Hello, I was wondering if there was ANY way to change region and language settings separately on Samsung Galaxy S?
go into settings
locale and inputs
It only lets me to make my phone in either stupid Lithuanian language OR I can choose USA,UK etc. But how can I choose English language, but Lithuanian location(region)?

Dear All,
In Bulgaria and Russia, we use Cyrillic letters for writing. The HTC Sense does not have Bulgarian interface. I'm not enough good with the Russian language and I use the English language as a default one for the interface. Is it possible only to the Phone application /the dialer/ the language to be changed in Russian, in order to use the name search in Cyrillic??
Thank you.
Questions are to be asked in "General" not in "Development"

I had the same problem with Japanese.
East Asian languages are missing from the first time run wizard, so just pick English for now in the wizard. Get the app "Locale Setting" from the play store. Use that app to set the language. It worked for Japanese for me, should work for Chinese for you.
You can uninstall the app once done, the language won't change back.
Wow you got a useless comment on your thread lol!
Anyways it is there. Just tell them to enable it. They must have missed it I guess.
Or if you want upload here the file located in /system/customize/CID/default.xml and I'll modify it for you to enable chinese language.

wow,the problem has been resolved after I used the app "Locale Setting" ,thanks~:good:
I recently updated to 4.4.4 and since the update the spoken language my phone has used has been Canadian French, but when I go to change French is the only option. I've searched and asked and can't seem to find a language pack and I'd rather not factory reset my phone.
Anyone had the same issue or know how I could possibly solve mine??

Have you gone to Settings > Language & input > Text-to-speech output > Google Text-to-speech settings > Language? Is that where you only see French? I see English and many other languages to select from as the default.
Is it only possible to get autocorrection and suggestions for a language while I'm using the stock keyboard? My mother tongue is Spanish, but I live in Germany so I write a lot in German too, in English quite often too and I'm learning french so I need all the help I can get from autocorrection haha , but I've noticed that even though I'm able to select different keyboard (aka different langauges) for the google spell checker I'm only allowed to select a language , so the only option for me is to install a third party keyboard like swiftkey?
Hi
I just received the phone, I've set the system language to Hebrew.
There is no Hebrew T9 dialing option in the stock phone app.
Does anyone have an idea on how to fix it? I don't need the letters to appear on the numbers I just need the search function to operate in my language (Hebrew).
In the settings the options are: English, Russian and Chinese.
I know I can download a 3rd party phone app that support Hebrew T9 but I prefer to fix the stock one.
Thanks in advance!
