Hi,
I am looking for the Desire HD a similar program as Zoomer for the HD2(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=585284 )
Zooomer enables "pinch to zoom" in the programs you want.
Any suggestion?

Yes , I don't see how I can pinch to zoom in many programs (like for example
in messages ) except when viewing pictures.

What app are you using to view pictures? The built in gallery app supports pinch-to-zoom just fine...
The OP needs an application that does pinch-to-zoom in every application. Like Messaging, etc. Not just the gallery/browser..
I looked a bit around, I really couldn't find anything similar for android.
would be very useful an application similar to pinch to zoom but there is no in the market.
it is so difficult to create;
I need too, but i cannot to find, why??? it's so difficult to create?
please somebody can to make?

Thank you so much
i will to try it..............but i will wait for pinch to zoom
i hope you guys are all groaning and this will probably get ignored like the rest of them, and i know the outlook is grim.
but i will do it anyway
- so there aren't any good photo galleries for Aosp other than gallery3d and gallery 2d
- while i understand that we need the sense framework to run it i am still not totally convinced it cant be done
judging by this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=679707
and also that we were able to get the htc_ime to run on non sense phones
he mentions something about messing with the manifest
i havent had any luck getting .apk's to decompile with apk_manager even after getting some help (thanks impaler)
so i dont think we should give up hope on this one

Well I was fed up of not having any decent livewallpapers on my hero and stumbled across a livewallpaper called video live wallpaper.
This livewallpaper lets you play a video loop as a wallpaper, having just installed dreamscenes on my laptop, I put two and two together and thought why not.
After a few hours of trying various conversion formats I have found the settings to run dreamscape mpg's (dreamscapes must be in video format not dream.) as a livewallpaper on your hero, this looks really good and makes the hero look like its running really complex live wallpapers!
Anyway it works really well and is very stable and looks really good, so thought I would share it! If you check out the short video you can see a few running!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pp3pNwQetds
If you want to do this you will need:-
video live wallpaper app (free from market)
Any video converter (free on download.com)
dreamscences in a movie format (google them) or www.dreamscenes.org
You then simply need to convert the dreamscene and run it with the live wallpaper app.
Ive found that the optimum settings for conversion that give the best look/performance balance are:-
Profile= customisied AVI movie
Codec= XVID
Frame size = 352x240
Bitrate = 12000
Frame rate = 15
You can tweak these values but be warned I found that if you go too high your poor old hero will start locking up, at these values I get no performance issues and battery consumption is on par with other live wallpapers, anyway enjoy
Oh and just to be extra nice here are the three from the video, ready converted for you to try if you can't be bothered to convert your own
View attachment Bokeh_xvid.zip
View attachment reactor_1680_xvid.zip
View attachment silky-dance_xvid.zip
(Oh yeah btw you need a custom rom to run live wallpaper on your hero, search development if you dont know how!!)
And just so you know, on my phone ADW launcher didnt seem to like this wallpaper so I swapped to launcher pro and it was fine!
If anyone finds any other cool dreamscenes, please feel free to add them to this thread to give people a selection to use.
EDIT...here's a few more I've converted

this is fantastic. will be trying this tomorrow.
nice ! I will try it soon !
Looks great, thanks!
...and BTW: I love the swing effect when changing home screens, how did you achieve this? What ROM are you using? Is it possible with CM6?

ROM is froyo 2.2.1 special edition final with fly kernel 12a overclocked to 710mhz
Transition effects are in the latest launcherpro release
In theory any ROM should work as long as it has the live wallpaper hack included, not sure how they will perform, maybe some will run better than others, if anybody feels like posting performance results on other ROMs that would be useful
Just found a site with lots of free dreamscenes to play with

No problem my friend, theres also some cool transitions on ADW launcher now as well if you like that sort of thing
And a little update for anyone trying the dreamscene videos, there seems to be so sort of problem with the video live wallpaper app, after a few days use it starts to really affect performance on my phone, am thinking some sort of memory leak (Im no dev so not sure really) stopping app then rebooting sorts out the problem.
Anyway I've emailed dev about it but if anyones clued up and knows what there looking at, then any input would be good
Hey!
I'm the dev of the VLW. I downloaded one of the videos of the original post and I'll be testing it on my device to see it anything weird starts occuring after a while.
Though I have the Desire HD so I might not have any problems. We'll see.

