Hi, i have flashed the SPQRom 0.4.1 - CM6 (FroYo), the Google Apps and the market-patch-v1.zip to try out the new system. I have done a nandroid backup, then wiped data and dalvik cache and finally booted into my new system. I've tried it out and then i wanted to get back to my other one (HCDR. Rom 1.6). So i restored and it successed so i pushed "Reboot System Now". It started and started and started and after more than an half hour i could still only see the "tattoo" sign. I put my sd card into my computer... all the files from HCDR. Rom including photos videos etc. are on the card. The phone just doesn't start.
What can i do ?
Thx
Try to start without SD inserted. And make sure your battery has enough power. U did everything right as it seemed to me
doesnt work
Before flash HCDR
wipe dalvik cache and data.
something wrong with boot.img.
If you have goldcard you could restore Tattoo to original state with official ROMhttp://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=5179788&postcount=1 (from step 17).
Or please read this topic http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=768883
first check your battery, it should be over 50% to do anything with tattoo.
try to enter the boot loader ( when is phone off, hold "home" button and press power on button ) when sign tattoo is appear on screen, release them and wait about a minute to loader menu is appear.
Then if your ROM is still on your sd card (named update.zip) choose option flash from sd card, or isn`t try with option wipe, and wipe all except "ext - partition" and reboot.

The option to format my SD Card is GONE from the recovery menu, here's what happened.
1. i9000M running Froyo JPM approx. 3 days, no lagfix, rooted, lots of apps, SD card almost full.
2. Took phone out of pocket - Black screen of death, bottom buttons light up on touch.
3. Reboot into ClockWorkMod Recovery - unmount and remount everything. Reboot, and nothing. Wipe cache, reboot, nothing. Wipe data/restore to factory, reboot, AHA!, see 4.
4. Phone starts, immediately starts force closing like none other.. so, reboot into recovery.
5. Try restoring a Nandroid backup.. everything is swell, but it finds an error: can not restore android_system.img ... oh boy
6. Go back into recovery.. can NOT get to ClockworkMod Recovery, when I try to apply the update.zip, ERROR: no such file exists
Note: at this point I am not getting any errors when I enter recovery mode related to mounting, sdcard - nothing.
7. Try wiping/resetting again. Nothing.
8. Try flashing back to UGJH2 (stock Bell), nothing.
In the end, I still have no errors in recovery, and the option to format my SD card is gone..
Is this the same SD card issue as everyone else, or did I unmount my SD card somehow in step 3?
you sound like this case
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=822580
so when you re-flashed back to JH2
did you get any error message?
which method did you use to flash back to JH2 ?
Hi guys,
I tried installing CM7 onto my nook, i installed the zip of it onto the root of my sd card and then went into clockwork and installed the zip without wiping anything. Now im stuck at the stock android root boot screen not the even the CM7 one. I tried to go into recovery but i cant and i cant do the 8 interruptions either. I was just wondering if i have to restore the NC back to 1.1 or can i just burn the image of clockwork onto my sd card and zip another rom instead?
This happened to me, too.
I think it was because I wasn't using the latest Clockwork.
Take your SD card out and redo it making sure you use CW 3.0.1.0.
Then follow the steps listed here:
Download a working build of CyanogenMod and place it on the root of the card.
Optional: Download the Google Apps archive and place it on the root of the card.
Turn your Nook Color completely off. (Hold power button then tap "Power Off")
Insert the SD card you installed ClockworkMod Recovery onto.
Once ClockworkMod Recovery has booted, use the volume buttons to highlight options, the "n" button to select the highlighted option, and power to go back a menu.
Select Wipe data/factory reset.
Select Wipe cache partition.
Go to install zip from sdcard, then choose zip from sdcard and find your build of CyanogenMod.
Optional: Repeat step 6 with your Google Apps archive instead.
Go to mounts and storage --> unmount sdcard --> remove sdcard. (Rebooting without this step may just return you to the CWR menu.)
Go back to the main menu and select reboot system now. The Nook Color should now boot into CyanogenMod.
(In my case it froze and I had to hold power to shut it off with no negative effects. Your results may vary.)
Sigh, had to copy n paste the steps since I can't post links yet.
I re-did mine and it turned out just fine.
Thanks a lot. Im going to try that out and report back.
Yeah, sounds like you missed the wipe /system /data /cache step. I did the same once, and resulted the same bootloop -> took me a few minutes to realize what I had done.
Did what you guys said and my nook is back . Thanks a lot for the input. Saved me!
I tried a long various way, no success and now i can't use my loved nexus.
Everything was working very fine till i used my nexus' sd to flash a rom in a friend's nexus ( his was not working): here started the problem.
After re-putting on my sd on my n1, i lost all data, settings, no apps, no market, no adw..
-Tried to reflash the rom(kang 1.3 which was working perfectly till before): still no market, no adw, stock look, no apps (included in the rom)
-Tried to wipe all data/factory reset, reflash the rom: still no market, no adw, stock look, no apps (included in the rom)
Then i reached to install the 2.3.6 stock rom, which was working: i rooted it with superoneclick, installed rom manager
First i tried to backup with clockwork recovery but it stopped on backing up sd/ext: i had to remove battery and reboot, install ra recovery to have a success in backing up ( in recovery's opinion).
At this point i tried to reflash the rom, but i got stuck on the starting animation which is in loop..
I tried to nandroid restore from ra recovery but it said "Oooops something went wrong"
don't know how to solve, can you please help me? i can't use the phone! (recovery seems to work, have drivers correctly installed)
Ok my guess it's your SD card that has a problem so try making a full wipe (erase on) of your SD card and see what happens.

