Galaxy s kernel question

Hi to all...i have darky's v8 rom installed and it's awesome!!but I would like to overclock my device and I'll need to swich to another kernel...can I just flash the new kernel over my rom or doi need to anythinh else before I do that??any help appreciated!!!

Make sure lag fix is disabled and the kernel supports JPY rom

Newbie....

Hey guys had my galaxy s for a few months now but never bothered to read up on what to do with it lol.... I have 2 questions.....
Whats thefirst things i should be doing to the phone (keep it easy to understand ).
Is there an easy way to play media to my xbox360 - i dont have a pc attached to 360, would i need to do this to use allshare for example or is there another way round it?

No, latest one is 2.3.4 and with CM7/MIUI 2.3.5.

2.3.4 is latest samsung, all firmwares and flashing instructions can be found at samfirmware.com

Smearphore kernel question

Does smearphore 2.5 have a lagfix? If so how do i enable it?
Im running gingerbread 2.3.5 with smearphore 2.5(obviosly)

No it doesn't have in built, u can download from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=591080&d=1304947623
and do convert rtfs to ext4 thats it.
