Team Black Hat has released an app in Market with a new Tranquility and a Deodexed updated Froyo. You can download such as Rom Manager from within the app.
I downloaded but I am going to wait on a changelog before I flash it.

Well...I downloaded the latest tranquility and the version says FlyX.01 Final and the android versionis pre leak 13.
Downloaded the app and the latest Tranq release since I had a few issues with the last one. This one feels better to me than the previous. Wonder what they changed.

Are you sure you downloaded 2.3.5 RC? Or it installed correctly?
I just installed successfully. Still on 2.3.13.
Don't see any differences so far. I am curious about the changes too.
Edit: Just noticed Froyo 2.3.15 there. Downloading now!

Oooooh a new leak! Let us know if you notice anything new.
Ok, Froyo 2.3.15 and Tranquility 2.3.5rc installed smoothly, but when I tried applying Onix Gala X theme from ROM Manager, I got stuck at the M logo. Battery pull solved the issue. So I'll try applying the theme manually.
I haven't noticed anything new so far from the short time I spent browsing around the phone. I'm dying to see the change logs lol!
Edit: manually installing Gala X theme worked =)
Edit2: I'm not sure if it was true for 2.3.13, but in this one Flash shows up in the Market.
In the market for 2.3.13 too, noticed it today .

Yes... that is exactly what I did.
Okay... Not trying to sound like an ass but this has been eating away at me for a good twelve hours or so....
You are paying for an app. Cool idea in my opinion.
You are also paying for access to mods. Not unheard of.(supporting is good)
Lots of hype for access to something no one else has.
Using the hype to, in a way, make people donate for your work that is kind of iffy. I like what those guys are trying to do but I do not like how they are doing it. I just can't quite hit on the point I am trying to make but I feel something scetchy is going on here. Thus, I go back to... Paying for an app that creates access to what they are making. Cool idea in my opinion.
God I hope I don't get flamed to hard for this.... Trying hard not to be a Debbie Downer.
Those that are satisfied with the Tranquility roms will likely donate. Although I do believe the leak itself should be available to the general public.

We should post QR Codes when mentioning an app in the market. Also, please check your grammar, sucks trying to figure out what you meant when typos happen.

I understood what he said just fine.
Dude I understand you have your opinion, but if you don't want to support, then you may just have to wait for someone else to find a leak source in one of the MOST locked down firmware arenas for android, TBH is doing an amazing job! THREE 2.2 updates before motosuck released its first!? They deserve the two bucks for the app. Mind you this is coming from a person who has only purchased one app for his droid x; the one we are talking about. Besides with all the C&D motosuck has been throwing around this is a resonable alternative to insure we get the content we want. OH! And not to mention tranquility is one of the best alternatives to motoblur out right now, $2 seems like a VERY small price to pay for no hassle dl's and quick update potential. Thank you again Team Black Hat for all the hard work! I see kernel's in the near future.... Wahoo!

So instead of charging for something that might possibly be construed as _his_ work, he's really just charging for Motorola's software that he paid someone to steal from them. Classy move.

This just appeared on the Team Black Hat app. I'll post a change log when one appears. In the mean time, has anyone give this new build a run? Please post impressions.
Waiting to see if it's alright to use over top of 2.2 OTA....

If I had to guess.. I'd say that P3Droid got his hands on the software going out for the R2D2 edition Droid 2.

Is the Droid 2 using the same kernel as the X?
Oh yea I see this in the TBH app now. Wonder what it will bring. Any idea how big the file is? I have no wifi so I'll have to wait.
just flashed it over the leak froyo no wipe, new boot animation so far
and live wallpapers that work flawlessly, quadrant bench mark still around 1490 as what i was getting with the leak froyo.
I'd like to know if it's simply a theme or if it's an entire ROM. If so, I'd like to know if it includes an updated Kernal over the 2.3.15 leak.

exactly. In response to a previous post, I can "guess" too. But I'd much rather have information posted since this is sort of like a "newslike" thread.
There's no point reposting something from one forum into another if you're not going to have at LEAST as much information as your source, or links.
there are reports of Swype not working in this build.

