I can't seem to find a good kernel to use with CM6. When using intersectRaven's kernel, Bluetooth didn't work, and now that I'm using wildmonk's kernel the Camera doesn't work properly when using touch-to-focus.
Any ideas on which kernel would be the most suitable? The aforementioned kernels gave me great battery life so I'm looking for that as well.

intersectRaven just released a pair of CM6 compatable kernels today, I just tested it and the WIFI, Bluetooth, and Camera all work perfectly. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=653598 Thread.
Pershoot or kmobs kernel..basically the same but kmobs isn't overclocked.

I'm used to BLN in other ROM'S. CM7 used to have it, but the feature seems to be missing in the newer builds. Any way to get it back??
you can get that in a custom kernel... check the dev section for CM7 kernel's and see which one is best for you.
Glitch has bln, but not sure I'd working on new version, and only basic configuration available

It's not that I'm not satisfied with the kernel I run, it's just that I'm certain there's some better one out there.
EDIT: What do you think of the kernel labeled Tiamat_N1-v4.1.0? From here: http://tiamat-dev.com/mahimahi/
the kernel you mentioned is what i am currently using as testing so far its working good with MIUI 2.3.23 and it offers up to 1.2GHZ overclocking which is not stable on my nexus at least

Any overclock beyond 1113 Mhz is unstable.

sry for my noob question. but is the kernel jus for oc purpose or for overall performance(battery life, call audio quality, smoothness etc)?
cos i am happy with stock kernel. no issues at all
Sent from my Nexus One using Tapatalk
the stock kernel was good for me to it did not give me any trouble but i like to mess around with my devices the change log for the kernel can be found here
Code:
http://tiamat-dev.com/8x50-changes/
as you can see there are a few improvements to the kernel with each update
I have been having 3G mobile network issue with CM7 base ROM. On certain location, I cannot download and make or receive calls. my 3G icon arrows show upload activities but no download happening. My ISP name (Maxis Malaysia) showing as normal. I upgraded to CM7.2, tried Kang ROM, preshoot kernel and change new SIM card but doesn't help. Anyone has any ideas on this problem? ROM or Kernel issue? Thank you.

Wildmonks [Kernel] [2.6.38.8 (CM7)] HAVS/SVS + 1152MHz (09/17/11)
is the best I have seen so far, used it for months and often thought I was glad I did because it seemed more stable than stock !

Search.
There's plenty of kernels in the development forums

Bestiaginger kernel works for rooted 20c from rogers no issues and still great battery I have not had a rom work like this and I've tried all the rooms in the lg 3d forum.
So if you wanna go faster and smoother try this kernel. And I've also used v6 supercharger and kernelizer. This has been the best the phone has ever worked. So well that there is no lag and good mem usage now too since putting in the Bestiaginger kernal.

Here is a kernel build for the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1.
Running on 1704Mhz. With extra 100, 50 and 25Mhz step. So it runs 25 to 1704 instead of 200 to 1400.
Custom bootanimation support. (Standard bootanimation wont work)
Triangle away support.
Update N8000BRV2 (ICS)
-better voltage settings
-better wifi drivers
-BFQ scheduler back
-updated linux version
-other minor tweaks
Update N8000Jelly_OC
-Build for JellyBean
edit.
N8013 and N8010 support pulled back because of the wifi problems

n8013 support?
I am also curious to see if this works on the US version (N8013). Anyone willing to give it a shot?

XDA told me that I need to put my source code online to confirm with the gpl license.
So right now Im busy finding out how to work with github after that I will build a N8013 kernel.

Check my sig for some git tips... which reminds me, Pulser asked me to write up a more detailed guide with more tips (such as how to handle branching and how to handle source releases for test kernels).
Once you've gotten familiar with git, github is as easy as "git push origin". Long-term, good git discipline will greatly improve your development workflow.
Not to seem greedy but is 1.6 the most we can squeeze out of this thing?

No this is just a start in fact 1600 isnt a real OC. The settings are already in the kernel made by Samsung they just locked it at 1400.

Issue with 5GHz Wifi
After applying this Kernel I was unable to connect to any of my 5GHz WiFi networks. Upon reverting to stock Kernel, the problem resolved.
Kernel seemed stable in all other aspects.
Running Stock XXALI1 (Rooted)
Thanks
OK - I took the plunge and tried this on a N8013. Only issue I have found is, as mentioned by MintyTrebor, with wifi. Both my 2.4 and 5Ghz work (as well as tether to the phone), but will occasionally disconnect - all I have to do to get it back is turn wifi on/off and things are good. Running at 1.6 on all cores (system tuner), very snappy (nova launcher). Benchmark tests really bumped up with this kernel. No problems with pen apps. Had one freeze, but that was after I'd installed twrp recovery.
Think I'll leave this kernel on for another day and see how the battery life is. Be great if someone could crank one of these out specifically for the N8013 to get rid of the wifi issue.
Thanks for testing kernel. Im gonna build kernel for 8013 and 8010 within 24 hours.

Hi all,
First time posting in the IncS section. I bought an IncS a few days ago and I'm pretty happy with it. My previous phone was an Optimus One (P500) which was running a modded version of CM7. This is my first HTC phone so I hadn't used Sense prior to this one. After spending some time on ARHD, I've decided that I'm not a big fan of Sense.
I'm planning on flashing CM7, but I was wondering if those of you that are using CM7 (or have used it in the past) have used a custom kernel with it or is the stock CM7 kernel the best option? Am I right in assuming that Redux and XS kernels shouldn't be used with CM7 since it's a gingerbread based ROM?
Tiamat don't even think just Tiamat.

Thanks : ) I found Tiamat's kernel page and noticed the latest is 1.1.5. I'll give that one a go.
Couple of questions since I see you're using Cm7.. From checking XDA and a couple of other forums I've read there's an issue with the backlighting on the buttons not working, but I'm unclear as to whether this is still a problem since these seemed to reference older builds of Cm7 from a few months back. I noticed the newest nightly was 20121111. Would you happen to know if the backlighting problem is still there? Also, I noticed there was a fix for camera freeze that was incorporated in the stock Cm7 kernel in the last couple of months. I'm assuming this isn't in Tiamat's kernel? Looks as though his latest kernel was released last year.

IMO stock kernel is better choice.
Yes it's already includes camera freeze fix, so there's no need in flashing it manually. But anyway you can try tiamat+fix
I can't say anything about backlights bug, coz it was long time ago I used cm

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I tried out CM7, both with stock kernel and the tiamat kernel. All went well initially. I couldn't believe how much more RAM I had available vs the Sense roms. After using it for a few hours the phone would freeze up at random times, and it would freeze up when I'd try to use the dialer. I ended up having to ditch CM7 and go back to a Sense ICS rom unfortunately. CM doesn't seem to have the level of development and testing on the IncS as it does on the Optimus One. With any luck there will be a stable CM10 available at some point.
