I came across this service menu code *#*#197328640#*#* and if I press 5 then 1 then 1 i will have different options to increase the gain RX/TX for the earpiece volume and even blue tooth and speaker volume. Can I increase the earpiece volume for this menu?

I have the following problem:
I call a number and set the in-call volume to any level and wait for the HTV volume screen do disappear.
1. Sometimes as soon as the volume setting screen disappears the volume gets reverted back to the lowest setting. --> I have to keep presing the VolumeUp button in order to hear the other party.
2. Other times the volume is kept when the control disappears However, when I want to set the volume again it forgets my previous volume setting and starts from the lowest setting again.
3. Sometimes it even displays max volume on the screen but I hear that the lowest setting is selected because the volume is very low. I also cannot increase the volume because it thinks that the highest setting is selected. I can press volume down and volume up again, which solves the problem.
I like the design of the HTC volume control, so I do not want to revert back to the default WM volume slider. However, the UI of the HTC volume control is not in correlation with the actual volume level. Any suggestions?
Anyways is there another way to increase the in-call volume besides using the volume adjuster on the side of the G1?
The volume adjuster on the side of my G1 is broken. I can only decrease the in-call volume and not increase it. I accidentally decrease the volume over time and now it is to it's lowest point and I cant hear at all.

You mean besides using the volume key while in call? in case of the ringer, you can edit the mp3 ringtone using some audio software and then upload the resulting file if you have already increased the actual phone volume to the maximum.
I just updated to 10. 0 0.173 and since this update the volume of my headset (Bose QC 35) works separately from the volume on my phone.
So if I put the volume of my phone on 50% and the volume on my headset on 50% then the actual volume is 25%. I can only change the volume of android on the phone and the volume of the headset on the headset itself.
Before this update the phone and headset volume where in sink, changing to volume of the headset changed the volume of Android itself as well.
Is there a chance that somebody know's some more about this problem, and can help me to change it back to the old way?
This might be related to Bluetooth Absolute Volume under the developer settings. Check under the developer settings menu and enable it.
My SM-N960F started to have very low in call volume. Is this a common problem? I am hoping it is not a hardware issue. Is there any registry/engineering mode tweak that would increase the volume of the upper speaker?