Agreed.
Just flashed it and no real changes.
Only thing changed is:
R2D2 boot animation.
4 Star Wars live wallpapers.
Star wars clock.
And some mild themeing, such as default contact icon is Cee3po...or however u spell that.
Star Wars Binoculars app...kinda a game I guess....although pointless...
And that's it....everything else is the exact same as 23.13 and 23.15...
No incentive there, unless ur a fanboy.

Hmmm, well if I am gonna have to wipe for this I may as well SBF back and get the official OTA.
Seems pretty decent so far. My linpak and quadrant scores are even with what I was getting with the OTA after getting rid of some bloat. Calendar fix hasn't fixed my sync issue yet. Any idea why when I post my scores to linpak my notes show build 2.2.20? I'm not familiar with that particular version. Phone info shows 2.3.15 as it should but this is obviously not built off the official 2.2 as I've notice certain things change back to leak versions.
I'll give this rom a few days but I'm probably heading back to the OTA.
Can someone share the stock backup assistant apk with me? I'm lazy enough that I was just using that instead of a3rd party app so now I'm missing a HUGE chunk of my contacts. If it can't be used on this rom I'm doingan sbf right away when I get home.

Why would you want the OTA? There is nothing magical about it, except Moto decided to lock the system down some more with new Bootloader keys.

There is in fact a difference. Newer Baseband and New Kernel which results in better performance. These two objects were left out of the leak for fear of it leading back to the leaker.

and when I click on the download link, I noticed the download is coming from ninebysix.com, which is jake days website.
Flashed it. It's pretty damn fast. Perhaps this is Jake's reconciliation.
Fast is true and easy to install when following directions. The one thing that is strange and wondering if anyone else is experiencing.
I keep getting FC when trying to access my calendar. Yes I am trying to access my google calendars with default calendar program and even Jorte.
Anyone else?
Perhaps ideas for me?

Happened to me...flash the rom zip following the instructions. Reboot the phone. Then bootstrap and reboot back into recovery and flash the calendarfix zip from page 7 of this thread: http://www.droidxforums.com/forum/droid-x-roms/8428-rom-rubix-focused-0-3-a-7.html
I had this instaled but could'nt get google maps to work so I went back to flyx rom. The market is stuck downloading google maps I hit cancel and it has force closed
Sent from my DROIDX using XDA App
I also had some FC problems. It FC's everytime you try to stop a download in the market. It FC's every time you click on the battery manager to see what's sucking juice and it FC'd when messing around with the Calendar.
Because of those reasons, plus not being any faster than I had gotten my OTA after bloatware removal and some build.prop tweaks, not being able to use Backup Assistant (losing 80% of my contacts) and the fact that I actually like the native 2.2 txt app led me back to my OTA 2.2 through the nandroid backup I made before installing rubiX.
This is one I will definitely keep an eye on and will be testing in further revisions, but it's not where I want a rom to be right now.
I appreciate all the hard work that went into it but it's just not for me right now.

I'm Derek Rodriguez (thats my full name), and have honestly barely conversed with jake. He was nice enough to let me host my files through his ftp alongside with Boostdscoob (dominator/eliminator roms for d1) when we were collaborating for roms, and still lets me. Jake is a great guy from what I know of him, and makes pretty bad ass kernels.
It's hosted there, as well as alldroid, and androiddoes.net.
arlan_jacob, a reboot might of fixed it. I chose not to include market apps with how fast updates have been coming out lately, didn't wanna leave any behind and people not able to update correctly. Sorry about the issue, I'll make an update.zip with the market apps included if it'd help out.

What does OFFICIAL SUPPORT mean?
LEARN BY CLICKING
An Excerpt from that link above for the lazy ones:
An “official” CyanogenMod version is one that uses our code review system, our source repository, and our mirror network. It should look, act, and feel like CM on any other device, and more importantly, it should follow our release schedules (which is a “when it’s ready” kind of thing, but we do plan our final/RC releases when we feel it’s ready). Most importantly, no major hardware functionality should be broken.

So yeah, a fully functional (expect some bugs of course, initial release) Gingerbread built from AOSP AND injected with CM7 goodness.
Per the tweets, all hardware should work.
Nightly builds will be up on Rom Manager!!
I would also expect a ton of NEW roms to be based off CM7 and a ton of new themes...