Very nice!!!!!
Hey, all.
I have great news for you! I have compiled a fully stable version of Ice Cold Feats v2.1, and I have compiled a v3 Beta with some awesome (but scary) Experimental features!
Version 2.1
Asus Widgets
Trebuchet (Yes, even for AOSP!)
Beats Audio (which is slimmer and more reliable)
New Wallpapers By Asus and Me!
Performance tweaks in build.prop
Adjusted to work best with 73xx - made a separate version for 73xx and 75xx
Version 2.9.9 (3.0 Alpha)
All of the above
An EXPERIMENTAL (This means I really don't know how will it work):
Tile Rendering Should improve performance and particularly FPS!
Here are the download links:
EXPERIMANTAL WIFI 3.0 ALPHA
Stable v2.1 Wifi Only

Runs beautifully after installing it over a CM 9 on the WiFi version of the tab without any hiccups at all after a clean installation. Also maybe it's just me but the Beats does not mix well with using an equalizer on the tablet, disabling the equalizer made everything better though, just an observation thanks a lot for this! I'm pretty excited to see more development for my beloved tablet.
You should really post some pics, that will encourage people to try your addon.
I will, but honestly, the most changes are under the hood. Audio, smooth scrolling. Ill do that though as soon as i can

As soon as a Dev gets a hold of that Official ICS update coming out today in Canada, it won't be long after that.
The wait is almost over!
Look forward to trying this out too!
Thanks,

that's great, thanks...
hope to see more features soon
So ive flashed this addon with fullwipe. But i cant see or feel any improvement by speed. Any Launcher is stuttering by changing the screens like without your addon. To beats audio i cant check it out now. But i will test it tonight.
Btw. Benchmarks says the same i feel, no really speed improvements. But thx for your try.
The browser should be smoother. I cant fix the launcher stutter. It is for some reason in every ics launcher

Android 4.2 Keyboard with gesture typing .apk and .zip. Can be installed as a normal .apk or flashed as a .zip. IMO this is a great improvement on the standard ICS one, and some say it's as good as SwiftKey.

GMail 4.2 app, once again thanks to wis1152 Includes pinch-to-zoom feature
Transparent themed Gmail 4.2 Devved by B-Boy, and Media and fonts, thanks to shaumaaa for posting this
4.2 Clock.zip I think this is the clock which can also act as a screensaver or something along those lines. That's a bit useless in my opinion, but if I'm not mistaken, it also has stopwatch and timer features built in (took your time, Google!) so it's worth having.
Nexus 4 Wallpapers
Google Music
Power control - Wis1152 again :')
Note that I personally haven't tried all of these myself yet and I did not create them, so I can't comment on how good they are or even whether or not they work. So far, most people have had success with these.

Annoyingly I can't find the person(s) who actually provided these mods. I'll try to keep the OP updated with any newer JB (4.2) apps I find.
I've installed them on my HD2 and they both work. The keyboard appears to be flawless. The camera has graphical glitches very much like we HD2 users had with Jelly Bean ROMs until very recently, but not as bad because they clear up enough to reasonably use the app. PhotoSphere does NOT work, though, because it says that our device isn't supported. That'll probably be fixed by a dev soon enough, but, for now, it won't even let you access the mode.

Yep, I thought as much from what others have said on another thread. Either way, you can see this video to see how awesome Photo Sphere is. Check the G+ link in that article as well, the resolution isn't half bad and the photo stitching is pretty much perfect, as we've come to expect from Google (Street View).
I got PhotoSphere mode to work by changing the ID to Galaxy Nexus in build.prop, but it's unusable. It sort of works, but it's excruciatingly slow and the accelerometer only barely works. It takes something like 30 seconds to take the first photo, then 30 seconds for it to allow you to take another, then another 30 seconds... at which point I ended up stopping the operation, but the resulting image wasn't even stitched together properly. It probably needs to be modified to work with the HD2's hardware. I'm no Android dev, so that'll have to be for someone else to figure out, though we might need the source for that.

Yep, that fixes the check for PhotoSphere, so that we no longer need to edit build.prop. It doesn't fix the other issues with the app, though. It's still unusable.
EDIT: Also, the new version at the original post removes the version checking (though doesn't seem to fix any of the other issues that we see on our HD2s, either): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1965895

Here's the clock. I think it's a flashable zip. I installed it just with extracting it and then finding it in the system/app folder(not the real system).
It doesn't overwrite the original clock apk so you can have it too since it has a nice timer and stopwatch. Alarm doesn't work for me(Clock has stopped, or something similar).
EDIT: Sorry, I haven't seen that you have already posted the desc clock.
Anyway, if that one up there doesn't work for you, try this.
