right, for some reason i cannot get delivery reports for my SMS messages.
Firstly in message dettings, delivery reports box is ticked [both SMS and MMS].
I got this phone on contract with o2[uk]
Phone Info:
Model: GT-I9000
Firmware Version: 2.1-update1
Baseband version: I9000ADJF1
Kernel version: 2.6.29 [email protected] #2
Build Number: ECLAIR
now the weird part, i get my MMS delivery reports!
also my missis bought one of these [sim free, unlocked - it is an 'Orange' handset however]. using her T-Mobile Sim card gets delivery reports no problem.
any ideas?
Thanks Matt

Does the sms messages show as being sent on your phone or just showing up on the other peoples phone. And what is being sent just random stuff or previously written messages. Since you have a US phone I would load a US based build. But once you root your phone it doesn't matter if you use a US or UK build. Any build you download won't have the MyFav's app because it is a resource hog and is not needed. Hope that helps you some.
vodafone said my phone is sending messages after some browsing it seems like t mobile had made something that keep sending users internet usage to their servers either way i downgraded my phone tried with uk firmware it didn't work after some try did it with the US version it went so now i have to root it
I'd root then try Cyanogen's ROM. Don't forget to change the locale as well and any other settings (APN etc) for your mobile in the settings menu.
So I have a galaxy S vibrant SGH-T959. I recently updated to the leaked 2.2 and its awesome. So I was talking to a co-worker who has the galaxy S I9000 dxjg4 and he uses that on AT&T but he'd like to get some 2.2 action on it. I wasn't aware of the various different I9000's there were until today, I just thought there was the 4 for the US carriers and the I9000 for everyone else.
What can I load on his phone? Are the ROMs mostly compatible between all the I9000s or are they just as different as one for a vibrant vs his phone?
What is different between all those i9000 models, is each one for a specific carrier? Is there a universal unlocked one that isn't tied to any carrier?
If I wanted to get an I9000, is there any specific one that's the "good" one to get? gets the fastest updates, etc? Where would you even pickup one of those? Do they have a model that does 3g on both Tmobile and AT&T?
Thanks,
-J
No dice? Someone has to at least be able to answer SOME of these questions? Where did you guys get your galaxy S i9000s? Some internet site?
The t-mobile galaxy s vibrant you have doesn't have a front Facing camera and uses a different radio chip to support the 1700 (AWS) frequency that t-mo uses.
The international galaxy s I9000 has front facing camera, fm radio support and uses the standard international frequency.
The Bell (Canadian) galaxy s vibrant (I9000M) is same as the international one except the radio is change to support the North American carriers (850 frequency instead of 900).

Greetings and a Merry Xmas to those that celebrate the holiday!
As a new owner of a SGS I was hoping someone could assist in identifying my particular model and if the Froyo OS update is available for it. KIES was not any help, says this model already has the most current version.
Phone info:
MODEL: GT-I9000T
PDA: I9000TUBJG5
PHONE: I9000TUBJG7
CSC: I9000TUUBJG4
FIRMWARE VERSION : 2.1-update1
Baseband version I9000TUBJG7
Kernel version: 2.6.29 [email protected] #2
Build number: ECLAIR.UBJG5
Again, thanks to any who respond.
recommend you search around and flash to jpy..then flash either the jp2 or jl3 (part of canadian jl2 firmware) modem all in odin.. then do factory reset... then you may have to use sgs info to make sure 850 mhz 3g is enabled..

I invite you to read this post

I am having an SMS time stamp issue with my phone. All incoming messaged are stamped -5 hours from local time but outgoing is local normal. The problem with this for me is that my messages are organised by date stamp and this really messes with the chat order.
Anybody have any clue as to what is going on?
P.S. I am on the Rogers network with a Bell Canada Galaxy S Vibrant.
Model number: GT-I9000M
Firmware version: 2.2
Baseband version: I9000UGJL2 (Is this what the JL2 is?)
Kernel version: 2.6.32.9 SOK 4_6_8 1128
Build number: assARMS.UGL2.v0.3 (Is this the ROM currently installed?)
I have this same issue now - I just re flashed my wife's phone and now the time stamp is wrong
Has anyone fixed this issue?
So I buy and sell phones, unlock them first etc then resell. I got one today from an AT&T rep, which he didn't tell me, I found out by other means. I am just curious if maybe ATT exmployees could have access to an official FroYo 2.2 update that we consumers don't, so I figured I'd post the info form about phone here. Also, if he knew how to flash romsm why the glitchy horrid unofficial version and not some cool amazing rom based on froyo from XDA ? It may be nothing but the un official update. Anyone who might know how to verify more or whatever, let me know. I want to know before I sell it up the river

JI6 was the Leaked froyo build. It's pretty old.
Excellent thanks, solved!
Moved to Q&A as not android development
As the title states, I cannot make any calls neither can I receive calls. When making calls, "call ended" appears instantly after pressing the call button. Sms are fine. I have tried changing my baseband from Australia firmware to Singapore firmware to no avail. Here are some of the details:
Carrier: Singapore starhub
Rom: venom note v1.4
Kernel: skyhigh
Baseband: AOJ3
Please let me know if any other information is needed!

Sounds like you might have firmware mismatch. But only guessing because you haven't provided a great deal.
Please post your Synapse INFO page (no serial number).
I would also suggest for you to update your base firmware to the LATEST (via Odin) to ensure you have matching ROM, bootloader, modem and kernel working together. Once your up and running, then try experiment with ROM if you must
Thanks for your advice! My phone just magically started functioning this afternoon and I have no idea why. And unfortunately I cannot post my info page due to the 10 posts restriction : (
Here are my baseband and bootloader versions:
Baseband: AOJ3
Bootloader: AOL2

Could have been just a provider issue too.
Very possible indeed. However I just cannot understand how other services like sms are working.
Well i just figured out why: i am not supposed to select lte only in system settings, instead gsm/wcda/lte should be selected. Kind of weird since the default setting is lte only
