Does anyone have a way to change the analog clock to digital?
Thanks
solution
Hi.! Yes,there is a possibility for this...firstly, you must download the :"Manila 2D customizer" from a link reported in the "hacking & developement" section of this site (see on top of the main page), and install it on the Opal..after, also in this forum's section, you can find a lot of Skins..Clocks, icons etc...so, when you have find and choose it, download the.zip file that you want, and copy it in the "theme" folder (collocated where there is installed the application; you will find a folder with this name) and after, open this application. secondly you should make a backup of the original theme installed by HTC (this application allow you to do this action. Check the last tab) in case you want return back of the original status..after that, you can go on the step 3: return on the "Theme" section, select the name of file that you have copied and click on "Apply theme" and wait...during the installation the program will ask you if you don't want make the changing also for Weather tab and another point..don't make a tick on this two point, and press continue...finally the TouchFlo will restart automatically, and this procedure permise you to change the skins without soft reset the PDA!
In addiction to this operation, you can change a lot of other parameters as: colors & fonts of tabs, browser internet, the parameters of the main page (ex. if you don't want the analog clock, on the digital clock) etcc...
good luck.!!

Thank you for your help
Thank you very much for the detailed instructions. Will try it out over the weekend.
It "almost" Worked. Thanks for detailed instructions.
However, The digital and analog clocks both appear. If I disable the analog clock, the layout of the digital clock is totally disturbed and its useless.
any idea why?
instructions
yes i've an idea...have you downloaded the Van_de_bosh clock.? if yes, firstly you should modify manually the HTChomesetting.xml in the Windows folder of Opal..(so connect it on the PC, see and click on top bar of the PC folder Utilties -> folder option-> select the Visualization tab and after click on "show folder's and hide's folders", then apply). secondly enter in the Windows folder in PDA (wait if is slowly the loading, don't worry the PC can appear freeze for a few second, but don't close the folder)..after serch the "HTChomesetting.xml" and copy it on the desktop..So open the .zip and here you probabily find a .txt file. open it. after you will see some strings that you will copy into the file on desktop..when you have finish all steps, take this "HTChomesetting.xml" and replice the old file into the .zip..after try to install this skin package on PDA i know, is quite difficult but , when you have understand the procedure all become simply
If you have problems contact me
Thanks for the reply. However, I just found an updated version of M2DC which "fixed" the bug with digital clock placement. I tried it, and yes, it works like a charm

I opened in manilla editor then export to PNG and edit in Photoshop but now how do i get them back in the manilla editor? and i need to know how to backup my originals?..i have a sprint htc touch pro rom ver. 1.03 which i think is irrelevant but whatever..Thanks for the help in advance!

first if your manila is cooked in your original files will be there on the device if you delete the modified file, but if you want copy all files in windows with manila ext. to a folder on pc to back up. Next, just go to the original file you modded using manila editor and choose to replace it, choose directory your modded image is in and replace. beware though some images in sprint and att tf3d are a little tricky.
do you knwo which manila file is the the email background?

on your computer, goto control panel, folder options, from there unselect "hide operating system files" or "hide protected files" and you will be able to see the windows folder on your phone
Just found on o2online.de ... and it's newer as the official HTC german firmware (1.56.407.2) but with old radio
go to http://portal.o2online.de/nw/support/downloads/software/xda/htctouch/index.html
hmm but no changelog available i guess!?
Improved functions and fixes, you can find here... http://www.htc.com/hk-en/SupportDownload.aspx?p_id=179&cat=2&dl_id=547
It's ROM version 1.57 - 207 means only provider firmware german (407)
so what is new in this ROM
O2 version
and
HTC Version
with this rom my acu is over night empty i trie today a english rom!
I have just noticed this thread.
Can anyone using this ROM confirm that the O2 homezone indicator is working with the HSDPA icon?
Regards
K_Hismoom
EDIT: I tested it myself and it finally works!
I will extract the necessary files and make a cab for use with other ROMs.
Now, as promised, here is the updated CAB for the O2 homezone indicator, confirmed to work on Dutty's WM6.5 R9, but it should work on every other ROM as well.
This version has been modified to work on all locales.
Necessary registry keys have been modified in the inf to reflect the new version number.
Note, that it displays the homezone image only on the TouchFLO 3D homescreen, so if you disable TF3D you will no longer see it.
To customize the appearance you can do the following:
- The file 6b3eaf1e_manila - found in \Windows - is the little "house" image, in QTC format, you can change this to whatever you like
- This version now displays the word "home" next to the homezone image. This is configured in the registry. Change the value of key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\HTC\HZI\Tag to whatever you want - even an empty string, if you want nothing displayed. TF3D will update this immediately without a restart. -- DOES NOT WORK, it will be reset to "home" when the homescreen is updated.
What you could do is modify the file 1bf4fdc4_manila, which is the lua script that controls the homezone image and text. All you need to do is convert it to ascii, decompile, modify the line
HomeZone.String = Operator_machineStatus.O2HomeZoneString.Value
to
HomeZone.String = "<Your Text>"
recompile it and convert back to unicode. You can find the necessary tools at http://winmo.sztupy.hu
Hope you like it.

