Facebook Sync Unavailable - Galaxy S I9000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

When I first got my galaxy, I synced it to my facebook, and there was no problems. Then, a couple of days ago, I got "Facebook Session Expired" So I had to go ahead and log in again..
Though, whenever I try to log in, all I get is "Login Failed, Try again later"
Its been doing this for a while now... any ideas?
(I'm doing this through the stock SNS account sync settings)

have you tried to remove the Facebook account then add it in again?

I have the exact same issue on a Fascinate. Couldn't find any solutions though.

imap Gmail sync stopped working

I have used Pocket Outlook to sync with my Gmail account through IMAP for sometime now. Last week, I got a message everytime that it tried to sync OTA, that showed up as "no subject, no message, 0 k".
I reviewed my settings, and all was correct. I tried soft resetting, no luck. I tried uninstalling Microsoft Live Search, which I had recently installed. Same.
I eventually did a hard reset, as things were kind of slowing down anyway. Here is the weird part. I re setup the settings to sync with Gmail, and it successfully synced those emails up to June 2nd, but nothing after.
I am also getting a "tmail.exe" error when syncing, and sometimes, Outlook closes altogether.
Any thoughts?
I am running stock At&t 6.1 Rom.
UPDATE!!!!
Problem solved. There was one particular email that was almost all embedded jpeg's that once it was archived, the rest of the messages came through.

[Q] GMail not syncing correctly.

I flashed to JM5 the other day and setup my google account on startup as usual.
Everything came down ok - calendar, contacts and mail. I have push enabled and I get informed of my mails almost instantly as expected. I can mark them as read and/or delete them without issues.
The issues come later when I sign onto my GMail account on my home PC - all the mails I have read/deleted during the day are still marked as unread and I have to re-read/re-delete them. Everything else works fine!
Can anyone shed any light on this?
I've tried to delete the account and re-add but it says I can't remove it (since other apps are so dependent on it) without a factory reset.
i've my gmail account configured to Archive downloaded/read emails

I have the same problem, and it started recently...past two weeks probably. It is annoying, I'll open gmail on the phone, read the messages, close gmail, open gmail and they are right back.
I'm on a Vibrant, search feature brought me here...

error 86000108

when i try to sync my emails with my live.de (hotmail) account i always get the error 86000108. if i uncheck the email-sync box synchronization works fine (without email of course). if i check the box again i get this error back (m.hotmail.com).
the used email is my live.id so i can´t delete it from my phone and set it up again afterwards to see if it works fine then...
From memory 86000108 used to relate to having a corrupted item causing the sync to fail. In this case obviously in your mailbox which would explain why disabling it allows the rest of the sync to complete.
I would check Hotmail for any corrupted items and delete them.
Do you have anything else that syncs that mail, Outlook etc?
Yes I have (outlook 2010).
Nevertheless after some hours of swearing and trying I found the solution:
I tried to sync ALL emails, after switching to "only emails from the last month" it works fine. Seems it can´t handle too many mails...
Regards
Similar solution for me - thanks!
It turned out I had a 24mb email that was stopping the sync. Once I permanently deleted the large email, syncing started working straight away.
Just helped a friend with the same issue but a different error code. was his primary live account and it wouldn't sync.
Emptied out his live account but it still wouldn't sync... finally we cleaned out all his messages on his phone (including emptying the deleted messages folder) and that seemed to do the trick!!

[Q] Failed to add google account

I was happy with the NF, and added all the gApps after installing it. It worked fine. However the contact.apk was missing, so I reinstalled NF using CWR.
After that the contacts was back but since then I can't add google account after gApps are added. The "can't establish a reliable data connection to the server" error showed up every time.
I tried to reinstall NF, back to stock 1.0.1 and NF again, changing the time, delete settings.db, or even the YouTube trick. All of them don't work.
Any suggestions to solve it?
*update*: Youtube trick worked:
1. Go to youtube.com and sign up for a new account, using the email address you want to add to your phone
2. Open the YouTube application on your Adroid phone, sign out of your account if you're currently signed in (menu button -> sign out)
3. Sign in-menu button-my account, log in with your EMAIL ADDRESS (not your YouTube username)
4. Now You're all done - you can sign out of the account in the YouTube app again if desired. Go to Settings-Accounts and you should see your account in the list.

