Problem with multiple Email accounts - Captivate Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Guys,
I recently started using a 2nd corporate email on my phone - using the captivate.s stock email client. It worked ok fire a few days. One day, I opened the email app, and there were no accounts there. Both the accounts were gone. I
went ahead and recreated the accounts, and a few days later same thing happened again. Very annoying. Anyone seen this before?
I didn't have any issues when I was using it with only 1 account. The 2nd corporate account I added requires a password on the device, not sure if that can cause anything.

[Q] Bionic Email Sync Question

New Bionic owner here. Loving the phone! Coming from many other droids.... most recent the Atrix 4G w/AT&T. Never had the following problem before:
I use Exchange. I have no need for my email to be pushed to me, or for any kind of automatic fetching. So, just as with many other devices before, I've turned off push and I've set fetch to manual. YET, my email continues to be pushed to me automatically as if push was turned on. Can't seem to figure out what I might be missing.
Any thoughts?

Under email settings> email delivery> data push make sure the correct account does not have a check next to it. If that isn't it I would delete the account and start again. Is the account exchange, pop3, etc.?

The problem definitely seems to be with the folder sync options under email delivery. The inbox does not give an option for "manual"... only "background". Im thinking of deleting the account and installing fresh.
When you set up the account did you use corporate sync or email?

Im not sure.... is there a difference?
Can you tell me if there is a difference between setting up my Exchange email through the corporate sync method versus through the email app settings? I want to wipe the account off of my phone & start from scratch, so I need to know if there is a difference between the two methods. Thanks!

[Q] HTC Watch App

Anyone had any luck with logging in with it?
I can't log in (i assume its just the same as my htc account), wont send a new password to my account, nor will it let me create an account because it says one is in use.
I had the same problem. Ended up logging in to my HTC account online, deleting it, then setting up from fresh through the phone.
Don't know why I couldn't get the original account to work though?

HTC have tweeted me to say it takes a while for it to come through. if it doesnt come through by tomorrow morning i guess its what i';ll have to do.
No email arrived at all, HTC_Uk twitter account told me to contact support. Support tried to resend email, that didn't work either, been escalated to a removal of HTC Watch account and to start all over again.
Exactly what happened to me. In the end took 5 days for the reset email to turn up, but had already deleted and set up new account 4 days before lol

where did you find the option to delete your account?
Found it,never mind! Account successfully re-created with exactly the same details, how odd.

Yahoo mail problem

I am reading my Yahoo mails via standard HTC Mail app. Is anyone else having problems with Yahoo! email lately? Mine stopped syncing 4 days ago. Looks like it is server side issue. Clearing data, etc, only syncs it up till 21st. No newer mails is available.
I have two accounts, and both work at this moment. (as always)
I got a email that there was suspicious activity from my yahoo account and it was locked
" At Yahoo!, your*account safety is our top priority.
*
Recently, we have detected some unusual activity on your account and as a result, we've temporarily locked it for your protection. You may unlock your account immediately by logging in on a PC. "

Thanks, this is something else. Apparently another folder syncs fine. The main inbox does not. Access via mobile yahoo website works too.
Does anybody have more than 1500 mails in the inbox and is it still working?

Figured it out myself. This was happening due to the number of emails or the total size. After a cleanup it started working again. Still wacky.
I'd expect at least some warning.

Been having issues with Yahoo app for a couple months. Always seems to be server or sync type issues. I send probably 5 feedbacks a week.

I'm having an issue with email sync. In the email app, one of my email accounts will sync for a few days then just stop syncing. I don't notice it until it dawns on me that I haven't gotten new email in a while. It won't let me manually sync either. At the top, the last sync date will remain static showing a few days ago. I've deleted the account and then set it up again twice and that works for a few days, then it fails again. This is an old verizon.net account that I've never had issues with on any other device. Any thoughts?

Mine was acting up this morning, I just rebooted, and I was able to sync again.
Not sure if that will help, or if you have tried that, but that has helped me.

Oh yeah, well past that. I've rebooted, unchecked and rechecked the sync box, messed with the sync settings... the only thing that seems to work is deleting the account and adding it back..

With which email provider are you having trouble? Is it Verizon as well? (hoping that we can at least narrow down the problem...)

I run 4 separate email accounts (POP, IMAP, and Exchange, but not Verizon) and don't have any problems. The only thing I can think of that hasn't already been suggested is to clear the cache and/or data for the email app in the application manager. If this is an Exchange account clear the data/cache for the Exchange services app also.
I had an issue with the stock e-mail app not syncing properly with gmail. New e-mails would come in, but old ones that were read would not be marked as read. As such it had over 50 unread e-mails even though the gmail app or gmail website had 2 or 3.
I switched to K-9 Mail which works much better.

I think I'm going to have to end up running another email app as well.
That leads me to another quandary. K-9 won't do hotmail. Mailbox and Cloud Magic won't do anything but gmail and iCloud. I need to find something that can handle a hotmail (IMAP I think) account, a verizon POP3 account, and a Gmail account. Any thoughts?

Where I work, we have 5 Galaxy S5's and we have all experienced this issue. One of my users has it happen every Tuesday. This is only with the stock email app. Other apps seem fine, but that's ridiculous....it shouldn't be doing this.

Exchange constantly force closing

Hi guys,
I have an AT&T N6 and I'm trying to get my company exchange account setup on it. I'm able to successfully but when it goes to sync it just constantly force closes. Anyone else seen this?

Same problem here, Gmail started a crash report after trying to sync-loop like crazy with exchange, I had to use "Nine - Exchange ActiveSync" which fortunately works fine (I was using that app with my previous phone).
Nine is pretty awesome..... Just wish stock one would work to have everything in one spot. Oh well, I'm sure it will get fixed soon. At least I hope ?

I received a gmail update yesterday, and now it' works fine, but I went back to nine because the gmail app doesn't have a unified inbox folder (I have a lot of folders in my exchange email lol)
What version of Exchange are you connecting to?
I have two Office 365 Exchange accounts on my phone, no bubbles no troubles.
you asked OP or me? , I am very sure that's in my case it's exchange 2010 (since I'm the server admin...)
anyways with the new Gmail, ver 5.0.1 (1618411), it's works fine and doesn't "force close-crash-loop" anymore.

Had the same issue and switched to Nine. Now that it's fixed I don't think I'm going back. Nine is just so much better.
I had this same issues with my nexus the other night. Constantly force closed. Got so bad the power button and screen were unresponsive.
