[Q] Buzzing Sound During Music Playback While Plugged into PC? - Galaxy S I9000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

just noticed that if i play music while the phone is plugged into pc, i get small buzzing/screeching noise in the background (not sure if i get while plugged to power).
This is better identified if i press pause during a song or set volume to zero.
The buzz noise disappears after a few moments if it remains on pause.
This does not happen when unplugged (obviously).
Does anyone else have similar problems?

sounds like you have a ground loop problem, try plugging your phone in another computer and in the wall and see what happens. it may not be your phone.
let me know what happens.

[Q] Music Player Starts Unexpextedly...Anyone else having this problem?

Greetings everyone!
I recently purchased a Samsung i9000m with Bell Canada. Thankfully I have not had any major problems with the phone, but there is one large annoyance I have discovered: Whenever the headphones are plugged in, pressing the button on the headphones cord starts the Music Player app. Additionally, removing the headphones also starts the Music Player app. Has anyone else experienced this behaviour from their phone? Is there a way to stop this irritating "feature"?
My phone is currently all stock/not rooted, except that I recently upgraded the firmware to JH2 (this behaviour also existed on the previous firmware).
Many thanks in advance,
Matt
The first feature is intentional. ( Why else would you press the button again? )
I don't get the second. ( It does pause when I pull it out, and it starts playing if I have that setting on, when I put it in. )
Thanks for the reply.
I'm not sure I was clear. Anytime the music player isn't running (i.e. after turning on the device), unplugging the headphones will load the music player. Similarly, pressing the button on the headphones (i.e. to answer an incoming call while I'm driving my car) will also start the music player!
Basically I want the music player to only load when I choose it from the apps page or home screen...I almost liken it to a weird version of "autoplay" from windows computers...I wish there was a way to turn it off with a simple check-box!
Can confirm that unplugging any cable from the headphone plug will open the music player app.

Well that makes two of us....I guess that means I'm not imagining things!
Doesn´t open Musicplayer when plug out the headsetcable on my SGS. Maybe you have any other music player widget or app installed?
I saw that also. Better yet, even killing the app with autokiller, adter a few seconds... there she was again playing.
I was in transit that tine and could not investigate the problem. Didn't use musicplayer much lately so don't know if the problem still exists.
For me the trigger was the headset button. Click that sucker and you have an annyoing Musicplayer that returns from the deads.
yeah very annoying. i was just testing the tv out and it still starts it when unplugging the cable.
Just a FYI.
You'll get the same effect when using a Bluetooth Stereo headset
1 tap to wake up the phone
2 tap to launch the music player
double fast tap to skip to the next song
1 tap long hold to call last number dialed
... and there are more tricks, but that's usually what i do

[Q] Headphones play out one side only when unplugging and plugging back in.

Sometimes when I unplug and plug back in the headphones, only one side will play out. I have to reboot the the device in order to get it working correctly again. Anyone is having this issue??
You tried different headphones? Usually when the plug on these starts to go bad this is the kind of stuff that happens.

Headphone / speaker bug

Has anyone else encountered this? Sometimes if I plug headphones in and listen to music, then unplug the headphones afterwards, then the speaker would not work. I would have to plug my headphones in again, pull them out, and the speaker would work again. It's almost as if the phone thinks headphones are plugged in even when they are not, and routes the music to the headphone jack instead of to the speaker.

I don't have this issue with the Z3C though i had this issue with my old Xperia S, after couple of months use this resolved it self. must have been a contact point issue in the headphone jack it self.
Diferent
What has happened to me is different, when I'm listening to music on the earphones and then I stop the music and close the Walkman app, and then I play it again I can't listen to anything, If I use the volume controls to turn up/down the volume nothing changes, and I need to unplug the earphones and then plug them in and it works fine then.
I don´t know why this is happening.
Sorry for my bad english

Have we figured out how to eliminate volume warning yet?

Not only the volume warning but I'd also like to figure out how to have my all of my bluetooth devices not go down in volume when I'm playing music just to make the stupid notification sound or text sound or charger plug in sound. Like every time I plug in the charger it seems like a 4 second pause in music just to make the stupid noise.
Same here
I can live with the volume warning -- it's the reduced volume via bluetooth and plugin headsets that's driving me crazy. Galaxy S6, and I could swear it was working okay for a while, then the volume just dropped off via bluetooth. Plugged in my favorite headset and same problem. Maybe I'm wrong about that part: my old LG 41C delivers several times the volume, and this is totally unacceptable. Anybody know a fix?

Phone Call Management affecting "Headset is plugged in"

I am having a problem with Phone Call Management re-detecting Headset is Plugged In, so it stop the music playing everytime. It's very random how it happens.
How can I fix this?
I am on NagasakiROM

I installed another ROM and it's working.
The original ROM also has this problem on both my Single and Dual SIM.