I´ve read about the option, to change the font of TF3D. There was a zip-file with 4 fontfiles inside, all of them i have copied to the windows folder instead of \windows\fonts, because on my device there isn´t such a folder. After doing a softreset my TF3D has changed its font. But when i try to delete this files, it doesn´t work. Not by the file-explorer on the device and not by the explorer of the pc when connected using ActiveSync.
Is there a way to delete this fontfiles, so that the TF3D changes its font to the old one ?
Another question : How can i change the fontsize of TF3D-Font ? The calender on the home screen is a little bit too small.
Thanks.
Disable TF3D then reset and try to delete the file.
No, it doesn´t work. The files cannot be deleted.
Maybe i should let them on the device, by the next hard reset they will be deleted anyway
Hello
i have spent the last 4 days trying every combination to get slideview working on my x1. and to no avail
I tried countless different files and different ways to download then in order and different tutorials.
I cant do it.
PLease can some1 help with a cab file or better instructions
p.s i am using 826x series rom with sense
I have no problems loading the panel manager and having it mapped to x button and with every single panel working along with the new android NEOFROYO
I am not new to this rom flashing and such but I just can't get this working no matter what i have tried.
please help me!
seriously no1 knows how
try following the steps and you will come to the same roadblocks as me
please help
i am trying to port the 2 registry files 1.Discretix DRM.reg and 2.xperia drm.reg
i am using sktool registry editor to import
when I try to import 1.Discretix DRM.reg my x1 reboots
when i import 2.xperia drm.reg the screen pops up a little box and says ported 1
is my x1 suppose to reboot itself on the first reg file?
AM I SUPPOSE TO COPY ALL 88 CAB FILES TO MY x1???????????
I AM ONLY COPYING THE DEPENDENCIES CAB FILES....... is that the problem?
WHAT DOES DEPENDENCIES MEAN???????
COULD IT BE THE ROM I AM USING?
I HAVE GOTTEN X2 PANEL MANAGER WORKING WITH ALL PANELS ON MY X1
JUST NOT SLIDEVIEW
I AM USING DIFFERENT PANEL MANAGER I FOUND ELSEWHERE AND IT WORKS FLAWLESSLY
So slideview still does not show up on my x1 with me doing the following
Heres a list of what i am doing
1st way:
ive downloaded and tried both the sixth release and fourth release files and the original release files as some of the files are missing in the 4th and 6th release.
I've tried this way of installing with both the original release and the files from the 6th release DID NOT WORK EITHER WAY!
Dependencies:
12_SEUS DRMWhiteList
15_Extra Fonts
2_Awox mediaCTRL
28_OEMNotif
42_SlideView Plugins
47_SlideView (of course )
64_Sony Ericsson XpFramework
65_PlayNow (sometimes it can't install, skip it)
70_EmzFilters
88_SlideViewDisableErrorMessage
DRMClient (!). Download, copy .zip contents to \Windows\ manually (using Resco Explorer, ...), apply *.regs.
Thanks to NighPlayer32
DRMClient is MUST-HAVE!
Then I have tried again both the original release and then tried the 6th release files to this tutorial in succession
DID NOT WORK EITHER WAY!
2nd way:
install panel manager R3AA :
1. install sdkcert
2. install panel manager R3AA
3. copy xpengine.dll to folder panelmanager
4. install PMLauncher
5. install Xkeyhandler
6. install X2PM
7. install activeXdeployment
8. install flashpanelAndMMIInstall
9. tilewave panel
install slideview
12_SEUS DRMWhiteList
15_Extra Fonts
2_Awox mediaCTRL
28_OEMNotif
42_SlideView Plugins
47_SlideView (of course )
64_Sony Ericsson XpFramework
65_PlayNow (sometimes it can't install, skip it)
70_EmzFilters
88_SlideViewDisableErrorMessage
then copy DRM client content \Windows\ and apply *.regs.
restart
i found this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=607465&page=2
and i think it might help you...(see the last post on this page)
now (if it helped or if you want) please upload a zip with all panels on rapidshare or megaupload, or anywhere as soon as possible...(and -obviously- post a link to them)
(sorry for any mistake)
greetings from Romania....
thanks but if you notice my post i do add that cab file thanks
Here you are: first install slideview next copy all the files with DRM HTC + X2 to windows/ next install fdc task manager and import xperia drm.reg then Discretix DRM.reg at the end restart your phone if it will not work download rom: lix-X2 v1 and extract from it SlideView.cab - older versions for 6.1
P.S. Sorry for my bad English
I GIVE UP!
everything i tried has failed
thanks
p.s i think its because it only works on a winmo 6.1 and not winmo 6.5 or 6.5.x
i am only guessing here
SlideView works without problem on 6.5 and 6.5.x look at XPure ROM
oh
sorry i was wrong then
that is the only place i have been able to use it
I had that rom with tf3d
then i found 826x and like that better i loaded panel manager and all the panels and they are working flawlessly
the only thing that wont work is slideview
