In that case, if you want it done the completely official way, then use Samsung Kies to connect your phone to PC and update firmware from there directly.
Ah right, there is no ota way of doing it?

I think there is something called kies air in the samsung apps folder that will let you do it over the air

Updating problems

Hi guys,
I wanted to update my note via "setting>about phone>software update>update". So i tap update and it started to download about 104 mb.
At the end of downloading, a message was shown to install update, so i tap the install button and the phone was rebooted. After a short time reboot was completed but a message appeared that update fail, try via kies.
Now what should i do to update?
What is the problem?
Is it with device or maybe one app or sth else?

May be your phone is rooted and have custom recovery. Did you try Kies?

Kies?
Not yet.

The try with Kies. It's the best way. If not you can manually update using PC odin.
As u know the updates which is given via phone, are official and related to region.
Searching for these kind of update is time consuming while phone do it by itself.
So the best way is to use phone update and via OTA.

Even Kies does the same as OTA and much safer than OTA.
Can it be done via kies air too?
