Hi, i've heard HTC has released an official htc desire 2.3 RUU for developers.
Correct me if im wrong, which means it can be ported to the nexus one right?
Hope to see it soon if it is possible.
Question is in the title, basically I have been trying to get RumFloat Beta3 on my phone all day and it always get stuck in a boot loop.
The only thing I noticed after scouring the forums is that the Vivid has a different hboot version -- can this make a difference?
Also could I use a ATT Vivid RUU on my phone?
If not, what other differences are there from the ATT Vivid and Raider?
You can flash any GB based Rom on raider. You have to flash boot.ing assotiated with the Rom to fix bootloop.

To answer your question properly no you can't run ICS atm because ICS uses a higher hboot version. You'll have to wait for the OTA update to come out so you can update your hboot and then you can flash the Rum Float Rom.

No you cannot use Rumfloat beta3 until you get the HBOOT upgrade for ICS OTA for the Raider.

So am I correct to assume the AT&T Vivid came with a higher hboot version?
I draw this conclusion from the fact that many people here have ICS running already.
At&t Vivid came shipped with Gingerbread; HBOOT 1.83. OTA update for the Vivid upgrades the HBOOT to 1.85. So I would not just flash any rom for ICS until you upgrade the HBOOT.

No, it came with the same HBOOT version (locked to the device variant), but the OTA and RUU update the HBOOT to the new one.

No way to make-shift that OTA/RUU work for me/upgrade my hboot currently? ( I doubt it, life would be too easy)
Code:
Knowing Rogers, they will never update, ever. Only hope if this is the case is the guy with the Security Off Vivid direct from HTC -- and great devs; but that's a long shot on all fronts, and I am sure a while away.
Edit:
Appears ICS for Raider in Canada both Bell and Rogers is in the works, according to HTC Taiwain Facebook page:

In addition, the HTC Raider is on the list to receive ICS for customers of Rogers and Bell in Canada. Stay tuned for more news on Ice Cream Sandwich releases in the coming weeks.

The HTC has just started rolling out the OTA for ICS recently. The Raider is on the list and though I can't find the article I know it's been confirmed for the Rogers/Bell Raider. With out having gone live in Australia I'm sure we only got another week or 2 before it hits here.
Here's an update reported on Mobile Syrup this morning:

Hello, I was wondering if it is possible to s-off my htc one after my device was updated to software version 1.26.502.15?? if not will it be possible soon? thanks
i sure hope someone is working on it...i purchased one last week already installed
Take a look at the AT&T HTC One forum, in the General section.
Hi,
I recently bought HTC One developer edition using in India,
Received the Android 4.3 Jellybean Update after 2 minor updates of 17.2mb and 17.6mb, after update i came to know it still have the older version of sense i.e 5.0. Currently the device has Software version 3.22.1540.1.(see the attached screenshot). Also I have seen the devices running 4.3 with sense 5.5 have software version 3.62.401.1
So Please help me understand what went wrong with the updates and help me to get sense 5.5 update.
Thanks
Nothing went wrong, the US versions are Sense 5.0 (they got Android 4.3 before everybody else). I suspect you'll get Sense 5.5 or newer with Android 4.4 early next month.
you can always flash a custom rom .
Try Android Revolution . it is pretty good with sense 5.5

It was from my understanding that the Dev. edition is the same everywhere. There is no US Developer edition.
About the Sense 5.5, I do know that not every HTC One has Android 4.3 and Sense 5.5. There are Android 4.3 and Sense 5.5, and Android 4.3 and Sense 5.0 firmwares out there. There is nothing wrong with your update. I know the US versions don't have Sense 5.5 yet: just like BenPope stated. LoL!! It was funny typing your name.

There might not be a "US Developer edition", but the LTE bands are for AT&T & TMobile in the USA, and it's only sold in the States; take away from that what you will.
The Developer Edition is currently using 4.3 with Sense 5.0. The European phones received Sense 5.5, but the Developer Edition is a US phone. Not a bad thing. You'll be getting Android 4.4 before everybody else I suspect, and likely with Sense 5.5 or newer.
Thank you folks for your reply
I have contacted HTC India, they told me to contact HTC USA So @No_Nickname90 i guess there is a US Dev Edition.
Contacted HTC USA, told them the problem and they asked me to go to htcdev.com for the update which i'm looking for.(didn't find the update "software version 3.62.401.1" for HTC dev edition)
So this was the reply from them.
I am sorry to know you did not find the kernel source code you were looking for; we will release source code in accordance with any applicable open source license terms. We are working to release appropriate kernel code bases as soon as possible after device launch but we cannot guarantee the exact time frame. Other source codes, which are not required to be disclosed by the open source license terms, unfortunately cannot be disclosed by HTC as they may be proprietary to HTC or its licensor.
If you're using the developer edition software, you'd have to convert it to use the European version (3.62.401.1) that you mentioned. You could do it and get Sense 5.5 with some work, or you can wait 1-2 weeks and HTC will be updating the Developer Edition over the air with even newer software. If you convert to the European version, you'll be waiting longer for Android 4.4.
Remember, they are still the same phone on a hardware level. So if your Dev Edition is working correctly with your carrier, just wait for the update that is rolling out very soon.
If you want to convert, you'll need to use Rumrunner to get S-Off, change the CID to HTC__001 and the MID to PN710000, downgrade bootloader to v 1.44, downgrade the touchscreen firmware, then flash the European software to your phone. Once done, you should receive the OTA update to Android 4.3 with Sense 5.5. It's a lot of work for a small (and temporary) gain. Another option is to use TWRP and a Guru Reset file from http://www.htc1guru.com/downloads/stock-rom-downloads/ Make sure to flash the stock recovery and radio when doing that so you receive future updates. For that method, you still need to be S-Off, CID HTC__001, and MID PN710000.
My recommendation is to leave it the way it is. If you convert, you'll be back here in two weeks disappointed that you have to wait for Android 4.4.
i want sense 6 for my htc one but i need the ruu.
Sense 6 has not been officially released for the M7UL yet, so you'll need to flash one of the ROMs found around here.. No RUU available yet..
