backup finished successfully according to the clockworkmod app, but I don't trust it at all, because the internalSD almost full with only a few MBs free.
I have an external SDcard but it is not visible from the clockworkmod console and I can not create the backup on it...
How to fix the device without wipe/data loss? Can I repair only the system somehow?
If I use Odin to flash without repartition, will the flash wipe the memos, calendar, phone records?
Can I browse/move/delete/extract data from the internalSD and run another backup?
Please help!
Many thanks!
Sorry bRo the only solution for your phone is flashing new rom with Odin and you will lose some data
