Can we get it to work on Vogue, since it is already working on TP2 and we have better usb support?
was this thread really necessary, there is already a discussion on this matter 3 threads down, all your doing is wasting bandwidth now

now that the hero roms are starting to become so quick and are usable, they're now viable as Daily-Use roms. But the lack of bluetooth is distressing, i have recently received two friendly warnings from Officers of the the Law about using a phone while driving and bought a headset, but know i want my cake and eat it and still use a hero rom.
What is it thats stopping this from being fixed? Is it ever likely to be?

Search for a thread that's dead 2 months ago? Lol.
Anyways, danvvc, post this in Q&A. You're likely to get a more prompt, correct response. I personally haven't ever used a Hero ROM once. Sorry I couldn't have been more help.

The thread is dead because the issue could never be resolved. Without the full source for the HTC Hero (And no I'm not talking about the kernel source on developer.htc.com) we will not be able to get BT working. So by searching for a "dead" thread one would see I was the thread maintainer, could send me a PM and I'd have happily answered any questions.
The fix is not going to come by "Android Hacking". It will require the actual source code and we'll need to change HTC's method of enabling BT which is completely different than Android does by default. They use the BTIPS daemon
Hi,
I've a question:
I don't understand why, but I can't activate the Wifi (wlan.ko right!), the GSM (lib ok), the cam (lib too OK!),... on the ported ROM (here is a link)
Is it because of the init file is : init.heroc.rc ???
I don't understand!
Thank in advance if anyone can help me, because otherwise, the ROM is really fast!
1.Wrong forum, read the rules. Unless you want to get a flaming beating.
2. :|
don't work:
wifi, BT, camera
Like come on, you posted in the wrong forum and can't friggin read.
EDIT: I took the liberty of tagging this thread for movement. Please, read the rules before POSTING. Ports always have some stuff missing, just wait for them to fix it?
OK, so, where must I move it? to MT3G android dev?
I've posted it here because I thinked the problems like this where on this 32B forum
Moved as not Android Development.
http://code.google.com/p/chrometophone/downloads/list
will this work on 2.1? or do we have to wait till we port froyo?
I made a thread asking the same question and got only one awser saying that it was not possible here is the link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=688059
Yeah, it uses the 2.2 APIs that were just released. Without the APIs on the device, this would never work. You could probably find a way to get similar functionality through some good programming, but it would take a lot of work and you would get mixed results.
Thread moved to Q&A

Hi,
1.) I want the TV out to stay on (if it is enabled in the settings) even after a reboot. At the moment, it stays on only until I reboot. Is there any way to accomplish this.
2.) Is there any way to make the phone boot automatically as soon as a charger is connected?
Any help is appreciated
what cable are you using for the tv out?

The Nokia CA-75U cable that came with my Nokia N95-2
I don't think there is a way. It turns off after a reboot prob to save battery life. As for when the charger is plugged in I've never seen any phone do that before. Good luck I think doing that would be hard as it isn't programmed in the system files.
heroandroid, this question has absolutely nothing to do with ROM development, and has no business being posted in that section. Please take a moment to stop and read the sticky thread at the of these sections titled "STOP!! Before you post, read this NOW!!"...there you will find clear guidelines for proper thread placement.

Dear Sir,
Please move this back to the Dev section. This is NOT a plain Q&A, as none of the above questions can be accomplished without CHANGES MADE TO THE ROM (I assume changes made to a ROM qualifies as ROM DEVELOPMENT)!
EDIT: I've been waiting all night hoping that a decent DEV has responded and would maybe like to help me, as I am not a dev, coming here with high hopes just having another MOD with probably zero dev experience move my thread!
So since no one seems to be ranting or asking the question about this, then I guess I will. And here's why. I read earlier this past week that LG would be pushing the update for their G3. I figure with that news out there and the idea of tweaking it to work on the G2, that there would be at least a beta out there? I've looked everywhere and I haven't found anything. I'm not sure how hard an LG is to port versus an HTC but I know that there are ports from the One m7, One m8, and One Max that work on the DNA. Anyways, I'm not trying to *****. I'm just curious as to why there isn't anything out yet? I'm ready to test drive the new 5.0 and I don't really like the nexus devices, nor do I have the money to go buy one out right. I'm just really wondering if anyone is even working on this or waiting for it to hit and then will start working on it??
1. I don't think you're allowed to post questions in development forum, ROMs only.
2. The G3 update is not as easy to port as you think as we're missing a kernel. The problem is even more complicated with the Verizon model because we don't have a CDMA Nexus model to base it on. Porting to GSM model can use some help from the existing Nexus 5 kernel. That's what I think.
Well.. I believe that someone(s) is working on a port for the G2. I'm sure that since they're doing it for free and in their spare time, they will release one when they have a "Good, Safe to Flash" version. Since I'm not a developer of any sort and just a very grateful user of their work.. I will continue to wait patiently until they see fit to release it. If I get tired of waiting then I will probably learn how to make one myself. That way I can have it when I want it.
@CoyotesFan4Evr
First and foremost, this is in the wrong section, as stated before. This is not a Q&A forums (see sticky) and at 100 posts, you should know this.
Tim from ose and reven from liquid smooth along with eight other people, two being members working on cm are building cm12 for us.
Twice now it has been leaked, resulting in two broken builds, and doing nothing more then pissing off the guys working on it. It will come when they have it stable.
What? There is no lollipop port for the dna.
Please note the sticky at the top of the Dev forum going forward...
Sticky: ★ ☆ ✰ Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting do not go in the Development Section. ✰ ☆ ★
You know I get that everyone isn't trying to be rude about my posting in the wrong section but I'm sorry it came across rude. Yes I have 100 posts or more. However I didn't read the sticky at all because in my opinion of I or someone else should have a root question there isn't a real section for it that is easily noticed called Root: ask your questions here. So I'm personally going to go to the section labeled development and for my carrier and ask those questions. Maybe my brain is wired wrong in the way but to me it seems like common sense. Anyways, I'm done with my polite rant. I appreciate the responses for the information they gave me. I'll just sit back and wait I suppose. I could always play with stuff on my DNA.
@CoyotesFan4Evr
Yeah, I dunno. There's a general Q&A and a Verizon specific Q&A and you're asking a question, so I don't know why it doesn't click.
The reason why you don't ask questions here, is because it would bog the entire forum down with questions versus Roms, and this place is for roms.
I get why I shouldn't have asked my question here. That part clicks just fine mostly anyways. Where it run up on the issue is that it says general questions. I'm a member on another forum and you don't ask general questions about a rooted phone in a section like that. There is a section called all things root for that type of question asking. So I hope the logic of why I asked on this part of the forum makes sense. But for the future I won't post in the wrong section anymore.
Honestly dude just be patient. Some of the Nexus devices are only just now getting the update, and it's going to be a little while longer before we see anything. CM12 is being worked on and we'll get a G3 port a little while after Lollipop hits the G3. I'm foaming at the mouth for L just as much as anyone else, but these things take time.
If you really want to try it out, there's an early CM12 build in the regular Android development forum. It runs but has some bugs on all versions. It's really nice outside of that.
How do I enable WiFi?
Haha, just ****tin' you.
