I have a Samsung Galaxy S - OS: 2.1 update 1 - rooted
I had an alarm setup for ''workdays'' using the default ''Clock / Alarm'' Android application. Last night, Sunday, I disabled the alarm - but without deleting the settings for that particular alarm, because I didn't want that the alarm to start up this morning. This morning at the same time the alarm started - even if I 100% sure that I disabled the alarm. Another think is that I disabled the alarm before midnight and probably the alarm automatically enabled itself after midnight.
Why the alarm enabled itself if I disabled it?
What is the workaround because I don't want to delete the alarm for after that creating a new one?
Normally I should be able to use / create several alarms without being force to delete anyone of them but in this case I don't know if I can do something similar.
I disabled again the alarm and today I will stay till after midnight to check if the alarm will enable again by itself.

I don't have any suggestion, but a tip: you don't have to wait till midnight to check it .. just forward the time to 11.59 and see if it happens again
my suggestion, dump the build in stock alarm, and use this

I will give a try using the application - now I am trying to add the application to the ignore list of the Advanced task killer apps
Will try that alarm app myself... Thanks!
it will even un-mute the phone for you if you left it on silence/vibrate and you forgot to turn it back to sound ON

Hi, i would like to share a little app i made. I use my QTEK for work. I like having ringtones but i was tired to have to switch off volume every time i start a meeting. I also want to be able to reply missed calls with SMS only to some people. And i also want to made my own app :
Features:
- App detect if are "busy" or "free" based on the appointments schedule.
- App can silent or set to vibrate the phone when start a meeting and restore sound when meeting ends.
- App can reply missed calls (on "busy" mode) with custom SMS and it has nice options to configure who will receibe the SMS....
Known Bugs:
1- App will start on every reboot (that´s ok), and show the main screen (just put it on background).
2- App will change ringer mode (silence, vibrate, ringtone on) but will not update default upper right volume icon.
Hope someone find this app usefull too.....Any comments will be appreciate...
I only tested it on WM6. I think it should works fine on WM5, can any one try it there?
You will need NETCF 2 before installing my app (check it, may be you already have it):
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...6b-356b-4a2c-857c-e62f50ae9a55&DisplayLang=es
English: http://rapidshare.com/files/25370543/JBAssistant_0.5_-_EN.CAB
Español: http://rapidshare.com/files/25370561/JBAssistant_0.5_-_ES.CAB
Version 0.5:
- App will now apply settings also to sms and voicemail.
- App saves settings when enters busy mode, and restore them when going to free mode.
If u have for example this setup:
PDA Settings:
- Phone Ring
- Text Message Vibrate
JBAssistant Settings:
- Silence Phone checked
Behaviour will be:
On Busy Mode:
- Incoming Phone calls and Text Messages will not ring or vibrate.
On Free Mode:
- Incoming calls will ring and text messages will vibrate.
- On free mode, "ringer:" will be "PDA Settings" to better comunicate current setttings for text, phone and voicemail.
- When exit the application on "busy mode" phone, voice and text sound settings will be restore to PDA settings saved before entering "busy mode".
- Note: Application saves your current settings before entering busy mode and restore them when entering free mode. Because of that, you can freely change settings when application is in free mode, but if you do it when application is on busy mode, settings will be reverted to the original values (those before entering busy mode) when entering free mode. World can't be perfect and you are busy, don't loose time playing with phone settings ....
Version 0.4:
- fixed a bug introduced in verison 0.3 when restoring sound after a meeting ends.
Version 0.3:
- Added option to ignore meetings with "free" status
- Icon on trybar when app is running.
- New (and nicer) application icon.

Sounds good, any chance your going to make it so that when your device boots up the default screen doesn't appear? I know it's not a big deal, but it annoys the hell out of me.
Anyways thanks!

Version 0.3
Updated first post with version 0.3. Sorry i can't (yet) found the way to hide the main screen at startup (yes..i also think it was an easy task ..not on CF2
if someone has any idea of how to do it with managed or native code pls post it...
thanks!

