[Q] froyo build tv video output?? - Galaxy S I9000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey SGS guys,
Does the TV Video output works in the Froyo build JPK?
Has anyone tried this?

It works fine

Has anyone posting here tried to read first sticky post?

Its worked in all ROMs i've tried.

Works great, watched a film via the tv on saturday night

Oh guys, dont you get it???? This is Android Development (!) not Questions and Answers!!!! Your question has nothing to do with development!
Please use the right section to post!!

Kheepur, as Donald points out above, this thread has no business being posted in the development section.
Before posting any more threads, please read the "Read this before posting" thread at the top of this section for clear guidelines on proper thread placement.

The post has been moved but still showing in development forum.

Out of the three threads you've created, g1man, not one of them has been in the right section. :l
then were should i put them
lets see, you just asked a question so maybe you should try the g1 Q&A forum (question & answer)
This here is development, your QUESTION in no way has anything to do with developing anything for the HTC dream
well, considering you are asking QUESTIONS, they should really go in that lovely place called the QUESTIONS and ANSWERS section....
Tagged to end the flaming. Please read the rules BEFORE posting. Thanks.
There is also a nice sticky thread for your needs, he has reviewed all roms and given them ratings for your needs

Moving this to Q&A.

Android/Captivate Basics

Hey, just got my first android and am new here. Don't know if this is the adequate section, but if not can a mod please move it?
Anyways, I'm trying to learn how Android works. That includes rooting and developing, so if there are some educational threads, could anyone point them out to me? Sorry if I'm a bit lost
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I897 using XDA App
Read through the stickys (pins next to each thread on left side) on top of each section. Especially the one that say read!! Read instructions before you try anything!
Really good one to look through http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=887525
And please search (top right under rules and news) through the threads if you have a question before you post anything, because some most likely has had a similar question/problem that has already been answered
Good luck
Shameless self plug - read the sticky in my signature if you have any questions on what something means.
Research is gonna be your key. Your search-fu will need to be strong. Good place to start is the stickies. Thread closed

Read this if you care for this forum

Hi Everyone!!!!
I am posting this thread because i just saw the announcement that some of the legacy forums (including this one) will be closed (read-only) because of no or very little post activity.
If you guys want this forum to be closed, fine. Don't post any thing.
But if you want this forum to be up and working just like before, then reply to this post and keep it working.
You can see the announcement here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/announcement.php?f=443
Thanks.....
P.S. I don't do anything with my opal anymore, but i don't want this forum to be DEAD.

Smooth Android version needed

Hey guys, I own an HTC TD, WM 6.1, I need a smooth working and fast android version (With "how to insatll" please ), I've installed XDAndroid 2.2 and it's very slowly + Almost everything isn't responding + whenever I enter to Storage card it says I need an SD Card, can some one help me ASAP please?
Thanks
P.S1: I'm sorry if I posted this on the wrong sub-forum
P.S2: I really busted my ass searching before posting this, to let you know
Is this forum dead or something? I posted two topics in the last three weeks and no one answered or helped me, come on guys, I really need help!
Close this topic. I already solved my problem on another forums, they replied the day I posted.
Thread Closed
Well, this device is in the Legacy & Low Activity Devices forum for a reason....also "best/fastest/smoothest/mostest ROM" threads are generally discouraged as there is no one right answer for all people. It really depends on the user's individual needs, so no one can answer it correctly for you but you. Try various ROMs until you find the one that is the best for you. Thread closed.

Knock On issue..can't post in development thread

I need to ask a question regarding a my knock on issue but can't reply to a thread that I want to post in. So I guess I need to post in here to see if someone can copy my question to that thread. I would like to get this resolved but I'm at a stand still until someone can help me out.
This is the thread I want to ask a couple of questions in.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-g2/development/easy-verizons-hidden-menu-t2825967
I've followed the instructions for the hidden menu. I've got it installed and did the firmware update. It seems to be working for everyone. It's not for me however. I'm on the newer version and I still can't get the knock on to work. Knock off works fine. I've noticed that some of my apps have dead spots on the screen also.
What do I do next. It was working fine last night. I put the phone on my charger around 2am last night, woke up at 9 and it didn't work.
Will a factory reset work? I'm on verizon 24a stock rom but rooted. I noticed that there is a system update available. I really don't want to have to reflash back. I like the phone as it is. I just want the knock on feature to work and my other apps. Can someone help me out here.
Thanks,
Jake
Rather than being in such a rush to post in a Development forum, spend a bit more time to ensure you post in the correct section to begin with.
We have a Q&A forum for a reason... that's where this should have been posted so I've moved it there.
Also, Development forums are for Development. They are not generally for the purpose of posting your Q&A.
Search properly first... You're unlikely to be the first person to experience your issue and your question has more than likely been answered multiple times.

Sorry....I've search and search for my specific problem and there's nothing in these threads that cover it. I was under the assumption that I could only post in the general forum only due to my post count. Didn't know I could post in the Q&A forum or I would have put it there. Thanks for moving it for me.
What I'm trying to understand is since there's already a thread on this problem, why shouldn't I be allowed to post in it instead of starting a new thread about the same topic that won't be looked at. I'll follow the rules but to me it would seem easier to post in that thread without having to start a brand new thread on the same topic.

You're welcome to post in that thread now, without trying to boost your post count any further.
I've moved that thread out of the Development forum because it shouldn't have been there to begin with.
