Share MarketAccess SIM Codes? - Galaxy S I9000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys, what about we share our SIM country codes, used in MarketAccess, so we can test and see the apps for each country?
I'm looking for an UK code, since my phone is from UK.
My SIM is 72431 (from Brazil, telco: Oi)
Share!
Thanks.

you don't need any of that
just use App Brain
AppBrain App Market
Apk: http://www.appbrain.com/app/com.apps...demonkeys.apps
This app is almost a must have, great for recoveries, switching ROMs, or simply a way to manage install/uninstall all the apps from the PC
more info http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=765081

Errr... AFAIK AppBrain does not give you access to paid apps if you are in a non supported country, like ALL minus 12 or 15 countries.
But thanks anyway.

If you have root you can use market enabler to access paid apps in other countries
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App

Why people just don't read the question before posting answers anymore?
Jeez...

all the online Apps Stores can get you access to paid apps when you access it from the PC
once added to the gmail account, you can download it regardless of country restriction
That's why AppBrain and many other ones works
it's only the stock Android Market, that have such restrictions

Really?
And how do I purchase and pay for an app via AppBrain?
I can't see how. Oh, and they say on the website that you can't purchase directly from them.
Please, explain me how.... using AppBrain.
Thanks.

Not that I could find.
Thanks, and keep the codes comming!

Thanks for posting this!
As I always do with big companies like this, I checked Amazon's website to see if they truly had released an app and someone wasn't just playing with us in a phishing scam. It's legit, it's real, and here's the link:
Amazon's Press Release
I'm not a huge Amazon user, but I do shop there from time to time. This is really a great way to reach customers. Kudos to Amazon!
Now if they could just make a Kindle reader for Android...

Could you (or anyone else for that matter) please post the apk file?
I've just searched for it here in the spanish android market and can't find it.
I use to buy stuff from Amazon and an app like this would be great.

It's a tool some italian guys developed before Google opened the Italian market for paid apps so they could buy in the US one.
Besides allowing that, it comes with an added benefit and it's that it allows getting any app from the US market, even if it isn't available for the UK, Spanish or any other market.
The app requires root, but that I suppose won't be a problem for any xda user. You can get it here
Amazon.com app
Just found out about this app and it sounds really interesting. Only issue is it's not available on the market in the UK (at least... I assume it isn't. I can't find it...)
Would someone be able to upload the apk? It's a free app so I'm not stealing it or anything
And I understand it probably only searches amazon.com, but I'm really not that bothered about that
There's already discussion on this. It was the third result when I searched: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=544239

Use the Market Enabler to spoof your region to say the US, so you can buy paid apps.

I cant see a reason to not root, but ok.
Quickoffice can't handle Office 2007 docs
Does anybody know if Documents to Go can please?
Since you can simply look it up on Market, especially since the actual description on the Market for Docs to Go, it states it supports doc, docx, xls & xlsx under the free version. So the answer to your question is yes.

[Q] Post paid application in Google Play from unsupported country

Hello there!
I am from Greece and I am looking for a way to post my application to Google Play. I am willing to pay the 25$ fee but my country is not listed on the supported countries (cannot post link to the supported countries because of low posts limit).
So, what are my options? May I create a bank account on a foreign bank based on a supported country (and then connect that bank account to my paypal?)
Also, why are some countries not supported? Why Google Wallet cannot be directly connected to Paypal and forward the payments there?
Can someone give a brief explanation about the possible solutions/options?
[To the mods: I know that this is a question but I feel this is the most relevant place to post it, as it is a Google Play experience. If you do not agree with this, please move this to the appropriate location.]
I'm facing the same problem, just use your own credit card, register your Google Account, choose a supported country as your country. Then you can join Google Play developer.
But if you want to sell paid apps, you need to open a bank account from the country above. Google doesn't check if you're from that country, just check the bank account.
I've opened two accounts for paid apps in this way.

I need to install Metrotalk on my new phone and I need YOUR help

I searched and searched and cannot find a clear answer to this, so I apologize in advance if I'm asking something redundant.
I recently purchased an Icon and my most used app on a daily basis was Metrotalk. I was part of the beta and purchased it as soon as it was available eagerly. The dev was awesome and updated the app in a way that set a high standard. Well, with the threat from Google of blocking access to Google Voice for 3rd party apps, the developer decided to unpublish the app just weeks prior to me finally upgrading to a WP8 device (which he added numerous exclusive features for).
Here's the deal though: the xap is still available for download from it's page on the store. Is there any way for me to get install this manually on my phone still? If so, can anyone direct me a thread here that tells me how to do it?
Thanks, folks. Here's to hope ...
Does your phone have an SD card slot? If so, download the .XAP from the web store and put it on the SD card, then (with card in the phone) open the Store hub. There should be an option to install the app from the SD card. I can't promise it'll work but it's worth trying.

Unfortunately it doesn't.
I've read about developer unlocking my phone, using a xap deployer and several other things but I'm hesitant to go that route without knowing for sure it would work. I'm not a developer and I'm not looking to sideload a bunch of apps or anything like that. I just want this one that I purchased back really, really bad. Yeah, it's that useful of an app for me.
When it's unpublished, there's no way to redownload it. You need an unencrypted xap for that (not from the store). Best way would be to ask the developer, and if he gives it to you you can just download the windows phone SDK, register the phone & deploy the app.

Well, the worst that could happen is him saying no. You don't put your device security to risk, it's not illegal and should be ok ^^ if you don't want the whole SDK and don't need it, you can get the "lite sdks" from arnold link here: http://dhost.info/vink/avink/forums/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=4 it has everything needed to deploy the app.
Tried to contact the dev 3 different ways and no response. This sucks.

If we can find someone with a Samsung ativ s with the app installed, we could get the unencrypted xap. Or I might be able to get my lumia 920 jtag-unlocked...

I tried there too, along with email and reddit.
What I don't understand is why the pressure to remove the app from the store when other apps (such as Free Talk) are still available on there? Was Metrotalk singled out because it was awesome???
These are rhetorical questions, as I know no one here can answer them and the developer only talks about Metromail now ...

[Q] Do I need to purchase a Dev account to deploy apps?

Hi, I just finished a phonegap application that I want to deploy in a Lumia520, but I've been trying without success because it says that my phone is locked. I read on the microsoft site, that I can do this by using the registration tool, but I get an error related to the Windows Dev account, I tried to create one but it charges me $20 for it, my question is, is it necessary to deploy apps? if so, what do I do with the clients' phones? I would provide them the XAP, but, would they have to unlock their phones as well? I would appreciate your help, thanks!

Your Welcome,
Yes, in this case you have to Purchase it to Deploy the App to your Phone to Test it, and to Publish your App to Store, so that your Clients can Easily Install your App from the Store.

No, if you give them the XAP then they should also have their phone unlocked.
You have to publish your app to store, so that your Clients can install it.
I think there is an option to undiscover you app from the store, so no one can see it, people can only be able to install is using the URL you have provided to them.

Got it, well, I'll have to convice them then, so by uploading the application to the store, they don't have to have their phones unlocked right? by the way, I just purchased the account, but I don't know when is the expiration date, I have one from Android that never expires, I hope this one is the same, thanks!