I'm embarrased to say I can't get it to install, I have .NET and everything, but as soon as I click on the cab file it just says that installation was unsuccesful. Well I'll double check it might just be me acting like an idiot
Hi Guys,
Anyone know if the snooze menu can be modified, i would like to have just one sooze time so the the soft key works as the snooze rather than bring up a menu of times, sometimes select the wrong snooze setting with my fat fingers
Thanks
Matt
Would be such a good idea. Handling menu's while half asleep is very difficult
Tell me about it, its all i can do to find the phone, let alone deal with a menu, could this be one for the reg edit hackers????
What about........
I happened to spot a post on another site about a little freeware alarm program called SpoonAlarm that allows you to do lots of things with alarms, including setting the number of snoozes....and apparently, it's all with a finger-friendly interface I've not tried it myself, but I plan to as the WM6 built in alarm stuff is ****e so anything's gotta be an improvement, right?
Anyway, you can download SpoonAlarm from this page - I'm not gonna post it here without getting the author's permission first.
Enjoy!
Mark.

From the screen grabs I can't see an improved "Snooze" button. Essentially what is needed: when the alarm goes off the entire screen should turn into a snooze button, and the soft keys should allow you to turn it off. That way you can't miss it when your dozing.
I use SPB Time for my alarms. When your alarm goes you get 2 big buttons in your screen. One is snooze for 5 minutes(Green button) the other one is disable alarm (red button).

I've tried all the alarm apps this week, ptravelalarm, spb time, & spoonalarm.
ptravelalarm works great but it's just so damn ugly. If they could add skins I would go back to it.
spoonalarm is free but it doesn't allow for multi day repeat alarms. In other words, you have to set an alarm for each day of the week, instaed of just saying include all work days.
spb time so far is the best I've used and still have it loaded on my Tilt now. It does cost a couple of bucks but works better then the OS alarm and you can set SPB TIme to play MP3s as well.
SpoonAlarm
Thank you for trying the SpoonAlarm.
In couple of days I will be releasing a newer version of the tool and it will also include the following:
- Countdown clock
- Recuring alarms (upon configuration of course)
If you have any additional suggestions I would be happy to hear!

Everytime I go to the site or try to download I get this:
"Webhost4life Application Firewall Alert
Your request triggered an alert! If you feel that you have received this page in error, please contact the administrator of this web site."
How do you contact the administrator of the site if you cant access it?
Can I made with "The SpoonAlarm" more as one alarmtime? Or I can only made one alarmtime?
How does one completely remove SpoonAlarm?
I tried it out. Then went to remove programs and removed it, but before removing it I had my alarm that was set to snooze 3 times and... the alarm still went off and launched WMplayer but the dialog box said it couldn't find the program. Is there some file that still lurks somewhere? Even after a soft reset it still happened.

A simple stopwatch and timer app that just works, looks great and is fully multitasking-aware. Get it on the Windows Phone Marketplace.

A simple stopwatch and timer application that just works and looks great. Of course it has a stopwatch with laps and six individually customizable timers, but there's much more:
1. Never worry about multitasking
Whether you start it from the task switcher, Start screen or app list, EnClock will restore stopwatch and timer progress as if it was running the whole time.
2. Timer works in the background
Just like the default alarm app, even if the screen is off. Want to stop a timer midway through? No problem, thanks to the multitasking support Just start EnClock and you'll see the running timer. Tap "stop" – done!
3. Choose different sounds
You can choose between four different high-quality sounds for the timer. Or just select "none" and enjoy the silence.
4. Looks beautifully Metro
Tired of all the apps that are just "missing something"? EnClock feels perfectly at home on your Windows Phone, with smooth animated transitions, a minimal design, support for the light theme and an icon that changes with your chosen accent color.

