Glowing Circle Battery Icon
Last updated October 7, 2010
This MetaMorph theme replaces the battery icon with a smooth-scrolling circle battery. "But there are plenty of those!", you may be exclaiming. What makes mine unique? The percentage inside the circle has a slight glow to it, depending on battery level. The charging animation is also a gradient instead of a solid color!

Here are the color stages:
0-15 = Red
16-30 = Orange
31-50 = Yellow
51-75 = Green
76-100 = Blue
REQUIRES A DEODEXED ROM
To apply:
- Make sure you have a recent nandroid backup
- Download theme and place on SD card
- Open the theme in MetaMorph and apply it
- Wasn't that easy?
Please note: I will not be taking requests for this theme. If you don't like the blue color, or want other colors, I'm sorry, I simply don't have time to do requests. I've posted the photoshop document below incase you want to give it a whack

Love this battery, just wish I could get it working. This was my first attempt on meta morph too so it def.could be user error.
I followed the intructions on first post, then reboot and now where the battery is supposed to be it just gave me no icon, just a black space. I'm on 2.2, any other info you need...
Thanks for any help

Looks awesome, but doesn't seem to work on CM6. Doesn't really surprise me, considering CM is built from source. Hopefully somebody ports this mod.
This icon looks great but I can't get it to replace my current battery icon. I used metamorph for my current icon but when I try to get this one to replace it, the phone reboots like it worked but when it finishes booting it still has my old icon. Any ideas? I've tried it 4 times now with no luck.
hey guys please help me out i m a total noob to metamorph n i really liked that battery icon please tell me how get it on my phone
i have a samsung galaxy 3 GT-I5801 rooted i have metamorph and busybox free version installed

If you are unable to get this mod to work, try the following:
Unzip the package
Navigate to framework-res/res/
Rename the drawable-hdpi-v4 folder to drawable-hdpi
Re-zip package and install on phone
Attached is the mod with these steps applied. This is UNTESTED so let me know how it works for you guys.
Has anybody been able to get this to work in cm6 builds?
Great job on the new zip. It worked on my X. Thanks for fixing that issue.

You need to install MetaMorph (its in the market)
These are NOT flashable zip files!
The main reason for using MetaMorph is that themes can be used all roms that share the original base when designing a theme.
see my first post for more details of MetaMorph including link.

After testing "black mix" myself on a new install of Modaco 3.0 you are correct it does not seem to like the theme
I have amended my original post with a warning.
On a side note I would advise anyone using Modaco 3.0 and stuck in a boot loop just to pull the battery and re-flash the rom without a wipe, this will bring you back from dead
Worked on CDMA, too.
I have a noob question. After I've applied a zip do I have to keep it on the SD card? I like to keep mine as clean as possible and if I don't need them on the card I would remove them. Oh, if I can make a request. Can you make an dark orange theme as well? I've always liked that orange/bronze look. Thanks.

@ratcom, you mentioned for the black them not to use on Modaco 3.0 roms. Is there a specific reason for it and does this mean all other themes posted ar Modaco 3.0 compatible ?

Here is a HTC Froyo Sense theme for the Huawei Ascend.
Must have root permissions
Version 0.5
Download: View attachment HTCFroyoAscend.zip (metamorph)
Make clock white after install:
After you reboot, open Root Explorer.
With root explorer, browse to /system/build.prop.
Long tap on build.prop and select Open in Text Editor.
Scroll down and find hw_customizetype=01 and change it to hw_customizetype=02.
Save your changes and reboot.
Or simply download and replace the build.prop with the one that is attached to this thread.
Download: View attachment buildprop.zip

Resore the Nand backup that you made right before installing this theme If you use ZipThemer to install themes instead of MetaMorph, it has a much less painful "undo" feature.
OP, I've attached an updated version of the theme that also installs build.prop into /system/. Note that in this updated version, everything is in the root of the zip file instead of inside the HTCFroyoAscend directory (required for compatibility with ZipThemer).
And that comment in the <useless> tag looks awfully familiar, just like the one I put in my HtcBlackStatusBar theme for the Eris
Ken

Well I used metamorph to install the theme and it looks good...but my notification bar didn't change to black. Only black boxes around my 3G, signal, and battery. Did I do something wrong?
Sent from my M860 using XDA App
If the notifican bar has black around the icons on it the bar has changed to black, its not showing up because the buildprop file needs to be edited. Use root explorer and long press the buildprop file and open it in text editor, find hw_customizetype=01 and change it to hw_customizetype=02 save changes exit and reboot.
Thanks dude. Works great now. Looks awesome

Very Sorry! I have pushed them as far right as possible let me know if that works better. Sorry for the Ads just trying to pay for the hosting for the kitchen.
Works now when viewing the full site, still not the mobile but that isn't a big deal. I understand the need for the ads though! What better way to get clicks than to cover up the submit button
now though it is giving me an error "content error - the requested file is too large for conversion in the gateway/proxy". Sorry for causing all this trouble! Is there anything i can do to help?
Just want to say thanks for all of your hard work new to the ROM thing here , love Serendipity makes my phone run 1000% better than before!

After some tinkering I got this nice epic unlock. But the Orb and Glass unlock kept the month and date. So can anyone help me with remove that? I don't know how to edit xml, but I'm willing to learn.

Awesome zarras!
Thank you for your effort to to this.
But could you please offer some other icons in your framework cause i hate those colorful ones
I got you a PM cuz I couldnt post links ´... post leak >.>
or could you tell me (or give me a link to a tutorial) how to create that myself
Thanks, Martin
Hey MoFosis, i saw your links and its a great minimalistic work. Unfortunately atm i dont have much time to spare on this, but i'll keep it in my mind for a future use.
The file packages you have to edit is framework-res.apk & lge-res.apk.
They are located in /system/framework directory. Copy them --> PC, and then open them with 7zip. Your targets are
\system\framework\framework-res.apk\res\drawable-hdpi\
\system\framework\lge-res.apk\res\drawable-hdpi\
In those folders you will find all the icons you need to change
When you are done you copy them back into your phone's /system/framework (adjust permissions is needed use Root explorer or similar)
Ok I'll try my best!
Thank you.
