Recenlty applied the Lagfix to my Samsung phone but my boot animation is now gone so when it boots i get a blank screen and the music then takes a bit for it to turn on and get to the lock screen
any one else have this problem
Its a common issue with lagfixes, Just live with it. Or if you are using OCLF load that up and find the restore animation option.
Ahh ok thanx wasnt sure if it was just me or not I used the .bat files to do it

one day when I was playing around with clockword mod and selected restart adbd(I thought it meant the adb daemon but I guess it means something else) in the advanced options area.Well I consider my self pretty tech smart and "advanced" for a 13 year old but I guess things happen. Now when I boot my nexus one the actual boot animation(not splash) is not showing for the first 3 quarters of the boot up. Then I thought I bricked my device because the screen wasn't showing the animation for 20 sec. Then I saw the touch-sensitve buttons light up and then 2 seconds later the animation apeared only for 2 seconds untill my device was booted. I tried overwriting the boot animation in both /system/media/ and in /device/local/ ad it had no effect. I dont know what to do. I am rooted using universal androot because I want to be able to unvoid my warrnaty. So my bootloader isn't unlocked. I am running Cyanogen Mod 6 and am loving it so far! But I am wondering what to do? Should I re-flash the rom? I tried pressing restart adbd again and it did nothing? i have not done a Nandroid restore because it will mess up my apps that are on the sdcard if i restore back. I dont know what to do!?!?!?!?!
Restart the phone again and see if the problem continues.

Exactly how long did you wait? It's probably rebuilding dalvik cache, which can take 1-2 minutes extra if you have a lot of apps.
Yup...if you've wiped the Cache/data...The Bootloader Screen will stay on for a longer time than usual...and the Animation screen will be less. Nothing is wrong with your phone.
Please help me, I couldent find a similar problem, (unless its boot loop, never actually described)
I have a stock N1, latest build 1.2.3
I was just using it as normal, was deleting all my texts using go sms pro, but for some reason they wouldent delete. when I restarted the boot animation played continously, ocassional staggering then starting again.
Im not sure whats wrong.
I can boot into recovery (vol+power right?)
Any help would be appreciated.
-----
Edit: sorry for the trouble, figured that i might be a app gone rogue, so cleared data, all good now.
I wouldn't use that app anymore, in case it messed up phone
While in the bootloop, pull battery, reinsert, and pwr on--sometimes works
If you are not rooted, not sure--If rooted, you can do a restore
Hi Guys,
I am running Pandoriam and have twice had issues when moving the SIM card out of my S3 and the next time I rebooted it would hang at the SAMSUNG logo and wont boot up.
I would do a cache reset and a Dalvik wipe but doesnt fix it, have to do a full factory reset.
Any ideas ? I dont want this to randomly happen if the SIM slips out when knocking around my phone etc.
I think it might have something to do with Hot Boot, because if I do a Hot Boot from the Reboot menu it has the same outcome.
OK now it appears it might be linked to changing the Lock Screen.
When I change it and reboot the SAMSUNG logo appears and then it appears to generate the outside (clock / battery) icons and the overlay text (no sim / sim lock) appear... but the lock screen background is just BLACK and then crashes and reboots to SAMSUNG logo and doesn't go past the boot up.
I have some of the same issues. I left my phone charging over night. When i wake up it was frozen. I rebooted the phone and know it hang at the Samsung logo. Needed for install to fix this.
I can confirm the hot boot option. It makes a new clean re install go into Samsung logo hanging. But you can fix with a force shutdown and normal boot.
Both issues was on Pandoriam 4 Final new flash will be 4.5 maybe its fixed.

I had the same problem. In the end, i must reinstall the rom.
I have same issue when chose the persus kernel when flashing rom.
End up I flashed again with stock kernel
and the problem does not happen for a week.

Strange, Just to be sure Wipe Data/Factory rest before installing but if you have its a weird problem because I have rebooted and reinstalled and re-tested the rom ALOT of times and have chosen most of the options and kernels and I have NEVER had this issue.
Never had any Problems with the great Pandoriam ROM... It's a beauty !!

Hi guys,
Sorry I haven't been around to update, I re-installed and tried multiple different sets of options and every single time I changed the lockscreen from the default and rebooted it would just hang.
I did all 3 wipes from recovery before and after flashes but same issue. (I flashed from recovery not PC)
As I was running version 4 at the time I upgraded to 4.5 and ran through multiple different sets of settings but same issue
I will try it again in a few versions but for now I need a working phone so I am running rXTREME V2.1 for the time being.
Just installed the latest update (0621), and now when I try to do anything to open the UI from the booted splash screen (lock image) I get the message above.
I cannot shutdown or reboot to go back to an earlier version, I can only power off with the power switch.
If I try to use the reboot option from the splash screen, the recovery option has disappeared.
Starting the unit again produces the same result.
My latest boot got me the animated logo then presented a solid light blue screen.
How do I get it back so I can install the earlier build that was working while you fix this problem.
Right now the unit is useless, absent making up a new SD card. I have lots of stuff on the current card so would prefer not to do this.
This is somewhat similar to the clock has stopped warning on some earlier builds, but these did not render the unit inert.

And that is going to help how?
Did you read my post?
The unit is unable to get past the splash screen with the lock icon. I can't even regress to a working build.

Just boot to recovery, wipe data and reflash. But you will lose apps and settings, not much you can do about that.

I wasn't able to do that as I had to shutdown, that was the only option.
In some way, punching the power key and home key in some sequence, suddenly the recovery menu appeared. Don't ask me how.
I was able to go back to the 0615 build, and from there do the upgrade to the 0623 build and now it's working.
But I have no idea how I got the revery menu to come up when all else failed.

Holding power + n key on boot takes you to recovery.

I encountered this problem as well. Thanks to your posts, I started trying things before the flash screen locked. I downloaded a Nook app and the error message and display screen errors went away. I hope this works for someone else also..
Does anyone have custom boot animation and logo for moto x play?
Sent from my XT1562 using Tapatalk
Just copy any bootanimation.zip file using any root file manager and paste in system>etc>media<folder.First backup the original one, just in case. Then give proper permission and reboot. That's it.
You have a few apps in the app store.I have a few downloaded and worked with my old moto g,but watch out.Have to make a nandroid backup first.I soft bricked my device several times playing with bootloader animations. The picture based files work mostly, but when I tried replacing the stock mp4 with another mp4 it never worked, dammit

You can try this app called "Boot Box". Just search for animations with the same screen resolution as the mxp. Tried some others, but this app worked best.
