HI,
I installed froyo on my galaxy S recently and i was wondering if there is anything out there that lets me view arabic in full (with connected letters etc) right now they are all disconnected and the words are left to right not right ot left. In 2.1 i installed an update.zip in one of the roms and that bought me arabic support is there anything similar i can do for froyo?
Thanks

You mean you had a problem after the upgrade? If so, what was it? Or what problem are you referring to?
Thanks.

I did see that page before. But my arabic is not strong enough to understand the instructions there. I am still learning. Do you know of any page that shows those instructions in English?
Thanks.

Hello,
I have this phone and after trying to update it thru Kies I get this message:
This device's version cannot be updated I see also this numbers in the same window:
PDA:JM6 / PHONE::JM1 / CSC:JM4
I'm really new to this and I simply wanted to have Froyo on my phone. Is this possible? I really don't know what this number means. I live in Slovenia (Europe).
Thank you for any kind of advise.

Wait for Official Froyo to be released...You should get it...
However, If you want it right now, than use Ref. heck and see if that gives you...I am using JP6 Froyo , updated via Kies.

Hi there are loads of ways to flash (some good and not soo good) but is it just to root or install the custom rom's available.
With the wifi only there are less options and its more tricky, if you can tell us what for then can give the best directions.
Rgds
I am also interested in hints for flashing the Wifi only GT.
At the moment I am wondering how to enter secret codes without phone service / dialer keypad? Does have anybody experience with this?
Kind regards
fx

Meant to get back in here and post, but the best way I have found is the SuperOneClick can get it here http://shortfuse.org/?p=13 and make sure before you connect that you have USB debugging selected, then once that's done just click root and few moments later happy days!

This may be a completely stupid idea, but I'm not at home to try it out so apologies in advance, but presumably you could download a dialer off the Market and that would do the job?

Tip, do not flash after that a custom ics. Stock is far the best. And the real thing is comming very soon.
ICS Repack Problems
Hi all,
I managed to flash ICS Repack by Chainfire on my galaxy note today. It is pretty cool and really fast. But I've few questions to ask regarding this new ROM. Please be kind enough to direct me to a appropriate thread if these questions are already been asked and solved.
After I flash ICS Repack, I cannot find CWM anymore. What happened to it ? and how I can get it back ?
How I can go back to my old GB rooted ROM (I've CW backup of that rooted LB2 GB ROM) ?
By now, this ICS version cannot render South Asian languages. but LB2 rendered it very well. Are there any option to get that language support on this ICS ?
I need to change this Keyboard (Chinese) to English. Any other method to change it (Instead of installing GO Keyboard) ?
In our county phone numbers have two formats (our numbers are start with "0" but receiving calls don't have that starting "0" ). But in this ICS ROM, those 2 numbers are Identifying as two different numbers. Any method to fix that issue ?
Can I get my CPU speed to 1.4GHz again ?
Please be kind enough to help me on these matters.
Thank You.
This is why users should study BEFORE they flash. Anyways. Flash CWM, boot it, resrore backup. Cant help you much. Just got my Note happy studying

Stick with GB for now...people working with ICS around here like to make you jump through hoops just to get your phone to work...so if you're not will to spend the time on it, then stick with GB...no fuss, no muss.

Also, massive thanks for updating your OP with the answers you have found. If only all question-askers did this.

Some of them are to slow to use and some of them have problems with connecting to wifi and gsm. Has anybody a rom installed on his HTC
touch diamond (DIAM100) that i could use for daily use. Please let me know where to find it! I dont mind if it isnt the latest release,
as long as its works smoothly for my device!
