helmi_c: maybe you will share some tech. info about your process of creation this working rom?
(yes, I haven't hima, mine is hx4700 and there is wm6 already for mine pda, just I'm curious about some things...)
1) XIP creation:
Did you copied all msxipkernel package modules from wm6? If so - where you've placed region_1 for two modules that wasn't in wm5 (encfilt and cachefilt you've moved above of ceddk? or different modules instead of them? or just removed them? (btw, you can simple remove encfilt and even cachefilt, at least for my hx i can do so)
2) .ROM and .VM ... didn't you modified their values?
I noticed (from two wm6's, universal's and m$ emulator's) that e32_vbase from .VM is set equal to ulRAMEnd from XIP's ROMHDR (and that wasn't so for wm5). Also one thought ... e32_entryrva ... isn't it pointing to highest vbase+vsize of imgfs modules (but not xip's modules)...
3) did you checked for a crossmapping between imgfs and xip modules?
(I noticed that wm6 modules vbase+vsize became more higher than wm5 ones)
3) more important - registry creation
How you've created a registry? Registry is really a thing from where bugs are coming... Did you created registry from .rgu's from packages? If so - in what order they was parsed?
(For my hx wm6's registry can be created just from rgu's but need to put them in a right order when parsing.)

[PROJECT] PointSenseHD! Need a cooker for a light ROM(with some change i would ask u)

Hi,
Any english cooker interested making a light version for PointSense?? (pointUI with PointSense mod on)
I've already make the work with a french cooker (BiCh0n), you can check it < HERE >
It is a real success. I've already the PointSense part done, but i need a great english ROM, i would prefer it on 6.1 if possible.
It would be like a common work. The cooker makes the ROM (the ROM would require several things) and i make the PointSense config (95% done as i've only small modification to adapt it for french)
The advantage of this ROM would be:
- easy way to install PointSense Suite
- all widget working together
- deleting useless files from the home2 folder
- a great known from PointUI

For a cooker, already having a stable ROM, i think it would not even take him 3 hours of work... The english cooker accepting would be the first doing that on blackstone in english

I'm willing to play with this, curious is to how well point UI has progressed over the last 2 years.
I can use a stock WM 6.1 ROM and modify it and add some speed tweaks. OK a WM 6.5 ROM plain no Manila no Titanium. It is up to you.

I have the impression that a superslim 6.5 rom without HTC's biotouch, smarttouch and touchscoll gives the best effects. Im using wm 6.5_21872 for it, but rom is far from perfect as i'm not an experienced rom cooker.

awsome bro. Gonna give your kitchen a shot. just got my hd2 a couple of days ago and was going to look into cooking for the device. One question? are Touch pro/2 packages work with HD2 cooking enviroment. They are for the evirus kitchen.

For someone who is new to cooking his/her own ROMs, is there a bit of an "Idiot's Guide to..." sort of thing, or at least some documentation that's at least somewhat newbie-friendly?

there is a lot of information here on how to cook your own rom. i dont remember the links off the top of my head and i dont feel like searching right now for them but just use the search bar at the top and type in how to cook a rom. i am sure you will find something instantly.

I prefer 23112, honestly probably not alot, but 23112 is the general release branch of 6.5.3. Which means it should at least have more stability than com5.

is the kitchen in this rom fairly eazy to use and/or figure out. I definately wouldnt call myself a noob but also not pro. Had rhodium and flashed TONS of roms. but have never done anything as far as cooking but love the idea...easy to figure out with alot of basic knowledge or no?

Honestly I think the vistang kitchen (the one chuckyroms use) sits right in the middle between EVK & OSKitchen (OSKitchen being the easiest)... However to be honest all you need is patience and a dose of common sense when using any one of the kitchens... at some point I'm going to create a screencast of the basics (once I've got some spare time)

I think I'm still not good enough to do so. But now I'm experimenting with mr.toto tools are very superior tool in the tool I use to make ROM
If I do my kitchen, I will give you good first.
