Need help! Screen won't turn on! - Touch Diamond CDMA

So yesterday my toddler son was playing with my Sprint Diamond when I saw him drop it onto the carpeted ground. The phone probably fell maybe about a foot but I guess the angle it hit the ground caused the battery cover to pop off.
When I picked up the phone, I noticed the screen was off and assumed it was in sleep mode because the battery didn't dislodge or anything. But when I pressed the power button, the phone wouldn't come on. I tried pulling the battery, hard resetting, etc but the screen still won't turn on.
While I was playing around with it, holding down the volume down button, power button and enter button at the same time, I could see the screen come on for a bit, then go blank again.
Physically there's no visible damage, there isn't even a scuff or scratch on the corners where the phone probably hit the ground. However, by some freak chance I think the fall caused something to go wrong internally, maybe the LCD digitizer became loose?
When I pull the battery and restart the phone, it vibrates as if it were powering up. But the screen never comes on.
Considering I don't have insurance on the phone, taking it back to Sprint is not an option and I'm out of the warranty period. Has this happened to anyone before? Any advice? Anyone have experience disassembling a Diamond? How hard was it? Thanks in advance.

the diamond (sprint) is a layered device.
you will need some very small screwdrivers lots of light and patience.
the screen is glued to the digitizer and the front housing, removal from the housing WILL crack it.
the boards and lower button pad con be removed safely, for inspection/reseating of plugs.
if the problem is not a loose plug, than a new screen and digitizer is in order and available on ebay from china

[Q] Urgent Nexus one wont power on after reassembly

Hey guys, my LCD broke, It was a AMOLED not SLCD, I bought this piece off ebay:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/260900702599?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649
I put everything back for the second time now, first of all the device doesn't come on, but when I plug the AC power it shows charging light.
I'm pretty sure my old screen is AMOLED..
I made sure all the connectors where tight on the board. any help?
It wont power on, did I break something?
I'm pretty screwed guys, been at it for like 5 hours I'm done for tonight
Here is what I've conluded. I detached the digitizer from the lcd I made a mistake and removed the factory "tape"
Is and in the process the little power button came off.
So what are my chances now?
Can the digitizer be taped back to the lcd? or Do I need to get a new digitizer which includes an LCD? so as to preserve the factory tape?
As far as the power button goes, I'm not talking about the plastic bit, I'm talking about the actual button underneath. It seemed to be holding on my a little thread anything. Is that "thread" a connector or the button functions fine without it? I put iit back and sealed the phone up, it seems to be pressing. But of course the phone wont still come on
Not even 1 person?

LCD won't turn on - help

Hello, guys!
Recently I bought an HTC One with cracked digitizer, but functional. It had a lot of scratches etc, but this is not important right now. I wanted to do a complete make-over so I bought replacement parts from the internet, I bought the front housing with the LCD screen and the back cover. I dissasembled the phone from the old housing (the one with the broken digitizer), and I assembled it back on the new housing. After all of that, I powered on the phone and it worked like a charm (the LCD and the touch-screen worked perfectly), but then I saw that the glass was a little out, I mean it was upper than the speakers cover, so I decided to take out the whole screen and to change the adhesive, because it was too loose and the screen wasn't staying properly. I succesfully did that, i put the screen back and everything was good, but when I wanted to start the phone, the screen remains black. And this is the problem I have. I mention that I worked very carefully with the screen, so I don't think the problem is at the screen. I disconnected and reconnected all the cables and still doesn't work. When I press the power button it vibrates and then it's making that sound like the phone is booting, but no image on the LCD. If I keep the power button pressed, the back and home buttons are blinking and then the same story as before, vibrates and then the sound. I really don't know what could be the problem.
I really need some help with this and I'm open to all of your suggestions. If you want more informations feel free to ask.
Thanks in anticipation!
To me it looks like you damaged one the flat flex cable.
When you took the screen out did it come like suddenly and maybe some tension was applied to the flat flex?
If I were you I would take it apart and verify the connection in the socket, maybe the socket was damaged or something and it doesn't make a good connection
I hope it works out for you
Thank you for your answer!
When I took out the screen, I took it out very carefully and there wasn't any tension applied to the flex cable, so I don't think this is the problem. I think it's more likely a problem with the socket on the motherboard, like you said, and it's not making a good contact. But what can I do about that?

Screen Jumping, and Sometimes Unresponsive

Just picked up a second hand S4 Active. At times, the screen gets jumpy. It looks as though you are trying to swipe between screens. Also, it will at times go unresponsive. Touching the power button to turn the screen off, then turning it back on with power or home, fixes it.
I am going to take it apart to see if there are any signs of corrosion, and make sure the LCD connector is tight. I really don't think it has water damage, because the stickers are white. I suppose they could have been replaced.
I saw some youtube things that said a swelled battery could be the culprit, but the battery is not swelled at all.
Any ideas on this? It's a flicker - it jumps around. Turning the screen off and on fixes it, so I'm not really sure what the deal is.
Thanks much.
Should have added - it's on stock 4.4.2, if that matters.

[Q] Dropped my phone, something inside broke.

So yeah, it was more like a throw than a drop and a very bad throw too (the phone went from around my head height and managed to go around 15 feet ahead of me). Still, being lucky the only external damage the device has was some scratches on the back. The front remained unharmed, however I could not turn the screen on, the backlight would turn on but no colour appearred other than a small white crack in the corner, meaning the screen inside broke or some. The phone can still register touches, vibrate and play sound. I managed to blindly enter the pattern lock, go inside and power the phone off. So I think it's the part that produces color that broke. I would like to know how a repair of that will approximately cost and what actually broke in the phone.

[Q] Ideas? I dropped my Turbo, bootloop, not a broken screen...

So two/three weeks ago I dropped my Turbo. It fell about 7 feet, as the first corner hit the floor, it rebounded and spun the phone so the opposite corner hit the floor next, then the device settled on the floor. Upon inspection the Turbo was off. No damage to screen.
So I turned it on... familiar vibrate... but no backlight... not even the faint lcd displays anything... okay... now the touch "hardware" buttons light up... as if its booting... okay.... wait... no sound at all but now the power button wakes/sleeps the phone (you can tell but the menu buttons lighting up or going dark)... but after about another minute, it reboots.... rinse and repeat...
I've NEVER seen a phone that looses sound and bootloops over a cracked/broken (even tried disconnected) lcd....
*edit, turns out the nexus devices do the same thing with a broken lcd! Boot loops! Watchdog
At a guess I would say most likely the LCD got damaged.
Rather than go through attempting a repair, you may want to just send it to motorola. They do a flat rate Out of Warranty repair for $125 + tax. Pretty good deal if you ask me.

well, i bought a WORKING LCD/Digitizer w/broken outer glass for 20$ on ebay. Should come in tomorrow or the next day. I'll post results a bit later. If it works, I'll do a glass repair on the lcd and use the glass from my "broken" lcd.
Also, I've heard from a few people that a broken LCD can cause bootloops on the nexus devices! So that can explain that.
The only thing not explained is the two red looking pices of "glitter"
Its ALIVE!! The replacement screen fixed ALL issues!
So it seems the nexus line has a watchdog set up, and if your LCD is broken to the point the phone doesn't see it, the phone will reboot on its own.
