Does anyone know how I can change from the adw launcher to launcher pro? I'm using the cynogen mod 6.0 RC 1 and I hate the adw.

Download it from the market. Then press the "Home" key. It will ask you what launcher you want to use. Make it default.
Yea but what about the themed versions...any out there?
Sent from my HERO200 using XDA App
I actually thought the same regarding themed versions.
The problem, I assume, is that LP isn't also, and its a "lite" version with the option to upgrade - $

Like has been said, download from the market and install. Once you install, and tell your phone to use it, you can remove ADW with Titanium Backup if you want...But make sure you are USING LauncherPro first. Probably mess something up if you dont...Nandroid first to be safe. I like LauncherPro much better myself

If your clear default button is grayed out..go to the market and download Default Home and install it.Follow the directions and use it to allow you to switch to LP. No need to really un-install it until you know for sure you don't want to use it. I used it for a good while and then started using ADW for my default launcher. I really like how it works now and plan on using it mostly, but have the option to go back whenever I want..

I would recommend a good launcher, like ADW.Launcher or LauncherPro and go from there.
Also a market alternative like APKTor, and you should be all set!

There is no recovery and defiantly no custom recovery yet and there are absolutely no custom roms yet.

Thanks I ended up pushing launcher pro via adb. Thank goodness debug was on. The launcher getting courupt is the one bad thing with android. Because without root /debug you are toast. It has happened on my captivate and I had to master clear.

I dont like ADW but thanks anyway
I use "Go Launcher" with CM7 along with "Go SMS" and "Go Chat" which you can send free texts, files etc with Go Chat/ SMS. Never had any problems with it
I use touchwiz 4.5 or a full Golauncher environment when I'm on Cm7 but already tried this stock nexus launcher that was working fine as far as I've seen:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=933517
Regarding all the stuffs included in or removed by the cwm zip I think it's better to extract the apk from it

I've installed the Launcher2.apk but I cant choose it :S It doesn't appear on the list ...
Put it in system/app?
I don't remember very well but if it says "application is not installed" (something like that,t'm french...) when you click on the apk then it has to be put in system/app.
Otherwise it's just that you have to press the big central home button of your phone after install, tick "choose by default" and choose this launcher.
Home switcher a nice app too to easily test launchers.

how do I delete a launcher?
I want touchwiz as default but adw keeps coming up -.-
Delete the ADW launcher in /system/app OR set your preferred launcher as default after pressing home button. You could also freeze ADW launcher using Titanium Backup.

What does this have to do with the Xperia S theme?
Sent from my E15i using xda app-developers app
Sorry chris I had trouble finding the dl link for xperia s so that's why I named it that lol. And thanks spyder
That makes absolutely no sense!
Go to the second post and click the version.
Sent from my E15i using xda app-developers app
It has nothing to do with Chris's theme...just use this instructions:
Go to
Settings/applications/manage apps/system app/adw launcher/clear defaults
Now press home key and select the preffered launcher
Is it important how did i send this?
Hello everybody,
first of all i want to apologize for asking for it. But i definately can not do it myself.
I´m just looking for an .apk theme for stock Optimus UI which replaces the app drawer icon with the stock nexus style one,
cause i don´t like the default ones. That´s eveything i need, all the other desktop icons can be changed via Optimus UI launcher.
So if anyone has the same interest and likes to do something like this i would be more than happy.
Thank you in advance.
Cheers
Daniel
Nova launcher or apex launcher
There is an app in lg smart world by it you can download themes for the stock launcher , made by lg .
I don't remember the name maybe "theme box" or something like that

Are you rooted? If yes, just copy and replace original file via es file explorer or total commander to /system/app
If you're not rooted then you can't install it.

^This. No root required. Running smooth.

Yeah i know, but unless i am not rooted i can not use widget drawer to place widgets on homescreen. It will be possible when we get jelly update till end of march (i hope/want to believe). But i really favour stock launcher so i think about root and have a try with this custon biz theme.

Well, not entirely true, you can still use the Widget drawer, cept it's going to be the Gingerbread style one. But yes, in order to have a true stock ICS or JB experience I guess we have to wait till LG updates roll out.
If you don't wanna root. I sure don't. Not yet atleast.
