Hello,
I have a problem with my ATT Captive Android 2.1 phone.
I know (now) I did a stupid this:
Using Titanium Backup I did remove some ATT apps and also I removed google voice.
Then I start getting error message
the process com.google.process.gapps has stopped unexpectly.
I did Factory restore didn’t help and also at that point I couldn’t download any apps from the Market.
Did some research and I’m not the only one who uninstall it
So I reinstall them in order found on this site (Thank you very much)
TalkProvider.apk
GTalkService.apk
Talk.apk
And phone woks OK until I restart it, getting message again and have to reinstall
TalkProvider.apk
GTalkService.apk
Talk.apk
How I can fix it, please help.
Any idea why factory reset not restoring all Google apps?
My phone rooted and unlocked.
Thank you for any information.
Dan.

Factory reset won't restore things you have deleted from the phone.. You're probably going to have to Odin to get things back to normal.
I did it, no help at all, maybe I load the wrong one I found Odin one click in dev forum on this site.

That's the right one. Did you do a master Clear as well? If so and you are still having issues I bet you have corrupted NAND memory and need a new phone.
How to make the master reset?

Thanks SOOOO MUUCHHHH!!!!!! ^
I was going through my phone and deleting bloatware. I deleted those three talk apps and was flustered after I realized what I had done. I put those three back in the designated folder system/apps. Everything works perfect again.
GENIOUS!!! I thought I would have to flash my phone again!!! Thnx so much!
I granted the correct permissions to the 3 files after copying them to the System folder, then MOVED them to system/apps and VOILA! It´s done!
I have z4root, titanium backup pro, rom manager and various other apps. Now whenever I download, update, or uninstall an app I get two vending fc right after the process completes. Any ideas?

Flash a vurnable sbf with rdslite. Put the gapps in your open recovery updates folder and flash as update
For the most part I was just looking for the wifi tether app. So I did one click root and everything was still good. Downloaded rom manager, everything was still good, installed the clockworkmod. Phone rebooted and I had to do the update thing. Phone rebooted, still good. Installed busybox and lost the ability to usb tether my phone. Removed the busybox and got tether back. Downloaded the beast update and told rom manager to reboot into recovery and installed update, rebooted, update didn't take, did it again and still nothing. Finally booted phone and manually entered recovery mode and ran update. This one took. Now I go to try run the wifi app and it force closes. Tried to run super user app, force close. Tried to run rom mananger to restore last backup and super user fails there too. Any ideas?

This doesn't belong in development.
I would suggest you flash back to stock using Odin.

Post in Q&A
You removed busybox which is necessarily for many rooted apps, hence you get a lot of FCs

Seriously do you just think in Q&A they just talk about glitter and shoes? You don't need to goto development to get a technical answer lol

Why don't you pruds try to help and not criticize that is what is wrong with this Dev Forum God forbid if you all come down off your this is a dev forum.
It looks like you rooted twice with 2 different apps. Not sure what that would do bit it cant be good.
I would one click to stock, then run unleash the beast and be done with it.

Moved to Q&A.
Thank for moving it to the correct forum, I guess I figured since it was a problem with something from dev that is where I should post, my bad. As for the rooting twice the post said it was ok if you were already rooted.
Ok, so I used the one click root and took it back, re ran unleash and still same problem. According to the post it should install busy box at the time of the installation. It didn't, I downloaded it but it won't install.
Thanks, I flashed back with odin. I was able to install the beast, however wifi tether continually crashes with force close. I tried to update with the new install but it still crashes.

Dude. So let me get this straight. You don't like it when people just complain and don't help, and yet I helped (well, tried, sorry it didn't work lol) and then let loose a rant about posting in the right area, and then you complain and don't help.....???

Flashed back to stock with odin and did a master clear. Wifi tether still force closes
I am trying to root a Droid 1 using z4, but all it does is go into "acquiring root shell" then back into the app screen without rooting. Like a force close without the force close message. I also cannot download any apk files from any website.
I have tried 2 factory resets, but no luck. I am running Android 2.2.1
What am I doing wrong? Any help is much appreciated, thanks for your time

I just received and promptly put nookie froyo on my nook color. Unfortunately, I cannot install facebook for android on it. It does not find it in the market and when I attempt to install from the browser based version of the android market, it says incompatible with my device.
I searched and read countless threads and have not found anyone else with this issue or anything discussing this.
Thanks!
did u clear the data and cache on the market and framework, they showed up for me when i did that.
Had to do this to get market to download in the first place. But just tried it again, with a reboot, without success.
thanks though
There are some market issues still with nookie Froyo. Im sure the devs are working hard to get it fixed.
I pulled the apk from my DX and tossed it into my Dropbox and boom.

so you took the market.apk to fix your issues, not the specific apps you were trying to get apk?