Market is not working anyway...
Getting the same error after installing Nookie Froyo v0.6.7 to SD, and adding the Gapps (per the nookdevs.com wiki), try to add account/Google results in "can't establish a reliable data connection to the server"
I can surf web, use the Facebook and Youtube apps.
Google's Blunder
Search google for can't establish reliable data connection change the options to 'latest' and it looks like this one's on google. I just flashed my firmware for my elocity a7 and got the same error all last night and this morning when trying to sync my google account. Hold fast, daylight will break soon. . .
update:
The YouTube worked when I try to add "@gmail.com" after my username.
However, the Market gives me a "A Server error has occurred. Retry, or cancel and return to the previous screen." error message and I can't get in. Contacts and Gmail is now working though.
Im having the same issue.
Picked up my Nook Color yesturday evening, I've booted Honeycomb off the SD card and then used HoneyGApps.v2 to install Market and a bunch of other apps.
However I get the following error when attempting to add my Google Account:
"Cannot Establish a Reliable Data Connection"
Tried a few things like clearing app cache and rebooting but I can get around this issue.
Anyone have any ideas for what I could try? Im connected to a strong wifi connection so its not a connectivity issue, I can browse the net no problem.
Signing into Youtube with your gmail account username/password gets you logged in, but it looks like a Google network server is down now, so still no Market access
It's Google's problem after all?
I used a WHOLE DAY trying to fix it...(censored)
you sure it's Google's server down?

I opened the Youtube app and tried to sign in.
Even though I haven't "setup" a youtube account before... I used my Gmail address I was trying to add to my Nook. Youtube signed me in.
I went back to Settings -> accounts -> Accounts & Sync.. it gave me a black screen that was there for about 20 seconds. Then I got the "add account" screen with my GOOGLE account listed. When I opened it, it had nothing listed. Then, Calendar showed up. As I sat there, Picassa Web Albums, contacts and Gmail later appeared and started synching.
The sync of those items took about 20 minutes. (I did uncheck picassa).
Trying to open Market, I now get "a service error has occured" so I tried...
Code:
Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications -> All -> Market
Clear Cache then Force Stop -- DO NOT clear data
Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications -> All -> Google Services Framework
Clear data then Force Stop
Reboot
It didn't help.
Also, I notice my browser seems a little slow, and while the facebook app runs, it takes a bit to load up... And when I launch the Gmail app, it shows about have the screen worth of mail, but I see the "loading conversations" at the bottom of the screen for about 5 or more seconds
I just turned my Nook on this morning to find that I can now add my Google account and open the Market. (Morning being 7.50am UK Time).
Must have been a glitch or a few reboots required....
@dhumpherson, what issue did you have previously with adding your account? Was it after you click ont he android robot (right at first screen) and attempt to enter your gmail account? That is where i cannot have success. I did enter into gmail before rooting, and i've read that may be an issue and i need to get rid of the data saved from that login, but i haven't located instructions yet for that.
If you had been unable to login at that initial screen but found an answer please let me know what you did. *If i enter an incorrect password the continue interface will tell me this, so it knows i'm entering the correct one when i do, but it just returns me to the login page, after the display blinks.

Are your Social Network accounts syncing?

I added my Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, YouTube accounts in the "Accounts" screen and the widget has stopped syncing. The sync error says password error. I try to change the password but doesn't accept (accepts just fine on the web).
When I try to remove the account, it asks for the password (which it requires the password).
I have installed and uninstalled the native FB and Twitter apps. I have Seesmic and Tweetdeck installed. I removed and added back in - not changes.
I've been searching/waiting for a thread like this for almost a week...just wasn't sure if 1 was started...
but I had FB, Google+, and Twitter all setup the day I got my phone...no problems the 1st week...everything was synced properly...but its weird cause I can't get twitter to update even though i'm currently logged in while FB and Google+ are still synced and updated regularly...
like you i uninstalled the program reinstalled and even tried to find out if i can delete the current username/password and just redo the login all together...with no luck and no fix...
it may have been from an update from another adjacent app that is causing the syncing problems...that seems the most logical in my eyes...so only time will tell...