What about GPS?
There have been reports of it working. We do not know this to be true though, and I do not mind that.
Expect for it not to work.... if it does, gravy boat!
WHO TO THANK??
@atinm (He would appreciate it if you became an organ donor - someone saved his life because they were)
@codeworkx
@dumdidum &
@guiperpt
THANK THEM for making the Galaxy line officially supported by CyanogenMod.
We owe these guys, big time.
HERE IS THEIR PAYPAL LINK
Also, @Koush (Rom Manager) has been doing a TON to get this up and running. Let him know you appreciate it.
You may not NEED it, but get the premium version of Rom Manager to show some support.
Now, go thank those guys...
EDIT 5/19/11 4:30
INITIAL INSTALL GUIDE
Perhaps there is an easier way, I did this while sitting at a copy machine bored AND it worked flawlessly for me.
Okay, I used this DOWNLOAD LINK (same as above)
moved it to internal sd after backing everything up
rebooted into CWR (I was on Trigger)
Do a nandroid backup (if you like)
I wiped (factory/data/dalvik)
installed... let it do its thing... several reboots (NORMAL)
Once done, I watched the beauty of the boot screen.
I then let it sit....
went into Rom Manager to Download Rom...
told it I already had CWR installed, selected the "CWR 3. " option...
selected the latest google apps, downloaded, unchecked any wiping options and let it do its thing
next reboot, signed in and I am good to go.

#GalaxyS, #Captivate, #Vibrant will be shown as galaxysmtd, captivatemtd and vibrantmtd on http://download.cyanogenmod.com/
So check there guys, i can't find it, but yeah...
@people on about the GPS and ****..
Here's something 1 person asked Atinm...
@atinm how is #vibrant done if the gps isn't working yet? Or are we in for a surprise?
reply?
@tmosto Going to mainline in no way means bug free. It just means that development will now be done on CM repositories.
Just because it's official does not mean gps will work... a huge step though.
captivatemtd is there
Well, I will be a guinea pig. I am putting it on my vibrant ASAP!
What do you guys think, does our lowly HeroC have what it takes? Also, even if it does, do we have the devs left to get it going? Sorry...I'm all geeked up for the announcement tonight. Plus, I'm not due for an upgrade until March...eek!

And, also.. please move this to the Q/A or General section.
Sorry. Will do once I'm on my pc. Not sure I can move it from xda app.
Also, I'm hoping for some official cm8 love or something along those lines.
Eventually!? At least I hope we do.

That would be awesome if it did but i believe that you can do it seeing that you got other things working like HC and Sense 3.5.
I know this is in the wrong section. Anyone tell me how to move it to general? Just thought I would see who else was psyched for ICS like me.

We probably have to wait till a low end device comes out running it, or it gets ported to a similar device, like we had to wait for the Pico. Only time will tell. . .

Man i know you can get it to work You done some pretty amazing stuff on here and if you cant maybe you can get Jaybob to help you or something
with the navigation buttons at the bottom, it might be a little cramped. sure we can change the dpi to like 120 but my phone lags when i try to make everything smaller and fit more on the screen.
Or if the navigation buttons can be removed... who knows. Of course even cramped ICS would be great on our Heroes.
Im almost positive we will get some sort of port of ICS. Ever since froyo the companies have been saying that the hero simply can not handel the new updates because of minimal system requirements. However I red an article with a Q&A about ICS, and one of the questions was what are the minimal system requirements for ICS? The anser was none that i can think of right now. ICS is meant to bring Android tablets and phones toghether in developmental terms. Google is trying to unify android, rather than have phones rounning one type of android and tablets another. It has even been said that ICS will be available for older devices of up to one year old or so. But in closeing im prety optimistic about a port for the Hero, and probably sooner than latter.
Considering that our devs got the source now I'm sure were gona see ICS can't wait

I downloaded the beta version of ICS for hero to see how it looks and feels it"s a little buggy it has some things that need to be worked out like not being able to pair with bluetooth device and bluetooth turning off completely and not being able to turn it back on again... Also when trying to turn on wifi hotspot the phone just hangs there saying turning on wifi screen I let it run for 5 minutes before I rebooted my phone... This rom is in early stages of devoplement and if and when the stuff that isn't working gets fixed I see this as my next rom of choice... Nice work jaybob on a job will done and a million thanks to you...
