I apologize if this has been asked, but I am on my phone and can't search (hence the question) with the XDA app because I get a fc. Anyone else having issues?

Just tried to search and had no problems.

I stand corrected. After days with no ability to search, my search function on the phone now works. Huh...weird.

It tends to clash with jit if you have it on.

Nope, jit is off (never was on). But like I said, it just started working this morning. Last night, and since I downloaded it I got a FC every time, but tried it again this morning and it worked, so whatever the issue was, it solved itself without my doing anything

Hello, I have a nexus one with cm6 on it and I noticed when I put it in the dock the weather says currently unavailable. But if I just open the apologize it works just fine. I don't know what would be causing this but I just wanted to see if anyone else was having this problem.

Yeah, it does happen sometimes. I've had it happen but not all the time. Sometimes it shows me data from a while back as I have it set to update based on location. When i was in DC it updated but after coming back to NYC and playing around it still showed me DCs data instead of currently (already refreshed) NYC/CT data.
It's a rather an annoying problem that happens with me too since the pre-releases of froyo..
It happens to me every night. But other wise it update the weather section just fine. I didn't notice this in previous builds. Maybe later ill put rc1 or 3 back on my nexus one and see if its the same or not. I'm thinking it isn't.

Has anyone had a problem with the xda app force closing regularly? It only happens when I open it up shortly after closing it.....running cm6
Sent from froyo using XDA App
cant say i have had that problem. have your tried uninstalling and installing it again?
Happens to me all the time. If I click home on my phone then reopen XDA it will attempt to connect for a long time, I usually click the back button to stop this, sometimes depending where I am in the app it will force close me. Open again and its fine
also cm6
I've had that with the updated xda app so I just use the older version
Root-Hack-Mod-Always™
I get it sometimes. I just figured after idling it loses connection to xda server and force closes.

I have noticed at home if I leave XDA open in my browser and come back to it, say 1 hour later, it has logged me out. Not a big deal, I just wish the cookie lasted longer.

I just got my Hero a few days ago. It is running aospMOD 0.9.5, overclocked with SetCPU and using LauncherPro (pretty sure I'll buy LPP!) so the following may be of limited value: The XDA app is the only thing to force-close on me so far, and it has happened 2 or 3 times at least.
Yeah, it happens every time I open it....then its fine....
I bought LPP too because I like the Widgets

On my theme, it's themed and no FC that I know of
I was just wondering if anyone else is having the same issue as I am with weatherbug. It seems as if it no longer is updating and the specified intervals and you have to go in the app and manually refresh it. Anyone else having this issue and if you are have you found any solution to it?
Same problem, no response from developers...
Sad situation, nothing we can do but complain.
Mind started randomly doing this after the last update too.
Most of the time it works properly, but some times I will check it and it hasn't updated for a day. It's weird because the thing used to be flawless.
I was also having this issue randomly not updating I unistalled it
Were you guys trying both accuweather and google? I know google isn't as reliable as accuweather with this app.

Its not the weather, its The app that is not updating. The support contacted me and told me to check if any task killers are killing the app and if that doesn't work to reinstall. Well I don't use a task killer and reinstalation doesn't work. I've also noticed that if the phone is asleep for a long time with no network activity it doesn't update but if your using the phone it does update on its own

Gotcha. I don't see a lapse in refresh on my end. And I flash ROMs every week or so heh...

Maybe its gingerbread that's causing the issues

Could be gingy. I know that for example the Sony Ericsson LiveView cannot connect via BT to it as of now, so it would not surprise me. Have you notified the dev if their app is indeed gingerbread compatible?
I recall that when Froyo went live or ROM flashable for me, lol...Weatherbug had similar issues until they updated the apk.

I haven't asked. I will send an email

Make sure you didn't move the WeatherBug app to SD Card (via Froyo method, a2ext should be fine) because that will kill the service quickly.

I just got my tablet yesterday and it seems to crash pretty often... it would vibrate once, freeze, then vibrate a few more times before it freezes and FC whatever I'm doing.
What should I do?
(From what I can tell, the sprint version is the least popular version )

Try to root it first, and change your rom and kernel. Did you install any applications or whatever that are, well, funny?
Moved to Q&A.........
Nope no funny stuff, completely stock. A lot of people have problem roofing the sprint one after ota so I didn't bother... guess I'll give it a shot.

Im new to android so take it easy one me. I just converted from iOS to Android so i got lots to learn still.
I have a HTC One Running viperROM with Wolfpack kernel.
I have noticed that while running Pandora (haven't used any other music apps) i get a lot of stuttering (Skipping) throughout the whole time it plays no matter what song plays. I noticed it stopped skipping when ViperBoy sent an OTA update (1.0.3). i looked at the change log and noticed that he Improved hosts file code.
Now i went and added a bunch of new apps to my HTC One and notived it started to do it again. After going crazy for about a day i started looking around for the problem and noticed that i installed an ad blocking app (adfree) that happens to mess with the host file. uninstalled it and the problem was gone.
after this i decided to download other ad blocking apps and it did the same with all. (Adaway & Adblock).
I don't know if someone already brought up this issue anywhere else on the forum since i did do a search and nothing was really found.
I just figure i would give a heads up on this situation just in case some others are having the same issue.
(Remove or disable ad blocking apps and Pandora is working fine.) hopefully that helps some of you.
This was a major piece of discussion in the viperrom thread.