This is my first app, so if you find any bugs please let me know and I'll fix them. Suggestions and feedback are also welcome!
Suggestion: show total time for each lap
I would like to see a stopwatch app that displays both the lap time and total/cumulative time for each lap. So for example for each lap time shown in the display, you could show the cumulative time just below the laptime, indented or in a different font to make it clear that it is the total time.
I use the 'lap' time on stopwatches sometimes to time several competitors at once, so it is convenient to have the cumulative time displayed and saved. I can then see in one glance what the total time was for each person, without having to add up the lap times.
It's a nice feature that not many stopwatch apps have and could differentiate your app from the others.
Suggestion
When i open the app the title and image aren't centered. Centering it would make it the least bit better imo. Other then that the app is awesome.
Could you please add more alarm sounds? My Nokia 900 has dozens. Can you tap into the built-in sounds on the different phones? That would be sweet and I'd pay for it.
Best timer/stopwatch app i have used. Very reliable. So many times other timers havent set off the alarm and this one does it 100% of the time.
This is an amazing stopwatch app Very reliable!!
In most stopwatch apps (perhaps 90%), the time will be reset to Zero (0) if I click on the app icon instead of click Back. But we don't have to worry about that with EnClock Furthermore, the app runs very smoothly and doesn't need too much time for starting (Many other apps need lots of time to start )
I'm very happy that I found this app!!! Thank you so much
@Livven Can you add the function "Prevent lock screen", please? Because when this app is run, the screen still automaticly turns off after 1 minutes (exactly as the setting in "lock+Wallpaper". It makes me very tired

Hi,
I've just released my new Notifications App for Pebble. It's new for pebble, but it's used for a lot of people in its SmartWatch 2 version.
It's basically the same App that Notifications for Smartwatch 2 but this is only for Android 4.3+ because it doesn't use Accessibility.
And now for limited time is only for 0.99$.
Try it, you will like it!

Is there a way to turn off google now notifications? Or only leave google now reminders? I was using a different notification app and it would keep going off for temperature and traffic notifications which was annoying but didn't have an option to turn it off.
Great app, looks promising.

Hi,
when a new type of notifications arrives, the App will ask you if you want to read them. If all notifications comes from the same App there's no way to diff them.
Thanks

When you dismiss notifications in your app, will they dismiss on the phone? This is the only functionality I want a Pebble for and yet no apps seem to do this.

Any apps that use Android Notification access (eg this app in this thread, and notification center for pebble) should be able to dismiss notifications on the phone.
Im about to install this app, it looks ok. Ive used notification center and it definitely does dismiss.
Help! Clock App notification settings bugged? "Alarm and timer alerts" grayed out an
Anyone else have this problem? My alarm stopped sounding off one morning. What happened was the alarm went off, silently. There is a notification that I "missed" my alarm. This continued to happen for 2-3 days. So I looked into Settings > Apps > Clock > Notifications. And under "Alarm and timer alerts" it is set to "Silent". This is also grayed out so that I cannot change it! Please see the screenshot I have uploaded.
I do not know if the setting was like this from the beginning, but the Alarm was operating fine every day before this. The sound was going off fine before.
Now after extensive checking I still cannot identify the problem. But I have managed to at least get alarms ringing now. All new alarms I add seem to ring fine. HOWEVER, the settings page (screenshot) still shows "Silent" and it is still grayed out. What is going on??
I want to use the stock Alarm but I cannot rely on it until I figure out why it is grayed out on silent. What if I oversleep for something important because suddenly the Alarm does not sound?
Can other anyone please check if their notification settings show up like this? If not, I would like to find out why my phone is like this. I did debloat some apps with adb but that was weeks before the Alarm problem. Maybe removing Bixby affected it somehow?

Mines greyed out, that's for notifications, for example you will get a notification 5 minutes before your set alarm so you can just dismiss it, it's not for the actual alarm.

Weird, what would be the purpose of this kind of notification? Like the notification 5 minute before the alarm you mentioned... I have never seen that happen. What is it for?
It's so you can dismiss the alarm before it goes off, for example your alarm is set at 6:30 a.m. and you're already up you can dismiss it.
