News widget - Captivate Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So I am looking for a good news widget. What are people using.
Right now I have the Genie news and weather widget but I am not so sure that I care for it.

I'm using BBC and it's pretty good you can customize the widget to show what feed you want..

I'm a proponent of Genie Widget. It actually is really nice for covering a wide range of news. Otherwise I used the stock Daily Briefing app set to AP News and a separate app from The Weather Channel.

sense UI clock clone

anyone know of one? the absolute biggest draw for me to Sense UI is that beautiful clock/weather widget. If I could get a good copy of it, I would be more willing to switch to vanilla roms.
I know there is that flip clock that looks just like it without the weather, and by the same person there is a weather widget that looks like it without the clock. however, splitting them up doesnt look good at all, and the weather is always 10 degrees off.
there's also beautiful widgets... which costs money. so if anyone knows of a sense ui clock clone, or hell, if you know of any clock/weather combos that you think look cool, go ahead and share it too, if I cant find a clone, maybe I can find one that's better!
Weather & toggle widget, by android apps. You have to instal the ht7 skin for the clock a and the weather. it has nice weather animations too. Very similar to htc but no full screen animating when coming off the lockscreen. I believe its a dollar in the market, but something like that is definitely worth it..

Closest thing I've found so far..
spend the 2 bucks...
Beautiful widgets is well worth the whopping two bucks...loads of skins for both the clock and the weather, you can hide the background, change font colors and now you can even hide the weather if you want. By far my favorite even over the sense ui original.
I can do all of that with weather and toggle widgets. And it's free, not that 2 bucks is a lot, just sayin

"Fancy Widget" is pretty nice. It's free too.

Weather and toggle (android apps) is also a paid app now and has been for a while...there is a free version but it has a lot less features...either way there are options out there.
I have both Beautiful Widgets and Weather and Toggle .... they are both awesome apps .... I will go thru phases ...right now I have been using Weather/toggle widgets more .....but next week it may be different

This is what I was about to suggest, it is free and looks exactly like the original, and when you tap the weather part of the widget, a 5 day forecast window pops up very quickly.
Love it.
fancy widget looks like its gonna do the trick! it's exactly one for one what I was looking for. brings up a forecast and the clock app when you click on it in different areas. too bad there's no animation, but I can live without it, it just looks so cool.
the other suggestions were great as well, I tried every one that's in here (if it was free, I'm a total cheap skate)
thanks everyone!

Weather Apps?

I'm a HUGE fan of the weather, now that hurricane season is here, I will furiously keep my eyes to the sky. Are there any apps out there other than local weather apps to keep my eyes on tropics here or elsewhere?
edit: Sorry, here in Fl. or elsewhere.
There is a weather channel app I think, There's also the Beautiful Widgets, Weather Widgets..The List goes on.
But honestly, it's personal choice. I think those app and widgets give you Weather reports outside of your current country too.
Yeah, I know about those, I was thinking more along the lines of radar and tracking. I guess NOAA type stuff. Maybe too intricate for the average app programs.
NAVIGuide or something like that from the market

Weather Widgets allows you to set your weather to someplace other than you actually are. Just go into the settings.
Try Radar Now (think that's the name). Very basic app but it shows refreshed radar images extremely well.

I use radar now on a daily basis, I'm going to look into Naviguide next, Thanks.
Maybe a hurricane tracker app, I'm still searching. Reading as much as possible. Really want to learn to create things from scratch!
Thank you to all that have chimed in!!!

Widget Spectacular!

Can we start a Widget Marathon for Xoom!!
I am not seeing much Widget listing anywhere!!
And any made for Tablets either, wish there is a Widget Tab for Tablet in Market!!
Why not we all start one here!!
All I can see and start one is this I used Daily!!
WeatherBug for Honeycomb
Rating maybe bad on Market of 3 Stars, Overall Great widget shows my weather!!
Interface for the Full App is brilliant and easy to read!!
Beautiful Widgets (Paid)
Rating 4.5 Stars on Market
Tons of Apps, my own comment not enough for Daily Usages, mainly just looks to beautify!!
[I will add more when I stumble on to more]
wizz Widgets is the best and free.
AppStack and Reader HD are both exactly what I was looking for, the widget for Reader HD lets you set a widget with a custom rss feed that looks like the cnn app's news widget. Win. AppStack is a flashy app organizer that is great for sorting my games.

Best weather widget for Note?

Are there any decent weather apps out there that work properly with the note's huge 720p screen?
Reason I ask this is because after recently using my personal favourite weather app (beautiful weather) it only takes up a part of the screen and looks ugly.
It has not been updated to stretch and make use of the note's screen.
The note comes preinstalled with accuweather but I do not like it's interface & when looking at the temperatures of other countries it's all over the place.
Any good recommended weather apps made specially for the note or at least take up the whole width of the screen?
Eye candy is a must have, something good looking like beautiful weather.
How about ocean weather.

HTC Sense style weather
Coming from 9 years of HTC devices, I am quite attached to the Sense Weather Clock.
Fancy Widgets has the best app that works well and puts waether and time on the homescreen and links to the stock clock.
There are many other skins included than the Sense one in Fancy Widgets.
How about Beautiful Widgets? I'm using it myself (on my DHD) and it works and looks (after some theming) awesome.
I think it's free at Getjar, but it may have been a "app of the day" thing when i got it.
Beweather is also good.. it also has HTC like or even better animations of the weather when u tap them..
P.S- its free at get jar too..
Thanks everyone for your replies, much appreciated.
I think the best looking weather app I've seen posted here was the Fancy Widgets which I will try.
BazookaAce recommended beautiful widgets which is great and I've tried.
Problem with beautiful widgets is that it's made for devices which are 800x400, which is what you have.
As the Galaxy note is 1280x800 it does not stretch in full screen and looks horrible.
Im using yahoo weather.

I use Beautiful Widgets and Go Launcher EX does a great job of re-sizing the widgets. I have setup my grid 5 wide and 6 high and the only problem now is finding enough widgets to fill the screens.

On the contrary...BW has widgets that expand to the full screen. I tried them all & stuck with BW.

After trying a few weather apps I preferred the one you mentioned, beweather followed by beautiful widgets...
I decided to stick with beweather pro. It's a great looking app having an excellent interface as well as being easy to configure and customize.

Can you please explain how?
I have gone through everything, but can't change it from 4 columns wide to 5.
Cheers.
The launcher has to support it. Its a launcher and not a widget feature. Currently Zeam, ADW (Ex?), Launcher Pro (Plus) and Go Launcher Ex support widget resizing, there are maybe more, dont know.

Weather widget needed...bored of my current options

I'm looking for a nice graphic weather widget. Something cool, graphic, and displays an accurate weather source.
Most of the widgets I've tried look years old, nothing cool and fresh.
Any suggestions?
HD widgets I've never tried anything else because it's that good. Worth a couple of bucks