Click to collapse
I'm re-flashing the passimg of stock 2.3.6 which yesterday was working.
again i noticed some problems on boot animation, but it moved on and it seems to works..
should i partition again my sd? Because it works on my pc ( in this way i put into the sd the passimg.zip, so it shouldn't be broken) and i guess maybe it's because of that..
A re partition would be a good idea.
When my sd-ext got corrupt the fat32 portion was fine but ext portion was busted
repartioned sd, still get the problem wtf..
http://pastebin.com/igvgPHSN here is the boot log, hope this'll help you..
thanks!!
I would format card outside phone with sdformatter--I use v2.0? Full Erase and Size Adj ON. Then repartition and swap is 0.
i first tried this:

and then this:
http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/23/problems3a.png/
but it didn't solve the problem.
Then i did a full wipe and it worked, i reached to install the rom, BUT missing some pre-installed apps (like adw, facebook, android stock keyboard etc., but with market, gapps et.)
i put this apps on my own and now it's working, but still miss something like the link to "power off", "reboot" , "recovery" etc.
what is going on?
Hi, I have performed a full wipe operation in CWM. It took less than a second and the internal files were still there. So I tried to boot up the phone to check but the phone didn't boot up. I went back to recovery menu but when I tried to install CM9 the phone doesn't see the sd card. "can't mount sdcard" is one of the things written there.
What should I do now?
I got it to work but I've lost IMEI number...
You must install firmware with odin ,... i have this same problem
I had some huge problem with my Nexus One and I wanted to start over completely, so I stupidly went to CWM recovery and hit format boot, cache, data, sdcard, system, and sd-ext. For some reason I didn't realize this would make my phone unusable and make it have no OS. So now when I turn on the phone it goes straight to the fastboot menu, so I can only access the fastboot, bootloader, and CWM recovery.
I've tried formatting my microSD card and putting a stock PASSIMG.zip file (located at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1312540) on my microSD card but the bootloader doesn't detect the PASSIMG.zip file.
Can anyone give any guidance on what I can do now?
Thanks
FIXED. This seems to happen to me so often-- things suddenly working after I already make a thread about my problems. But I discovered that the microSD card was corrupt so that's why it never actually had the PASSIMG.zip file on it. Everything is back to normal, and I restored factory settings :good:
