[Q] cant upload hd video to youtube - Galaxy S I9000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello there,
I cant get to upload hd videos to youtube.
I only have a 29mb file here and it doesnt upload true wifi.
It keeps timing out,Has somebody have a solution to this?

upload
somebody got this to work?

upload
Does nobody has this problem?

I have this problem. Sometimes it will upload them without any problems and sometimes I have the time out problem. I just put it down to the poor implementation and upload from my pc. Not helpful, but at least you are not alone. ;-)

Theres an app called PixelPipe for free i the marketplace. It works better for uploading HD stuff to YouTube. Plus you can do it over 3G

I've had this trouble before. on the description/title, don't use any special characters, even dashes " - ", that is if you are using the youtube app for uploading the videos.

Upload video to youtube from your pocket pc (if you can send email)

Hey,
If you guys want an easy way of sending a video to youtube, check out http://tubeseries.net/welcome.aspx
Once you register, you can get an email address you send videos to. Once a video is sent, the site will upload it to youtube for you, using the subject of the email as the title and the body as the description.
Once uploaded, you get back an email giving you the link to the newly updated video.
This is still alpha!!! My suggestion to you is to create a secondary youtube account to use this with.
I just use Qik. It allows live streaming from your phone as well, and automatic posting to many different video serving sites, including youtube.
I use qik too for certain things.
The problem is that you get much worse fps with qik because it does everything online. It also takes longer to set up and requires a better connection where as here you can take the videos even when there's no connection and fire-and-forget them via email.
I think monx®, is trying to port that function from the Touch HD or MAX4G into his ROM.
You should be able to upload both to Facebook and youtube.
I don't think that the function is up and running just yet, bu follow this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=451748
This is pretty cool, but already exists standard with Youtube accounts.
Go to http://www.youtube.com/account#mobile/profile and it will give you an email address to send to that auto uploads. I've been using this for a while and it works pretty well.
But I also second the Qik recommendation - I've been really impressed with the ease of use and the quality of live streaming, not to mention the immediate upload ability. Really, really cool.
Plus, you can autosyndicate to Facebook through both Qik and Youtube.
i use shozu: http://www.shozu.com/portal/tour.do?operation=where
when you take a pic or video, you can either choose to auto upload it or have a dialog come up asking you if you want to upload it to many sites...
Oh, yes it works. You use HTC Album to select whet to upload, tested .

How can i send a large video file in good quality without using youtube or email? i tried QIK but people dont get it. Is there a rom i should use to send or a program that will send the video or a link to the video in a text message and they can go to website and view video with the same quality i took it in?
Use Dropbox to upload.
thanks i will try that
this worked perfect thanks. some blackberry users get unsupported format but other than that worked perfect.
question
Since i started using dropbox i got other people to sign up. my wife has a samsung vibrant and she uploaded a video and sent me a link through sms i use handcent. when i click on link the browser opens then closes. if i restart phone a video player will popup and will say loading then it will say video cant be played. when i send her a video it downloads to her phone. is it my phone, the video format im using etc etc?

Qik with working video chat

Here is a copy of QIK that works with video chat for the Viewsonic G Tablet
This apk was taken from from Samsung Galaxy Tab by Rothnic -- it is version 0.4.04.
I have tested this on the G Tablet use CM6.1 beta 4
I tested it with the qik that is on my evo.. the video quality had a lot to be desired.. the video quality that is broadcast over the net onto the phone looked good.. the video from the phone to the tablet looked way too zoomed.. it had a lot of artifacts.. looked like a really bad bootleg cam release
Anyhow.. thanks rothnic for the rip.. happy to have something to play with / add to my collection of working apps.
http://www.rickstoyroom.com/r2/Qik-gtab-videochat.apk ** Right click > Save as
It saves as a .zip file for me. Do I just rename it .apk??
Newbie to the G-Pad

Saved as Qik-gtab-videochat.apk for me so maybe try to download it again..
Link dead.
Does this work with the new tegra driver update? The built-in cam app no longer works so I'm guessing Qik won't get camera to work either.
I was able to get Yahoo Messenger Video Calling to work, but it's not consistent at all.
Using CM6.1B4, and restored the Yahoo app and Video add on from a Titanium Backup from my Evo.
If anybody gets this working, please let me know what tweaks you used to do it.
THANKS!
Krissy
I want to download this but the link is STILL dead.
Link works fine.. its sitting on my personal web server.. so I know for a fact that it is up.
Link works, but .zip and not .apk. No .apk inside either...
Downloaded and installed direct from my gtab (TnT Lite). Zero issue. Thanks for the upload!
Worked first try for me. Thanks
I played around with this a few weeks ago. How are you "video" chatting? I only saw the ability to send a video to your "qik" web page for others to watch and at that it had a 10-20 second delay.

I think you are using a different version of Qik. There are several versions out and you need to have the one from the Galaxy tab to have the video chat working.
What is the version #? I have 1.6. 1.89, and 2.60
downlowded from your link. Thanks.. working now
But, you can only video chat with someone who has qik on their "front facing camera" phone? You can not chat with another gtablet user on wifi correct?

You can video chat with anyone with Qik installed and a front facing camera. Doesn't matter if it is on wifi or not. I used Qik to chat with my wife from my gtab to her gtab. It sucked. Very unstable. Nothing like Skype from laptop to laptop.

The link isn't dead... scroll to the top and click the link to the right of "View Full version"...
Stupid work thinks the link points to a *games* site and won't let me download. Probably because the URL has toy in it.
I'm getting FC running Vegan Ginger CM&7

That happens sometimes, just rename to apk.

[Q] Uploading HTC HD7 videos to Youtube?

Hi guys,
I was trying to upload some videos I made with my HTC HD7, but failed to do so.
I do have a Zune software, and managed easily to transfer videos to my computer, but mp4 file I get is one I can't open or upload to Youtube(unable to convert, it says, after it hits 100%).
How did you do it? Directly from your phone, or what? Which application do I need?
Thanks in advance, cheers!
So, no one uploades videos on youtube?
Whatever.
hmmm i haven't tried moving from HD7 to computer but it should be the same for videos which i think you have down, but maybe it's a different format that youtube doesn't eccept like some audio codecs or something?
try vlc player to play them onthe computer, if that plays it, then the file is fine.
if it doesn't but on the phone it does, something is going on when transfering.
after that i guess you might need to convert the file to something youtube is friendly with the like i think H264 or something like that i can't remember.
sorry if i cant help too much
Thanks for your reply, tombrighteyes.
I tried a lot of these things.
VLC couldn't open it. Then I tried downloading different codecs - no success.
I also tried importing it to Movie Maker and Sony Vegas Pro 10. No can do
Converting - can't recognize that file. Like it's some kind of alien mp4, idk..
Really annoying.
am I missing something also about uploading them. I could upload them direct from my TP2 by attaching them to an email. now I can't find the attach menu item for nothing but pictures. like we don't send files from our phones. stupid microsoft.

yeah at the moment now video sending via e-mail or MMS which sucks but what can we do for now. just hope that with an update like mango or something we can have that feature.
let me try and get a video from my phone to test if its just yours or mine is fine and will reply back.
(Edit) just tried with a small recording of about a minute. worked fine :/ which is wierd for you..
i have the HD7 T-mobile US ver 7392 recorded at 720p highest
did you try recording different in different settings? or maybe length times? try recording something quick and see if that works. maybe something hada hiccup when recording for so long.
im not sure, oh and btw running Win 7 64-bit and it ran under my windows media player just fine. im not sure if it's default but i do allways install the K-lite codec pack found around the web that makes most video files on windows media player if anything else i use VLC.
try these things, you never know.
Thanks a bunch, tombrighteyes!
I did just that. Tried it on my laptop which has 64 bit Windows 7, and installed K Lite Codec Pack, and it worked! On my dekstop, though, the same technique didn't work, but that doesn't matter since I can upload everything now
Cheers!

4.2.2 - Zoe & HTC share

Hi,
I tried searching but haven't found anything -
Did anyone notice that Zoe pictures are being saved differently in 4.2.2 ? instead of a collection of *ZOE*.jpg there are big MP4 files.
Also, when I tried uploading to HTC share it wouldn't let me, saying that the limit for file size is 40MB..

Definitely seems like a improvement to me. I remember that the *ZOE*.jpg cluttered dropbox or flickr with those images. Probably won't be much of a problem with MP4 files.
Oh it's definitely for the better.. no argument there.
It's just weird that because they made big MP4 files instead of the JPG's, the files go over 40 megs, then you can't upload them to HTC share.
So.. sorry to bump and all but -
Can anyone tell me if they are able to upload to a collection to HTC-share using 4.2.2 ?
Bumping this up.
I've been using Dropbox until now for auto-uploading my photos and I've set up my Flickr because it is just better for pictures.
However my issue is Zoes.
I'm still on 4.1.2 and I just get a photo uploading to Flickr. How can I upload the video?
Any ideas?
