Hi guys,
I've been using TAEL ROM for a long time. But since it has the Sense UI, it eats a lot of battery. So I was thinking of switching back to Titanium UI.
But I don't see any application, mod, or nothing related to Titanium. Even the Titanium Project seems droped.
And I believe WP7 doesn't work in Fuze...
So... Is Fuze dead? Is Titanium dead? Both?
Cheers...
May be you can try this one

I will get GS2 tomorrow and will give my SGS to my son. I just want to know if anyone know what is the best way to disable the phone features. My 5 year old sone will only be using it for apps and video player.
Should I just uninstall everything through titanium backup or is there a rom out there that will have this. I'm hoping there is a rom more like the player only version.
Maybe by doing this it will make the battery last longer as well.
You could just remove the sim card.

Uninstall Phone.apk?
thanks, anything else i need to take off other than phone.apk so I can maximise battery life
Wow, I wish you were my dad
There are a lot of apps on the Market to protect specific APK's. Can't remember what they are called right now. I'm not sure about system APK's though.
I'd use Titanium Backup and freeze the .apk for messaging and phone calls. That way you can easily restore them if you need the phone to work.
Hey guys,
I'm on stock rom and I can feel the lags when I'm using the phone like when I'm using Smart Keyboard, I can feel the slowness it takes to register one key to another key.
Do you feel the same too?
Other than flashing custom roms, does freezing applications like F-secure and Car Home helps?

Install "Watchdog task manager lite" from market to check what apps are eating up the cpu cycles. Then either change the apps' setting to reduce cpu usage or delete the app. This should help reduce the lagging.
Perhaps use a Launcher such as LancherPro or ADW which are downloadable from the Market. I choose LauncherPro as personally I find this to have least lag possible.
I'm using Go Launcher currently.

I think LP and ADW are much smoother... especially paid versions.
I see. But then when I'm typing, it's really laggy in terms of when I press on the keys, the letters won't appear immediately in the textbox instead awhile later..
Does Launcher Pro have the ability to put labels on your app drawer like the stock LG home screen? I couldn't find this option. It's a shame because Launcher Pro really is much smoother.

Did you install any custom roms?
For me, i root the phone and install ClockworkMod to do a Nandbackup. Then install Titanium to do another set of apps backup and i DELETED all the LG bloatware i.e. SNS (LG FB & Twitter), Carhome, F-Secure and others LG apps. I think delete them is better than Freeze as it free up RAM.
And with Backup on titanium, you can always restore them back if you want to, and ultimately, you have nandbackup via clockworkmod where by you can simply revert back to everything original as it is before.
After i did the above, phone is much smoother and no restart nor crash. Note: i use LP instead of the laggy LG launcher.
Custom ROM is the way to go actually. After i did the above, i went further by flashing with Fear V8.0 ROM, then reapply LG Widget (love the calendar) and apply the battery icon modification. Fear V8.0 is a super fast ROM, i never encounter a single lag and everything is so zippy, infact, hyper-responsive! Even faster than stock 2.3.3 android with LP on my Nexus S.
The only draw back is the battery drain faster i.e. 8hrs overnight on wifi drain 16% - note that i got 1 exchange, 3 IMAP, Whatsapp, Evernote, Twitter & FB all turned on. But for me, i prefer to have a super phone and charge whenever i get to do so, then having to wait and experience the lag.
I'm currently on Juwes 5.0 ROM and use Launcher PRO as my home screen launcher.
I have noticed that TW Launcher is still running in the background and using quite alot of ram. Can I safely remove TW Launcher or will it mess up other parts of my phone that rely in it?

On stock rom I deleted it, no problem. I use ADW Launcher EX.
Same as the previous poster - I always remove TW Launcher and it's never caused a problem.
Cool thanks guys guess I will be removing it soon then.
What about the stock email and messaging apps? I don't use them either but I'm sure I remembered reading that if you remove one or both of them it will cause problems?

I use Go SMS and they recommend you don't remove the stock messaging app. Not sure about the email, but I've never found a reason to remove it.

Well a good reason to remove it would be because it shows up in osmonitor as using ram in the back ground even though I haven't used it ever!
I think its a shame that android isn't modular enough that these things maybe can't be removed or maybe it is samsungs doing because they never thought that anyone would want to use anything but their apps

Can't help you there, I use the stock email and messaging apps. But, one time after a flash, my mms apps was missing, and i didn't realize it immediately. I had no problem during theses few hours....
remove using titanium backup.. it can remove almost any system app..
I have removed it with Titanium on overcome 4.0, no problems..Using Go Launcher X..
What is the best way of backing up your home screen layouts esp if you want to try other custom ROMs. Normally i'd use Nova and it has a built in back up - what can i use for Sense? Which setting in TiBu will back it up? Or another third party app? Thanks!

Ok so with this how exactly is it supposed to work? Example: so i installed a custom ROM and then logged into my HTC account and chose my backup. Then it sort of slowly put the apps back - without me knowing when it would finish or if it was actually working in the background. It finally got to the homescreen layout and got it right except for one app.
Can it be done quicker and better through TiBu or another restore program?
Hello, I'm new to having a rooted phone and doing back ups. I was wondering if there a app or something in titanium that can backup your ringtones settings for your contacts and your home screen, app folders? I am trying out the EclipticONE-Revamped-Inverted DEODEX 3.8 and for some reason it won't let me use htc backup to restore my homescreen and app folder setup.

Thanks I'll look into it. It doesn't seem to be able to back up contacts or ringtones settings. Is there a app that can do this? I figured out how to backup contacts on titanium. I'm sorry if I sound like a noob, I'm trying to look things up and learning the stuff that goes with running a rooted phone.
I'm pretty sure TWRP/CWM backs up EVERYTHING. But you can't transfer that around from ROM to ROM.
You need not worry about contacts. Google backs that up for you.
When I used to be a flashaholic on my gs2, the only thing I would back up was doodle jump. I enjoyed having to toy with all the settings. Ringtones don't take so long to set up, do they?
Not really, I was just curious if there was a app that could do it. I'm trying out a few different roms to find one I like, so I figured I would ask just incase something like that was out there.
